They wrapped all the furniture in blankets and taped them up, nothing even had a chance to scratch. We had so many boxes, and they handled them all quickly and efficiently. Absolutely nothing was broken when we unpacked. Two of the boxes had liquor, and they kindly told us to re-wrap with more newspaper as the bottles were too loose and likely to break. We put Blue painters tape on all the furniture and odds and ends that were to be moved. They didn't miss a thing. I told them that there was nothing in the bathrooms, but they asked us to check before they left, and I found one last thing that I forgot, a big basket can. They have huge boxes on wheels where they put all large odds and ends (ironing board, etc). Also their supervisor came over just before they left, to ask us if everything went smoothly and they packed carefully, then left me his card and cell. A+. Definitely recommend 100%. Reasonable rates, they drove from New Jersey to Pennsylvania and we paid a fixed rate of $2,020 for 4-5 hours (I forget which). Here's another tip: pack like hell a couple of days beforehand. We kept finding things we forgot until the last minute. If not, Main Street Movers will pack for you for a charge.

What they basically do is work with a select group of movers in the area and then direct you to them. Liberty Group was the one who serviced my area so, that is who we went with. From day one they have made this process so smooth I almost could not believe it! Brian came out and did the inspection and he was very professional and gave me some peace of mind when he said that it was an easy move as we are moving from a two bedroom to one bedroom. Honestly I just wanted to get the hell out of my old neighborhood as fast as possible and was very anxious. Barbara at their office was very prompt with her responses and extremely helpful. Juan and his team who arrived the day of the move where absolutely excellent and I realized that this is because they really are professionals. They showed up an hour early which I greatly appreciated and only went over one hour but did not charge us for it so basically, what we where estimated and what we actually paid (around $940) was correct. This company saved me so much stress, you have no idea. I was stressing about this move since late November and when the day came, they made it so much easier and I cannot thank them enough. This was the worst moving experience imaginable and feels like outright sabotage. After 2 previous moves through Ed Scott and besides acknowledging "never seeing anything like this", no accountability! United Van Lines crew intentionally and recklessly tampered with my personally sealed boxes - they cut them open, inserted heavy items like boxes and chairs at the bottom, then resealed them poorly. This caused catastrophic crushing and damage: over 16 garment boxes completely ruined, my wood credenza smashed (slate top shattered), leather bench badly scuffed, and virtually every item in the shipment damaged in some way. This wasn't accidental rough handling - it was purposeful interference with sealed personal property, violating my privacy and trust. They had no right to open or tamper with my sealed boxes. This conduct appears to breach federal transportation regulations criminal mischief under New Jersey law for - purposely or recklessly damaging/tampering with another's property. The financial and emotional toll has been enormous - thousands in ruined clothing, furniture, and irreplaceable items. Their claims process? A joke - $150 on almost $20K of damage that doesn't come close to covering the destruction they caused. Do NOT use Liberty/United Van Lines. They destroy belongings, invade privacy, and leave customers devastated.

But this company made my experience so smooth and wonderful. First off, the booking process was seamless. On the day of the move, the three movers and truck came earlier than expected, which was great. They started bringing my things down almost instantly, and even packed up some of my clothes and leftover items with their boxes. Overall, they handled everything, especially the fragile items, with such care and attentiveness. They even offered to reassemble some of the furniture that they had to break down to fit into their truck. They also finished in record time, before the time frame they initially blocked out. It might've been because I was only making a local move, but the whole process was so quick and was finished within a little over an hour.
