The owner is a pleasant person and also a patient one . The condition s of my belongings that I had stored , we're in perfect condition. He was always responsive when I called . I even left to live in Connecticut for a good six months leaving my things in storage each time I returned to pay my bill or picked up something I needed all was in tact as how I had left it. Storage facilities are dirty, no temp control. Objects that can melt, will. Better to give your belongings away then storing with NICK. Luckily they no longer offer moving so no danger there. When I decided to move across the country coast to coast, I couldn't think of any other option. It started off in October when we sold our house & had to get rid of half of our house. Genmove did the Junk Removal service to get rid of our headache. As we ended up selling our house early, Genmove picked up our stuff & kept it in storage for 2 months. On getting possession of our new house, we informed Genmove & they expedited the shipment & we got it in 5 days! We just received our stuff. Main Street Movers sent Alex Della Valle to my house to ensure I received an accurate quote for my…read moremove. Based on his assessment, three men and a 26 foot truck arrived on moving day. What should have been a simple two bedroom condo move took two round trips and 12 exhausting and stressful hours. The cost went from the estimated $2,000 to $3,000. I depended on Alex to know that in order to ensure a smooth move in a timely manner at the price he quoted, he needed to send a larger truck and more men. The three men arrived on time, were hardworking and careful with my belongings. However, during the last few hours, we were all exhausted. In a desperate effort to finish, I had to bring things in myself, and was unable to supervise. This resulted in the second load of boxes in complete disarray and many on the wrong floor of the house. A month later I am still unable to locate important items. When we called Main Street Movers to discuss it, Alex blamed the incompetence of sending too few men and a wrong size truck on their operations department. He denied low balling the estimate. The owners, Karen Mantzouranis and Tom Mantzouranis, refused to get on the phone at all or take any responsibility for our horrendous move. Please be forewarned and do not use Main Street movers.
