I have read the reviews for this place, and it would be wrong of me to not be completely honest. Primarily, depending on your storage unit, the rent can be on the $$$ side. Be mindful of that. Also, sometimes the office was closed for a short amount of time. At first this was frustrating, until I learned it was due to there being only one employee on the property, and she was cleaning up the property at that time. Which drove my respect up for her a mile high due to how exceedingly hot it was outside. So just be patient. ~ As for the facility, my mother held her father's 1969 Ford Mustang in here for almost two years; a classic car I hope to soon get restored. The unit, however, eventually got too expensive - to the point that we had to move it to another location. No issue though, for we knew the costs, paid as much as we could, and then moved on. The car remained safe for way over a year in a good quality unit, and I'd gladly rent from them again. Every storage facility has their difficulties, but any difficulty encountered during our rental period here was solely the fault of us, never anyone at the facility. Which is a wonderful thing to have occurred. In fact, at some point throughout our time here, my mother completely lost the key to the unit, which caused a few downs to take place. Though it ended up being hilarious after. Regarding that, in the time of that lost key, the property manager, Melissa, showed such a deep regard of empathy toward us. She knew of the expenses and how we could no longer deal with them, and in coming to the knowledge of the lost key, she immediately emailed her boss to get the proper forms sent to us, to get the lock cut off as soon as possible, so not to deal with anymore charges and get the unit vacated properly. Not only that, but she allowed us to vacate outside of the date that I mistakenly set online at the beginning of the month of August - to the end of that month. That of which may just be normal policy, but through that entire process; to the very end, she continued to display patience, kindness, and genuine respect in every moment until we got the car out and beyond. Very breezy process to get the storage unit booked. First search online for best deal fits you, typically at least 40% off of first month rental can be found. Next site walk through and decide which unit type fits your need. Melissa from this storage branch is very helpful and easy to walk with. I have rented from Public Storage at 12105 SE 30th in Bellevue several times and been happy but NOT THIS TIME. I was told the rent was $199 a month . I assumed that was for a year. I listened carefully to the manager but I did not read the fine print. That was my mistake. I feel i should have been told that they have the right to raise the rent at any time and for any amount. After 4 months they raised the rent to $250 and now they have raised it to $288. So in just a year the rent has gone up almost 50%. I think this company practice is very unfair and greedy!!!!! I understand an increase yearly but not by 50% . SO BEWARE and read the fine print !!!! read more

Update: I called and talked to a gal there and explained my situation, and she understood my frustration and told me the gate was broken and that as long as I got my things out by December 1 at 6:30 AM, I would not be charged for the month of December. SOO,I drove over an hour from where I live to the storage unit facility and had someone meet me there with a truck on November 30 and the gate would not let me in!!! I tried several times and it denied me access. I called and left a message while standing outside of the office and noticed there was two people sitting in a car backed in for a very long time while we were there. While doing this, the two women in the car quickly scurried into the building while I was leaving the message. I'm assuming because they were going in, they lived and worked there. Not once did they offer any sort of help to customers who are obviously having a difficult time getting access to their possessions! The next day when I finally got a phone call back from the manager Melissa, she was EXTREMELY rude, condescending, unapologetic, and at one point was actually scolding me at one point!! She showed zero empathy, understanding, nor did she offer any sort of resolution other than telling me, I now owed another $180 I want my stuff!! She's obviously a miserable per person who hates her job and wants everybody else to be as miserable as she is! I'd feel more sorry for her if her and her company weren't royally, bending me over the rail! She actually started questioning me even going to the facility and accused me of lying because she said I DID have access and should not had any problem getting in... which was clearly a lie! I was then able to tell her that I saw two women sitting in a car out front that scurried in who can prove that I was there! She then got all pissy and said, well, that was me and my daughter! So, not only did she have proof that I was there... But she also did nothing to help a customer, who obviously was having a difficult time, accessing their things in her facility! I will continue to give updates and post this in as many places all over the Internet as possible and I'm also calling Get Jesse and my attorney! It's not the money... It is the principal and these crooks should be behind bars! What they are doing to people, and their livelihood is sickening, and need to be taught a lesson! read more

The experience I have had with the corporate level customer service and other callers and texters and emailers who could not tell up from down in trying to properly credit their promotion to my account was maddening. During this pandemic, this has been the worst company to deal with. The rates are ridiculous at the moment and it is very hard for my family to even find a place to reside because of Covid. We are paying more to keep our stuff there, than monthly housing and I get a feeling the storage has an interest in my families belongings which pretty much is everything we need to continue to operate our businesses. The customer service is way below average. Maybe try providing solutions for your customers who have been affected by what's going on and teach the employees how to communicate using empathy for all customers wether it's billing or general questions. Just a start! But this will be the last time we do business here and hopefully all of our belongings are where we left them. read more

This is the Public Storage Accessibility Policy - Public Storage is committed to ensuring that our facilities, goods, and services are accessible to individuals with disabilities. On 2 of the 3 occasions I visited the office, as a person with an accessible parking placard, I had to park half in the accessible spot and half in the one to the left as a white car was parked in the access lane for the accessible parking spot so someone could not get out of the right side of the car. When I spoke to the gentleman about it he made an excuse about having to carry something in to the office - however I guess a regular parking spot 10 feet away was not good enough for him. The storage unit building had a 2" lip to go up in order to get access to the elevator. That was impossible to get up with a mobility device yet they rented the unit to me knowing that I had a disability. Also the rental unit leaked which they did nothing about. I have had, at my expense, friends move my things to a different locker who do take accessibility and access into consideration. RATS! DO NOT RENT STORAGE HERE! I stored my personal belongings and business items in new boxes and plastic bins. The boxes were eaten into. The poop and urine was so concentrated that the boxes and all inside were thrown away. They ate clothing (not synthetic/polyester): cotton, linen, and some paper items strangely. I had office chairs that were fabric that had urine and poop, again, the trash. Wires from some of my equipment were chewed and ruined. WILL NOT REPORT TO MANAGEMENT: The biggest disappointment was the staff member's response to my despair. I was shocked when I went to pick up the remaining items. I asked her if she reported the rat infestation and damage to my property to her management. She said NO! That I needed to contact the insurance company. One of the staff members working with her was appalled at my upset when I was told it would not and did not get reported to anyone. He told me that they have rat traps surrounding the property and it's not the companies FAULT that rats make it through the rat traps surrounding the storage facility. He stood firm that it was my problem that my things were ruined and accepted no responsibility for the company NOT TELLING PEOPLE THAT THE STORAGE LOCATION HAS RATS and RUINS peoples personal belongings. He said "storage facilities" have RATS! I asked if he felt it was PUBLIC STORAGES responsibility to tell clients when they register for a storage unit that this particular properties has rats. He said NO, it is not their responsibility. Sadly, this staff member seems like a very conscious person. They both stood firm that they nor their company should have any responsibility that it was up to the insurance company to solve my problem. If you have PLASTIC BINS, maybe it's ok if you don't mind rat poop and urine. read more

I've stored with Public Storage before and understand it's a pretty simple business: I need a spot for my stuff, Public Storage has some spots I can pay for. When you move in, yeah they pay attention to you, but in a "It's my job to do this." kind of way. The manager is surly and acts as though she can't be bothered to be helpful in any great way; they only just recently began allowing access to your space outside of their office hours (which, for a place you're renting, seems like should have been the case from the get-go). All this to say, the customer service is BAD, with no signs that they care to change. There are probably several places you could store and get better care for (probably) cheaper. read more

Just booked this property through their website few days back. It was plain and simple, only few steps and I completed my application successfully without any trouble whatsoever. Went to collect the key from their store. Got a nice welcome from Lauren. She made all the paper works look pretty simple, took time to show us the property, explained us in clear terms about the things we need to. She is excellent in her assignment. WORST Public Storage Center in the area that we have ever used. We have 6 units that we use for personal and our businesses. I would not even give them 1 star! I highly RECOMMEND NOT using this facility. Use the one over by 520. Bait and Switch, tell you one thing and do another. I've had 3 different experiences now where they specifically say you can do one thing and then do another and then blame the contract. There is no accountability with the service person in the front office. The move out process was a NIGHTMARE. We called prior to the 6th of the month move out to explain we had to move out on the 10th they said no problem and then charged us for an ENTIRE MONTH. The person there is rude, unaccommodating. We had to escalate a few different issues to the Regional Managers. AWFUL! We are moving all 6 storage units out of this facility! read more

The facility is an extremely short drive if you live in the Factoria area which is great! Dorian, the site Manager was extremely helpful and got us a discount on our move in. He was very knowledgeable and very meticulous at the move in process. He is very friendly and cheerful to speak with. After seeing other PS units around the Bellevue area, it would be great if this PS place could include some light in units. It would also be great if the road could be paved at an even level. read more

Reasonably priced and secure. But smaller units have no light, which makes accessing them difficult when it's dark. The exterior door lock to the building where my unit is broken. And the fire doors close so quickly, it's difficult to get a cart full of stuff through before it closes. My unit is up an elevator, which adds to the challenge and time of moving stuff. read more

I highly recommend Sean! Knowledgeable and accommodating, he helped my husband and me with determining the right size and walking me through many units several times until we found the best one. He also instructed me about insurance options, walked through every step of the contract and explained the rates. Horrible. Gate hours are ridiculous. The unit I was assigned had a broken door (as several did). They raised my rates a month after move-in. Two out of three staff I've talked to seemed like they were trying their best to be unhelpful. The place across the street was $10 more than this dump and had better access hours, climate control, and a helpful staff but I went with PS to save money. They raised rates $11 after month 1. If you want storage in this location, go to the place across the street. They can't be worse than this. read more

I would have given 0 stars if possible. Worst experience moving out of any storage facility ever. They have specific hours of 9:30am to 6pm weekdays to access your own storage. They will NOT accommodate in any way. We had movers here at 8am and had to pay for them to sit here until "management" decides to open the gate at 9:30am on the dot. And when you call the main company, they route you to several different people and keep you on hold, then try to tell you that maybe it's because you haven't paid.... and then realize you are paid up so that wastes more time. It's ridiculous. Most storage facilities have better hours and more helpful staff. I will never ever use public storage again. read more

This morning we had movers hired to empty our storage unit for 8am. When we arrived at the facility the gate mentioned that the office hours were from 9:30-6. I called PS to ask them what was wrong with my gate code and they mentioned it needed to get reset. Long story short I got on and off the phone with PS 3 times being told something different from the customer service 3 times. Finally the last person I talked to told me nobody has access outside office hours. My moving company which is based in Bellevue commented that this is the only storage facility they have seen that doesn't allow access to the facility. 9:30am is a ridiculous time to open. On top of this when staff showed up to work at 9:10 in the morning they refused to open the gate for us stating that it will set off the alarm even though they immediately opened the gate so they could park inside the gate. They have been so unaccommodating.and unprofessional. Clearly a company that only does the bare minimum. There are other storage companies close to here and I highly recommend anywhere else. read more

High turnover at front desk. I wouldn't want to sit there all day either. However, the people there have been fine. One desk person would call before you were late for a friendly reminder. The latest desk help didn't call until well after I was late. I know that's my problem with a late payment, but still...you could call before the late fee was already on the books, right? Ancient facility with narrow uneven surfaces on the drives between buildings. Dark units. It's an ok place, but I've seen better. I don't know how they compare with pricing though. find a place with a central loading dock, this one doesn't have that and has you loading through double doors as you moor up to the side of the building. Your cart rolls away on the uneven surface, then you have to lift your heavy cart up the 4 inch threshold to the elevator lobby. Designed in 1972. You can do much better today. They do have an easy payment portal on line. That has been good. 5 stars for that. read more
