In two years, my 10x25 unit went from $180 to $440. I would avoid Public Storage in general.

Just don't go here. Started at $150/month and within a year they have raised my rent to $280

Would not recommend this facility. Access to your unit in my experience is very unreliable. There is no longer any attendant working here in person, all dealings are done online. This is fine until there is a problem, and there are many a problem at this unit. Today for example, the elevators were broken and I was unable to find stairs rendering me locked out of my unit on the second floor. Previously, my unit on the second floor has flooded. Go somewhere else. read more

I started storing my motorcycle at Public Storage, West Street Annapolis this week. Mac was so friendly and kind and the facility is secure with all the right steps for access. My 5'x10' drive-up access storage unit was clean and dry. The rate after the first month was cheaper than any other storage unit rentals in the area. Additionally, I got a bigger unit at Public Storage (competitors' units suggested were 5'x8' unit) at a lower price. All of this makes me feel so much better about storing my motorcycle to protect it from the salty air in my location. read more

Office manager, Eryn Laurie, was very professional and courteous showing me the space and setting up my account, well done. I didn't notice until after the fact that the entrance gate was out of order, which is a breach of security. Hope this is fixed very soon or I will change locations. read more

Received great service and a good value on a clean unit after being treated poorly at the facility on 1900 west.

This is the second unit I have rented at the West street location. The staff is very friendly. I got a phone call to set up my appointment within 3 minutes of reserving the unit online. The property manager was super friendly and very knowledgeable. She walked me to the unit and inspected it with me to make sure it fit my needs. After we did the paperwork, she went over the gate code with me to make sure it worked. Very thorough! I recommend this facility 100% read more

What started out as a 5-star review for super clean facility, really helpful on-site staff, and more has been reduced to 2 stars. I was told to expect regular and modest increases in rent, but never more than 10% and not within 6 months of the original contract. Right at the 6-month mark we get notice that rent is going up 14%. I've made three attempts to speak with someone about this. The first phone call was never returned, during the second in-person conversation I was told I had to speak to a manager off-site, and now that person has yet to call me back. So much for great customer service. We'll see how soon the next increase occurs. I'm very disappointed that what started as a really positive experience has shifted so quickly. read more

Started renting 4 months ago and yesterday I received an email notice that they're already increasing my rent amount. Unbelievable, I made it a point to check out of the space today. I refuse to be "bullied" into rent increases so quickly. Fortunately the items I had stored were minimal. I feel for others who have whole household content stored and are told 4 months after they start renting that they have a rent increase. read more

I was A tenant for 7 years. I had a unit at 2 different locations. The 1904 West St location said that once you move out and clean your stuff and take lock off come in office or call and notify them that you had moved out. I did that at that location. I moved Out of the 1712 West St location before the first of the month. I notified Them on the 30-31st that I had Moved. They called on the 6th about payment and try to say that I owe Them another month. I told Them I dont And I'm not paying. Spoke to regional manager and he is basing it off the decision of the employee who gave a different story of when I called in. Now they want to send it to collections. I paid them faithfully for 7 years and they making an issue of 5-6 days of when they was notified or I moved Out. So they say their policy is that if you don't move out or notify them by the first than you owe for the month. Well I guess The customer isn't right. I guess They need the money as you can see the amount of vacant units here that they are trying to rent out. Let alone it's not the cleanest place. They only 1 cart for the whole property. So if someone has the cart you have to carry your stuff up and down an elevator. Very inconvenient. Also they will increase you rates after being with them. They increase it $10 every 3-6 months. With a months notification. Like if you was to move your stuff before that month you will have to pay them anyway. Let alone who wants to keep moving there stuff. So they know that so they keep increasing it every 3-6 months. read more

I would definitely NOT recommend this facility. The security is questionable and the staff unfriendly and not helpful. The lock on our unit was cut. They notified us that it was cut but had no idea who or how it was cut. No cameras. The manager even suggested that someone we know did it! Really? Also, they are over priced. We got another unit twice the size in a cleaner facility with cameras for $14 less a month. read more

Fast...efficient...as advertised Tried to sell insurance by saying it was required yet when I brought in my renter's policy and said I was covered...manager just credited me with the difference. Never read policy or asked to speak to agent. Gate to facility was just broken and manager said they had to order new one. I've had several storage units over the years, and have dealt with a wide range of office help at these places. Joe and Millie were exceptionally pleasant, helpful, but also professional and knew their stuff! I checked out several places in town but made the decision to use this place even though it was not as convenient for me, because of the staff. Having to put things in storage is a pain in the neck , on that everyone can agree. These people make it much less painful. Do business here, you'll be glad you did! read more
