For being on the far side of Norman this place is worth the drive. It has a smoking area, the best pretzels in town, and great drinks, I've been plenty of times and never once had a complaint. Whatever the hiring process is it must be working! read more

Had the jalapeño bacon burger not even as good as Braum's and the fries were worse.

This review only pertains to my meal that I had yesterday. Normally I love this restaurant. I ordered the grilled chicken on a pretzel bun with fig and arugula. This must not be a popular menu item because they did not prepare this sandwich right. The chicken was tough and stringy. I was very disappointed with this particular meal and I am a fan of this restaurant. read more

I have never been here and had a bad experience or bad food! Everyone is super friendly and accommodating I love coming in for brunch and the mimosas. Then a nice relaxing night out on the patio for Wine Down Wednesdays they have just about everything you could want! read more

Amazing service and food! I'm from California and came in for a light lunch and got the ceviche and it was amazing! I will be coming back in future visits to Norman. Thank you Jessica for amazing service too. Very positive! read more

Our party was not informed of impending food or alcohol service cutoffs when we arrived late after an OU football game. Last call was made a half hour early and entirely unannounced. No opportunity was given to our party to place a last call drink order, nor was it ever an option to put in a food order of any kind for even the most basic of appetizers or snacks even though we arrived and were seated with a half hour remaining before closing. The manager at the location was extremely rude and demonstrated the worst customer service skills I've witnessed in quite a long time. Threats to remove beverages that were unfinished by an arbitrary closing time as well as loud hostile "announcements" along the same lines to several other groups in the restaurant were made. One other party was served what appeared to be a full meal order with only minutes given by the manager for them to eat it. While I understand from working in the industry that the folks serving patrons and the people managing them are of a mind to close out and clean up to get home customer service and satisfaction should remain the highest priority. Based on this experience I find myself completely unable to recommend this establishment to anyone. I will be finding elsewhere to take my business or to recommend to friends or coworkers on future visits to the area. read more

Great atmosphere and nice patio. We had a few beers and appetizers...all very good. Friendly staff and good service.

First experience and it was absolutely fabulous!!! Highly impressed with the Brussels sprouts, meatloaf was on point. A fabulous place to eat read more

Good service, tasty food, great drinks! Went here for a Christmas party and they were more than accommodating.

I came here on St. Patrick's day with some friends and the bar tender was in such a bad mood. People were trying to make her laugh and just hanging out with their friends and she couldn't wipe the disgusted look off her face for a minute. I don't know what everyone is going through. However, when you are getting paid and you're at work try acting like you care and that you're not in a bad mood, your getting paid, it's a holiday, have a shot and cheer the hell up. I won't be back for a while. read more

Arrived in Norman and this was our first dinner spot. My friend recommended it after having brunch here. We walked in and were able to get a table for two right away. Immediately the waitress stopped by to check in and provide us with water. We opted to start with two wines and the pigs in a blanket. Appetizer arrived and although it was good, it didn't blow me away. The pigs in a blanket themselves were warm, but the dipping sauce was room temp. From there I ordered the wings & a small house salad. The salad was good, little heavy on the dressing but it did come with egg, tomatoes and croutons. The wings were hot and served with a Bleu cheese dressing which had chunks of Bleu in it and it paired well with the wings. My friend opted for the roast beef, brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes and she gave the thumbs up. Good atmosphere- bar / pub setting, had tv's and it wasn't super loud. Appeared to have a good beer selection and some nightly specials. Overall I would eat here again! read more

We have been six to eight times and it never disappoints. We have tried lots of different entrees and they are always excellent. The two things we order every time is the beer cheese with pretzels and pigs in a blanket. These two small plates are awesome read more

Impressive beer and scotch selections for sure! We were able to get some pretty obscure libations here, that most other places just don't have. This place has a great feel and atmosphere and is much more than the typical sports-bar type thing. Far more refined. The food is good too. Try the pigs in blankets for an appetizer. read more

Nice restaurant/bar. Carries a good selection of microbrews including some local ones. Lots of TVs. Good service. We had several appetizers and enjoyed them all - frankly, every appetizer on the menu sounded good!. The other food I saw looked good too - fish, burgers, salads, sandwiches, steaks/chicken. read more

This is the place to come to if you want to sit at your table and never get any service. What a joke. On another note the menu was pretty pathetic as well. read more

I was /am really impressed with this place! I came in to have some "Me" time, and will 100% be back again! This is the perfect place for groups, small tables, and or to come eat by yourself. The bar atmosphere is great if you like cocktails yet not super fast pace places that kind of just send you on your way. I had the oysters which weren't the best I've had, but surely met my expectations, and satisfied my craving for Oysters! The Buffalo Shrimp is inane, the only complaint I have is there wasn't more...I could eat like 50 of these We got ours to go which should tell you how good they really were...We also got the pretzels which were so good, and also maintained it's freshness through the 10 minute ride home. They were piping hot which was impressive. Happy I found this place! read more

We love this place. Laid back, great atmosphere, tasty beer, good food. Can't go wrong with the chupacabra sandwich!

We have been twice since they opened. The food and service have been excellent both times. Try the chupacabra sandwich - it is outstanding. They definitely have a good beer list and my husband was impressed by their scotch selection. read more

Gave them another try and the food was great this time! Everyone was very pleased and they have new items on the menu.

Loved revisiting this place now that I'm in OK! Great beer selection. Wonderful app selection as well. Highly recommend the onion dip with house made chips, pretzels and beer cheese, and the squash puppies! Fantastic food and beer with a great ambiance. TVs all around with various channels (I personal like the food Network tv option). Lots of space and quiet on a weekend night in the summer. read more

Haven't had a bad meal yet. It's going to be loud on game nights because that's what they do best. Plenty of beer on tap and a wide variety, though in my experience it is a little higher, around $7-8. read more

The staff are very engaging and pleasant. While there, we sampled the Idaho nachos, the Chupacabra sandwich and topped it off with their amazing bread pudding! read more

Have been here a couple times for drinks and appetizers and it seems consistently very good. Our servers have always been friendly and prompt. The appetizers are delicious (my favorite is the squash puppies) and the cocktails are... generous. The patio is lovely, despite the view of the parking lot, but I wish it was nonsmoking. The ambiance indoors is nice and warm. Definitely a recommended spot if you are on this side of Norman. read more

Just totally lied to by hostess about outdoor seating. Denied empty table outside because group planned to "combine tables later". Won't be sad to see this place go read more

I was in Norman on business and dropped in for a late dinner. Bartender was very knowledgable about the beers they offered. He was very honest and had great recommendations. Food was OK. The pretzel app was excellent. I will be giving these guys another try for the service and beer selection. Order the Full Sail Session lager...it is excellent and you can't get it elsewhere unless you're on the east coast. read more

I had a fantastic time at this eating establishment. The pretzels and cheese where exquisite and I don't think the atmosphere could have been any better. I ordered the pretzel burger which went swimmingly with my bud light and coke. Although the wine could have been better it still was a treat to eat with my cake at the end of my meal. The waitress was fast on her feet and and just fabulous. The meal was all around divine that is why I decided to give it a 4 star review read more

Patio is awesome. Josh the manager walks the floor ensuring that all is well. Hal Smith Restaurant Group always have food with great value and service read more

I love this place. The loaded fries are the best (not on the menu anymore, but they'll still make them if you ask) but there's lots of other things good too. Delicious pretzels and burgers. Great pot roast. One of the best Old Fashions around. read more

We came in here late (after 10p.m.) due to many other places being closed. They only had a late night menu but it suited us just right! Sat at the bar and had great service. Great selection of beers and lots of TV's. read more

Went there for lunch on my birthday. Service was a little slow, but the food was delicious. The kids menu had some good surprises, the beer selection was good, but if you are going to serve someone a nice 9-point Belgian Trappist ale, don't serve it in a Bud Light pint glass. Just a tip. Had trouble getting a high chair that wasn't broken. Overall, I will come back. It's new, and there are a few kinks to work out, but the service, food, and beverages were good enough to let me look past that. Plus when the server found out it was my birthday, she insisted that I take a complimentary piece of bread pudding home with me, do I did. It was badass. read more

This place is great. Pigs in a blanket, and the pretzels and beer cheese are purely amazing.

Food was excellent, I had the shrimp tacos and orchard salad. BUT, the noise level was extremely loud (11 on scale of 1-10) even for a Friday night, and the service was very slow. One entree was forgotten and brought out late. read more

Our first time here tonight- we loved it! Great food, quick service, and it wasn't so overcrowded that you would feel uncomfortable. If we lived here (our kids go to OU)- we would be here all the time! Try the pigs in a blanket with beer cheese- you'll want more than 1 order of them! read more

Great local pub that is unusual in that they actually have good food. Their salads are wonderful. I love their chicken avocado salad with citrus dressing. They also have good burgers and home style entrees. Their patio is just great when the weather is nice! read more

Really was hoping for a better experience, but was sadly disappointed. To start of with the good the house pretzels and beer cheese were tasty and would recommend. After that it was rocky.... they had a good beer selections but were out of 2 of 4 beers displayed on their rotator chalk board when walking in. After that the bartender was shall we say aloof for much of the hour I was there. Lastly if you advertise carnitas tacos you should do better than a glorified pulled pork taco. Overall sad with the experience. read more

Excellent food. I had the pot roast and other person had the chicken casserole. Also had the tuna ceviche for an appetizer, great taste. Also have a wide beer selection (presumably the same for wine and liquor). read more

One and done for me. My wife and I made our first and for the foreseeable future last visit to Pub W in Norman. My wife ordered straight off the menu, I ordered the cheeseburger and carefully said "please hold the mayo and replace it with mustard". I always order that way because I do not want mustard added to the mayo, I want it instead of mayo. I checked my burger when the waitress placed it on the table and found mayo and only mayo. She asked me if I wanted her to take it back and asked her to do that. A few minutes later she returned with a cheeseburger swimming in mustard. Since the meat and the fries were lukewarm I assume they just scraped off the mayo and piled on the mustard to cover it up. All in all not a big deal but I expect better when I pay $10 for a burger. Norman has a number of places to get a good burger, I will stick to those for awhile. read more

Very plesantly surprised about how good this place was. Some friends and I tried the place out, because someone had a five dollar off coupon or something. The pot roast I tried the first time was very tender and tasty. I've been back three times since then. If I lived in Norman, I'd be going even more! read more

Everything was just OK. I got the fried chicken, which had a good flavor but was a bit dry. The service was good. My friends swear by this place so I may go back to see if the other menu items are good. If I do I will update my review. read more

Horrible attitude from wait staff if they even acknowledge you. Food is never prepared with specific instructions and Management and Female bartenders are very rude. Especially, long brown headed one. She is very disrespectful. I will never be going here again nor any of my family and friends. read more
