One of my favorite restaurant/bars in Norman. The Pub W burger is delicious, with a pretzel bun, beer cheese, and fried egg. I love their beer-battered fries. The loaded fries appetizer is also great. Beer menu is solid (good number of drafts and bottles). And they have very good (and strong!) cocktails. If you like variety, they have a draft flight...4 4oz pours of ANY draft (except seasonals). They have nightly specials, and I hear the weekend brunch is pretty good. Small outdoor patio, booths, and TV-packed bar area provide a variety of experiences. read more

My friend group, co-workers, and my family all love PubW! Before Covid hit, I often said It reminded me of Cheers! All the staff especially bartenders, really try to get to know their customers! Like most of the world, a lot has changed since 2020! When we go to Pub W now, I can say the standards of service haven't changed and the food and drinks are spot on. read more

I like chillin in the upstairs bar. Good vibes and I have some options on tap beer wise. I like heavy IPAs and while places are starting to carry them more and more, it's still difficult to find decent selections locally in Norman. Have only tried a couple snacks here and they were pretty good. I just like the vibe for a Norman hang out more than anything else read more

3.8 stars: Man oh man, I want to high-five whoever is in charge of the beverage program. I'm a beer snob, and let me tell you that The Force is strong with these guys when it comes to beer. They have rotating taps with beers that are actually halfway hard to get (and at times, completely rare like when they had the Founder's KBS or the Prairie/Mikkeller collboration IPA. Seriously? GREAT job guys!). They have all the scotches and whiskies that the average Okie could be interested in, I think. I didn't really check the wine menu, and that wouldn't be all that helpful anyway. I've always had good service here, so I don't think you need to worry about that. The food is always better than OK. It's not, like, mindblowing. But I'v enever been disappointed. But then again, I never think: dang yo, I need some of that Pub W Grub ASAP! I think you're likely to find something you like to eat here, and be pleased that you ordered it. I like the hummus, the chupacabra sandwich. You can tell it's a Hal Smith kind of place. Some of the foods and concepts seem a bit...recycled or something. The food is probably a hair on the expensive side, but not obnoxiously so. There's an underlying corporate feel that makes it less neighborly than it might otherwise be...? (This is coming from a local though; if you're an out-of-towner, then this kind of concern probably isn't applicable). So my one gripe out this place is a fundamental gripe: I'm not sure what kind of place it is. Is it really a pub? Well, it's called a pub and they have a fabulous beer menu and upstairs is a pretty neat/fun cigar bar area. It feels kind of trendy and hip. But so often, I'm in this place and it's all really quiet diners. White cloth napkins; nice new tables. It encourages people to treat it more as a casual restaurant (think: Charleston's, but not as nice or tasty). I don't know if I am supposed to get smashed and yell at NASCAR, or whether I am supposed to order a wine flight and make snooty comments about the floral bouquets and mouthfeel. This is a nice place. This is a fun place. Service and ambiance are very good. Good is fine. Beer is awesome. We like to go to Pub Dub. read more

Okay... This place is delicious! Their hummus appetizer and nachos are so good. I cannot wait to go back. My husband loves it because of all the televisions... Can you say sports? Both times I have gone I ate the chupacabra. It has a really nice and surprising kick to it. I haven't been able to order anything else because I know how good the chupacabra is. Basically this place is amazing! Give it a try for yourself:) read more

YUM! Make Pub W part of your regular restaurant go-tos if you live in the Norman area (or wherever you live). Their brunch, lunch, and dinner are all phenomenal. My favorites are: to start-Pub W Smothered Fries, for your meal-fried chicken Tuesday/Sundays, OR you can't go wrong with the Chupacabra, pretzel burger, or chicken salad sandwich. I love getting the sweet potato fries and glazed brussel sprouts as my side. To drink-anything! They have great bartending staff. This month they featured a spiced Moscow mule. It's my new favorite drink and am going to try to make a knock off of it at home. Get there now! read more

Pub W is a great place to grab and drink and dinner. TLDR; Check it out you will like it. I have been to Pub W for brunch, lunch and dinner. The brunch is really good and stays pretty busy. We love the burger selection and fries are good as well. I would stick to the sandwiches as everyone one I have had has been spot on. I have enjoyed the Chicken Salad sandwich and the classic burger. The drink selection is great and they have quite a few beers on tap. I usually stick to Guinness but my wife likes some of their speciality drinks. read more

I hate to leave this review but the service is seriously lacking. They are ALWAYS so slow!!!!!! Always! It's sad because we like the food but the service is ridiculous. The manager runs around everywhere shaking hands with people but needs to be concerned with service. We went tonight and it was a 20 minutes wait every time we ordered a drink. We are going to have to find another place to eat... read more

Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Cleanliness: 5/5 Decor & Style: 5/5 The pigs in a blanket were surprisingly amazing (for a bar)! Beer variety was larger than I expected, service was efficient and friendly, and the environment was great! Spacious and eye catching. I didn't get a chance to try any other dish but the Pigs in a blanket was great! I hope to come back and try other dishes in the future. Nice place, especially with it being 2-story. read more

I agree, best hot wings ever!! And they have amazing pretzels!! The food is wonderful, staff is always nice, great place to watch a game, have a romantic dinner, my wife and I love this place. read more

Last stop for girls night, nice place to grab some dessert and coffee and catch up with friends. I love the bread pudding and delicious whiskey sauce that's served on top of it. I've been there once before for dinner and thought the Irish nachos were tasty. On that trip I had the fish and chips, which were pretty standard, but nothing to write home about. Need to try a few more things from the menu to find something I like. It's the bread pudding that keeps me coming back. read more

Well, this place was a pleasant surprise. My Husband and I were on our way to Louie's in Brookhaven for lunch the other day and decided to come here instead. We were glad we did. They have a great beer selection and samplers available so you can try multiple options. Their menu is also great. It was really not what I was expecting from somewhere with "pub" in the name. It was pub food-ish, but stepped up a notch too. We were their for brunch and they had a nice bruch menu and all the mimosas you could want. The decor was also really nice and the noise level was good - not too loud like you get at some brunch places. We'll definitely be back. read more

We've been going to pub W for the last year. My wife and I have never had a bad service there. The staff seem so well trained and friendly. We prefers to sit at the bar and that's another experience the other bartenders there make you feel welcome give their first names to you and ask for your first name so it's very friendly friendly atmosphere. The food is amazing. We've been inside for dinner for lunch for brunch and we have used their curb service and I've never had a problem it's always been excellent. read more

Great food. Good beer selection. The Boulevard cheese sauce is perfection. Maybe a tad overpriced but when the service and quality are this good you don't mind in the least. read more

Pub W - Bacon cheeseburger on pretzel bun with Blvd cheese sauce. Washed down with Imperial Stout. - Pubs Near Me - Norman, Oklahoma

One of my favorite restaurants in Norman. I can rely on Pub W to always be good and the food is consistently fresh. Anytime I have family in town or am meeting friends, I suggest this place! I love their wedge salad, perfect margarita, chupacabra sandwich, and chili lime wings... oh, and their meatloaf! read more

I've been to Pub W before at lunch but today was first time for dinner. The pretzel burger (add bacon) was very good. Only knock is that it's very messy so I had to finish with fork and get plenty of napkins! Fried are solid as well. read more

They have the best brunch! Best mimosas in town! I love this place! Great for date night!

Ate here last night with a friend. We got the chicken fried steak, carnitas tacos, side of roasted brussels sprouts with balsamic glaze, and chicken casserole. All were delicious except the Brussels sprouts. They were not really roasted well at all. They had zero roasting char on them, were still almost crunchy and tasted like bland, cabbage instead of having a well developed roasted flavor. That was the only disappointment. All in all though, the rest of the food was good and the service staff was really nice. read more

First time visiting this restaurant and enjoyed to choice of spicy shrimp pasta. Good atmosphere and the service was very good.

Impressing all-around if you're looking for an American gastropub experience. Simple menu and attentive staff. The brunch/lunch menu was delectable. They do not skimp out on their portions, which was a very pleasant surprise. Also, very affordable. Very satisfactory on our first visit and we'll most likely return asap. read more

We really like this place! The fish and chips are awesome, love the fried chicken on Sundays, and it's a simple thing, but we really like the sausages in a blanket appetizer with the queso. Just a really great place to eat and gather with friends and family. read more

Pub W used to be one of our fave eateries in Norman, but brunch today was far less than par. The server has no sense of urgency even one of our party didnt receive their food until everyone else was finished eating. We had to ask for things multiple time and even gave up on ever receiving one of the drinks we order and reminded the server about 2x. The food was OK at best. Waffles were over cooked almost burnt, eggs were cold. I understand now why this was the only place in Norman without a wait when we decided to go to brunch last minute. Disappointed for sure! read more

Love the fizzo cocktails. Fried chicken is a delicious! Great family packs to take out for delivery too

I Postmated the chicken and brie sandwich from here and holy cow that thing was amazing.

GREAT place!! Excelllent appetizers!! Excellent dinner!! 2nd time here and received same great service as we did the first time! Luis is fantastic!! read more

Kay... I love food, but this place did not meet my expectations. My husband and I have a lot of friends that kept telling us to try this place and when we did, we were very disappointed. The flavors just weren't there, it was all very bland and or missing something. First time, we went for dinner and had their fried brussel sprouts which i did like and my husband had the chicken tenders which were okay. I had the fish and chips. It was all too greasy and very heavy, lacking seasoning. We thought to ourselves, maybe it's us and we headed that way for brunch one weekend. No. just no. I had their bloody mary and it tasted like it came out of pre-made bottle. My husband had the chicken and waffle, if you are into giant frozen eggo waffles, go for it. I ordered the Migas and again, very underwhelmed. Migas are usually packed with flavor since it's eggs, jalapenos, peppers, onions, and cheese. The ingredients alone should make this dish amazing but it was lacking. Their menu has great selections! Maybe if they tweaked their recipes, it may make a big difference. read more

I've never been so happy to live 2 minutes away from a restaurant! Pub W is my go-to for Sunday brunch, Wine Down Wednesday, and Date Night - you seriously can't go wrong. They serve brunch on Saturdays and Sundays until 2pm with a limited but incredible brunch menu. I hate to pick favorites because it's all so good but I'd have to say the Chicken & Waffles and Huevos Rancheros are mouth-watering goodness. Pair these favorites with the $2 mimosas and you have yourself the perfect Sunday brunch! You can find me here almost every Wednesday evening with my girlfriends for Wine Night! Every Wednesday they offer a different bottle of wine for $15 - it's fun to get to try a variety of wines you might not try otherwise. (Fun Fact: the $15 bottles are limited availability so if they don't sell them all on Wednesday you can ask for the Wine Down Wednesday special Thursday, Friday, and maybe even Saturday if you're lucky!) I have to briefly touch of the Pretzel Burger - it's the best I've had thus far. It comes with butter lettuce, tomato, their famous blvd cheese sauce (ask for this on the side), & a fried egg!! You must order this on your next trip to Pub W - you won't be disappointed! read more

I usually love Pub W but this last experience was horrendous. The blonde woman who I guess was the manager was unbelievably rude. Like I was shocked and could not believe how she was speaking to customers read more

Great service and great meal last night! The new egg nog drink is quite tasty. The avocado toast was perfect!

Fried chicken was amazing! Excellent service. Reasonably priced. My favorite (so far) in Norman.

I am obsessed with pub w. They have the best appetizers and drinks! Such a cool atmosphere to just hang with friends or on a date!

Probably the worst place I've had lunch at in the Norman area. Ordered the chicken casserole and it was beyond bland. Our appetizer (the Ohio nachos) were dry. We asked for salsa to go with them and this salsa was pretty much just as bland as the rest of the food. Service was decent so hey good job servers. But the food just was awful. Sort of sick to think we spent ~50 dollars on a lunch we barely ate. read more

Really nice restaurant and bar that has some upscale touches. Good menu. Little different but not exotic. We like most of the entrees. Give it a try. You will come back for more. read more

My kids, husband and I all love this place! Sometimes we dine in and enjoy a booth, on beautiful days we enjoy the patio and on busy weeknights we love that you can order by phone and they'll bring the food right to your car. The chili-lime chicken salad is the dish I order the most. I also love eating from the appetizer menu (hummus plate, pretzels and squash puppies are soo good) and getting a house side-salad. My husband loves the wings. Another reason we go here a lot is that you get a nice atmosphere, quality and nicely plated food, good service and yet the price point is affordable. They have a wonderful selection of beer, wine, cider and specialty cocktails. Wine down Wednesdays is a great deal. Definitely a must try spot! read more

We come one a week usually, the servers are always polite and they work together so you always have a clean table, full drinks and help if needed. The pretzels and beer cheese are probably the best appetizer. You get 7 pretzels that are hot from the oven. The beer cheese is subtle, not that overwhelming dark malt beer that everyone seems to use but a lighter and crisp beer. My first entree was "The Killer B's". It's a bison burger with blue cheese crumbles and balsamic reduction. It sounded fancy but I was that person that licked my plate and fingers clean. Since then I have ventured out to the Mama's chicken casserole, which is a deconstructed enchilada bowl. And the fish and chips. Two large filets of fish that alone fill someone. They use a batter as a crust instead of the corn meal style but it is a thin crust. So when you get your plate, it's all fish. The interesting turn for this is instead of hush puppies they have squash puppies. Same flavor but the squash is lighter and airy, so they don't dry your mouth out after 2 bites. We come back because it all looks and sounds high class but it's relaxed casual and we never spend over $50 for two of us... read more

The food was excellent. They have a very nice patio area and the waitress we had was awesome. It was pretty chill for a lunch rush and the food came out quickly. Definitely recommend! read more

Only open now for three days and yet a very nice experience. Remodel looks great! Solid beer selection on draft and in bottle. Menu is fairly small but that's fine because I want to eat everything. Pot roast nachos are killer. Healthy portions and good service. Pleased with this brand new spot around the corner from my house, recommended. read more
