The Atomic Dog pizza

- we were in the area and came across this jem. Diverse beer selection and REALLY diverse pizza menu. Pictured is the Atomic Dog which had the perfect amount of seasoning and spices.

Had no idea this place existed. We came here for a friends birthday on Saturday and had a blast! The beer was great, the bartender was super helpful and gave great recommendations, everything was kept super clean, and you can bring pets, food, games, ect. What a great place for some day drinking on a beautiful day.

The hard cider was good and so was my pepperoni pizza. I ended up ordering a second pizza because it was so good.

Five dollars for 12 ounces in a plastic cup? No thanks. IPA is decent. Very small tasting area, no food. Not much else to say.

So relaxing. During the winter, we were there for trivia several times. That was always fun! Now the food and beverage... Their pizza is awesome. Doesn't matter what kind you get, it's delicious. The beer is also wonderful. There is a wide range to choose from, and my boys have liked them all. I've always had good service, and the place is always clean. In addition, it's located right off the Rail Trail in New Freedom. Great place to stop after a walk or a bike ride!

They have something for every palate, and I appreciate that they rotate styles so often. My personal favorites are the Polar Vortex IPA (hoppy, bitter, and seriously bold) and the Coal Car Snickerdoodle Coffee Stout--which is a phenomenal, dark dessert beer that's perfect for the colder months. The taproom is huge and welcoming, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. It's truly family and dog-friendly, which makes it an easy choice for a Saturday afternoon. Pro tip: If you're coming from northern MD, hop on the NCR Trail near the brewery. It's a great spot to hit after a bike ride or a long walk. The team here is friendly, the glassware is always clean, and the atmosphere is relaxed.

Expectations were high, after my sister's go to craft brewery closed down and her husband took to Stone Silo immediately, signing up to be a club member. The building itself did have a stone silo on property that opened up to fields. There was a rustic, farm type feel walking in the front door. Welcomed by stone and dark colored woods, the facility was quite large and clean with ample seating. A glance outside there were fire pits and chairs to sit set, along with an 'adult only' section if you don't like your craft with a crying 2 year old. I sampled a few beer including the IPA, which was a bit underwhelming, but expected since the West Coast is known for quality IPAs. I settled on the Japanese rice lager, 'Nojo with Yuzu.' What a mistake! Not something I could get behind and I like yuzu too. Just too tart for a lager and not what I was looking for in my light beer selection. Second round I tried their Czech style dark lager, Clever Crow. Not sure what about this was supposed to be lager, it really felt more porter-ish to me, did not drink light and just not what I was looking for in a dark lager. The grounds and staff were great, it was a fun place to hang with family, but maybe I just made two poor beer decisions. Expected a bit more from the taps but would be willing to go back and give Stone Silo a second chance, as I know my bro-in-law will want to go back since it's close to the house

Went with the bartenders suggestion of the Rei Rei Sauce (Combination of Mango Habanero Sauce, Thai Chili Sauce and a smoky BBQ Sauce as described by the bartender). Apparently they made it for a regular patron, and it was so good, it made it to the menu. . Wings were "naked" decent size and cooked rather crispy. I'm usually a hot and honey guy, so this was a bit more spicy than my norm, but it wasn't burn my butt off hot. Good mix of flavors in that sauce. Look forward to visiting again and trying the hot and honey. Beer list was also extensive and delicious! -- at Collusion Tap Works Lititz.

You order at the bar and they give you a buzzer when your food is ready to be picked up at the window. My friend was excited because they had bourbon and burgers, which hit the spot for her. She got a black and bleu burger with a side salad and raved about the burger. I opted for a gyro with fries, and a German pilsner. My sandwich was good, but I thought it needed more tomatoes and onions. The fries had a kick and were a very generous sized portion. If I'm ever in the York area again, I'd definitely stop back in.

There is the caveat that I ordered carry-out instead of dining in this time and it was a much more seamless process. I placed my order on their website (which is powered by Toast) and it was ready perfectly in time with my designated pickup time. My order came out ready and hot and all the pizzas and garlic bread came out great. In retrospect, I don't know that I would've ordered the garlic bread because I was expecting more of a garlic breadstick situation instead of a sauceless cheese pizza, but that's more of my own fault for not looking at any pictures first. All in all, it was a much more positive experience and I appreciate the management for working so hard to fix any road bumps in service.

On a recent, cold December evening, a friend and I decided to take a break to grab a quick bite to…read moreeat and agreed on Pub Dog in Columbia. We seated ourselves and the server came over promptly to take our drink orders while we perused the menu. The offerings are simple - a few appetizers, salads, and a wide variety of personal sized pizzas with numerous topping combinations. Our drinks arrived quickly we placed our order. My friend tried one of their craft beer offerings, Black Dog, listed as an Irish Stout, and mentioned it was good, but probably not memorable, lacking a depth and smoothness when compared to the classic Guiness, but drinkable and for a local product it was better than most craft brewery attempts at stout varieties.   We chose to split a Caesar's salad and chose the Spinach Pizza and Dog Pound Pizza for our main course. As we waited, numerous other staff came by to check on us verging on the edge of being annoying. While friendly in their approach, it seemed like a bit of overkill considering we had our drinks and were waiting for our pizzas. The place was less than half full, so they were probably just trying to be attentive and friendly. The salad and Dog Pound Pizza arrived soon after but there was no sign of my Spinach Pizza. If you'd like the salad before the pizza, I'd suggest you let them know in advance. After a few minutes we mentioned it to one of the servers checking on us, they went to check and returned saying it would be another 5 minutes or so - I think they forgot when they put the order into the kitchen.   The salad portion was quite large and was quite good for a Caesar salad and frankly, better than a lot of fancier establishments, plus there was enough for leftovers. We were a little disappointed with the pizzas themselves. The toppings were plentiful, maybe to a fault, and tasty but there was something lacking. For a specialty pizza place I would have expected a better crust - for both pizzas it was a bit soggy and difficult to lift off the plate for a proper bite. We ended up eating with a fork. Heartier appetites would finish the individually sized pizzas, but we had enough to take home for lunch the next day.   The atmosphere is sports bar like; the service prompt, courteous, and maybe a bit over-attentive; the portions and toppings generous; the price is extremely fair - a decent choice if you're in the neighborhood, but not quite a foodie destination establishment unless perhaps you're a beer enthusiast.
