There's two parts to this review, the food and the overall setup/service. The food was good, but it wouldn't bring me back. My clams were tasty and numerous, but one came almost closed and should have been removed prior to being plated. My non-alcoholic drink was also not served with our food and it turns out they don't serve drinks at the front tables, you have to pick them up at the bar. So that starts out the service aspect to it. Due to the wait for the back tables, we opted to sit in the front and ordered at the extremely busy bar. I expected to be offered to close out when we ordered, but wasn't. So we took our flag out front and waited on our food, which was delivered by a waitress. Surprisingly, no bill was delivered then either. So I went inside to check on my drink that never showed up and close out. I have to be honest that the additional hassle of not being offered a check and having to run everything through an extremely busy bar is what dropped my review a star. Maybe it's a Seattle thing that my non-alcoholic drink can't be served with our food and I have to come back in and deal with a crowded bar full of other patrons to ask again that my drink be made and pay, but I'm just not interested in the back and forth required to eat here. Came in to grab some drinks during the hot Friday afternoon. It looked pretty busy when we came in around 4:45PM. It was about a five minute wait if you were planning on dinning in. However, since we did not plan on ordering any food, we got seated right away near the bar. Ordered three cocktails and a draft beer: Lavender Lemonade, Spicy Fresh Margarita, Boozy Thai Tea, and a Mannys Pale Ale. The drinks were strong, but still tasty! I was definitely surprised by the spicy level from the Spicy Fresh Margarita. It wasn't overwhelming, but you could definitely feel the spice trickling down your throat. Worst restaurant service I've experienced in a long time, not sure if they're super understaffed or what. Waited around 40 min to order our food, we witnessed other patrons around us experiencing similar service. Same deal after we finished eating, had to wait 20 more minutes after eating to get the check. The crab cakes are definitely not worth it, way too salty and not good in terms of flavor. My $9 salad didn't have dressing & only had 2 radishes & a sliver of cucumber. Our server didn't come by our table, & I wasn't in the mood to walk to the bar & ask for a new salad. The kitchen staff was not wearing gloves, hair nets, or masks. A neighboring table spilled a drink, & our server walked right by it like he didn't hear or see it happen. First off, the location at Pier 70 is fantastic. Right near a lot of parking spots, so it's incredibly easy to access, and it's out the outskirts of the madness near the Ferris Wheel. We had reservations for 5 at 6 pm and were sat fairly quickly! Anthony was our server and the dress code for the employees was clearly casual, but that's what I enjoy the most with a family evening out, as it feels like you get to connect to the personality and not just the professionalism of an individual. Our order consisted of 3 Birria Tacos, Mac n Cheese, and Chicken Strips with Fries. For the drinks we got 2 Shirley Temples, a Lemonade with Grenadine, a Sprite, and a Manny's. THE BIRRIA TACOS OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!! We had eaten at another place the evening prior and had the same thing, but Pub 70 delivered what seems to be an UNMATCHED version of the dish. The sauces were SPOT ON for flavor and jothing overpowered anything else. All the veggies tasted fresh, the onions were firm, the cilantro potent, and the taste exquisite. 3 of us who ordered the Birria tacos were absolutely mesmerized by the equal taste of greatness with the dishes! I HIGHLY recommend the Birria tacos from Pub 70! Anthony, our server, did an absolutely amazing job at checking in on us every few minutes to refill drinks, and we never were left without a refill for what felt like seconds. He was so on top of the service so I had to tip him properly to reflect the exemplary service! My daughter and youngest son that had the mac n cheese and chicken strips said they really liked their meals as well! I highly recommend Pub 70 for any party type and quantity, they are extremely friendly for the wait staff and if you get Anthony, your experience is going to be absolutely phenomenal! This local gem is located near the pier 70 building. Went their with a few colleagues - the place doesn't have a big list of veg items on their menu but the options they have are good! The service was a little slow during the lunch time but the portion size is huge!!! I have tried the veggie burger, garlic fries and Burrata (which basically sums the veg items in the menu ) My favorite was Burrata that came with a soft ball of yummy Burrata cheese, peaches and some lettuce. It looked and tasted great!! The veggie burger was huge, the patty was a rice, bean based but it was a little sweet for my taste buds The garlic fries weee garlicky - good flavor but could have been more in the crispier side All in all a good place (4/5) for hanging out with friends for lunch. I have been here a few times now, mostly with colleagues for happy hour. I love the outdoor seating, in good weather it's one of the best spots to be eating in Seattle. We have had Chilaquile-style Nachos, Wings, Garlic Fries, and Blackened Fish Tacos. We have enjoyed everything we have tried, with the Chilaquile-style Nachos being a favorite. It's really about the service. Showed up to watch the Browns - Texans playoff game with family members and they wouldn't show the game with sound. Really? It's a bar. They at least gave us the closed captioning and maybe there was something with the audio system that they couldn't play the sound from the TVs. The drinks were fine and one of our group got the fish tacos, which he said were solid. My biggest complaint was the staff. It felt like we were inconveniencing them by being there, like they did not want/need our patronage. We were the only ones in the bar so you'd think they'd be happy to see us spending money on drinks and food. But the consensus from the group was that we felt unwelcome and that we were a burden. We were staying close by and found this little Pub on Pier 70. A large bar and restaurant. We enjoyed cocktails and ordered fish tacos and a Rueben. Both were really good. Our server was responsive and provided great customer service. We ordered vodka sodas and they were different every time we received them. The food was mediocre, yet priced like fine dining. Our group was split into two tables since they couldn't seat us all together, which we were fine with. I specifically asked for a separate tab for our table before ordering, and they agreed. However, when the bill came, both tables were charged a 22% automatic gratuity because our total party was over six--even though we were split and ordered separately. When I contested the charges, the staff said that since we arrived together and the orders were sent to the kitchen at the same time, we were considered a single group. This felt misleading, especially since I requested separate checks in advance to avoid this very situation. Between the inconsistent service policy and the overpriced, average food, I can't say this place is worth the cost. There are better options out there for the same--or even less--money. read more

You walk in and there is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. With the rain coming down I got a seat by the window and was quickly served the following items - Mezcal Margarita - amazing! Tons of flavors - Spicy Chicken Sandwich - amazing bun and tons of flavor! And for the grand finale - Clam Chowder Soup - stop talking and take all of my money! After a wonderful meal at Pub 70, I went back and had a very different experience. The first time the food was wonderful, sweet potato tacos, the drink was excellent, something involving blackberries, and the service exceptional and friendly. On the second visit the food and service were both indifferent. I suspect that almond flour or "four" as the menu puts it, does not belong in a veggie burger. Or perhaps mine was undercooked or over-hydrated. It was weirdly squidgy. Not a pleasant texture. it was challenging to get either water or the check. Or to get the check paid. My server could not have cared less if I lived or died at his table. This restaurant may depend upon the day you're there. I'm not sure I'll try it again. read more

This ruined our entire vacation :( Yesterday we were taking a quick tour of the Seattle waterfront before starting our trip, and stopped by Pub70 for lunch. Despite being sunny out, it was dark and hazy inside with some musky smell -- that should have been a clue. After being seated we waited 45 minutes (!) for our order to be taken. After that the food arrived quickly... too quickly for it to have been made after our order... so it wasn't surprising that the burgers arrived lukewarm, as if they'd been sitting out. I don't know why we still ate them, if I could go back in time... All four of us had horrible bloating, then vomiting, and then diarrhea last night. I've eaten many Rueben's in my life, and this was quite possibly the best one I've ever had. The meat was thick sliced and so juicy! We weren't sure what to expect, especially given that the service was a bit slow. That said, I'm sure they were short staffed and doing their best. They were as friendly as could be. The handhelds don't come with a side, but I do recommend paring it with the garlic fries. Adding to one plate and sharing between two people, it proved to be more than enough. The fries were absolutely covered in garlic. The garlic was not too strong though, and they were seriously so good!
