I still had doubts on my upstairs unit which was struggling to get to its desired temperature. Then the downstairs unit outdoor fan stopped working. I went with Eagar for the diagnosis and they came by same day and diagnosed a common capacitor replacement issue. Replaced capacitor and downstairs unit started working as expected. Great! The technician was also willing to do a quick basic check on my upstairs unit and turns out it was low on refrigerant. 2 lbs and some UV dye/sealant later my upstairs system now can match the set temperature for a change, and I didn't have to break anywhere close to 4 or 5 digit pricing. The pricing seems fair to me. They don't offer those $30 tuneup prices but they also don't beeline to pressuring your into a new HVAC unit either or suggesting services which seem dubious and with exorbitant pricing. Makes it hard to trust. Instead Eagar charges a reasonably regular price but also gives your unit a fair, honest assessment, which ultimately is what I want, with units that are 18 and 12 years old! Chris recommend new, larger Amana units that would be much more energy efficient, saving us money, and helping to better heat and cool our home. So far they are working great! I've known Chris for several years now. This is the second time he's done a new installation for us. About five years ago he installed a new Tempstar furnace in our town house. We had a very old furnace at the time and the new Tempstar was a much needed upgrade. Chris also helped us qualify for the Utah Home Performance Plan, a state run program at the time, that saved us a lot of money on the new furnace. Chris is professional, dependable, and fairly priced. I appreciate that he takes the time to answer all of my many questions and educate me on different options and technology. Chris has also done work for many of my friends and neighbors. If you're looking for a great HVAC company for heating and air conditioning, I would definitely recommend Eagar Heating and Cooling. Fast forward to June of 2022 it started leaking again and was unnoticed. As a result we had mold under our carpet, walls and baseboards and had to rip it all out. After we had it repaired by another company we discovered that the clamps on either side of the patch were not secured resulting in its failure. This was a complete nightmare and ended up costing me a substantial amount of money. I regret that I used them and would urge you to exercise caution!

Our AC struggled from the first summer, but this year it became much worse. Our home was regularly 78-82 degrees, even with the AC running constantly, and we eventually had to move our mattress downstairs in the living room just to try and sleep. Method installed the HVAC system. After being told the warranty had expired, I had another HVAC company take a look. Their technician identified what was an obvious installation/workmanship issue and evidence that the refrigerant had leaked out. He recommended I contact the original installer before paying for an expensive repair because the issue was so clearly a mistake on their end. He mentioned that his company always honors that kind of work even outside of warranty. I contacted Method, explained the situation, and was told management (Cody) would call me back. After multiple service request follow ups, and more than two weeks, that call never happened. I eventually received another call from the front desk reiterating that the warranty had expired. Never the communication from Cody I was told to expect. I understand warranties have limits, but I expected a company to at least investigate a potential workmanship issue and follow through on a promised callback. If this was my business, I would feel importance in at least investigating an issue if it may have been our poor skills causing the issue. Method may be great in other areas, but that is not the experience we had. We are now facing a significant repair bill on a two year old home, as a result of their poor workmanship and lack of accountability. If accountability, communication, and standing behind your work matter to you, I would encourage you to ask some questions before choosing them.

My daughter and I purchased a home a little over a year ago and only have about 7 months left of a warranty for parts on our furnace. The furnace is only 4 years old, however we are not the original owners who had the home built in 2022 which is why the warranty is almost over. Our furnace started making a horrible noise and then all of a sudden it stopped. We called another company to come out and look at it. They told us that the blower motor cage had cracked due to faulty manufacturing and the blower motor basically fell off and broke. After getting a list of authorized service/warranty providers from the manufacturer, we called CTR heating and air. They worked with us and the manufacturer to try to process a claim on the warranty but it was a nightmare! We were getting no help from the manufacturer and we were stuck. We finally got it resolved, after about 2.5 weeks, and ended up having to go through the initial installer when the home was built. Here is where the review gets good! Even though we actually didn't end up going through CTR, their constant communication, repeated attempts to resolve with the manufacturer and their daily updates/ communication with me was outstanding! Never once did I have to reach out to them for an update. They always contacted me first! When we communicated, it was always extremely professional and very customer service centered. They provided much needed recommendations for the future and were very patient with us and the situation, and never got frustrated even though it was taking so long. Even after all the work they put in for us, when we advised them that we were going to have to go through the original installer, they STILL remained professional and wished us well, hoping that everything would work out on our favor! What an amazing and incredible company! I'm only allowed to give 5 stars, but if I could, I would absolutely give them at 10! Would 100% recommend CTR as they are friendly, helpful, professional, and honest!!

My husband was in commercial construction for 35 years running jobs and was very impressed with Scott. I can count on one hand the contractors he's dealt with over the years that he has said impressed him. We had been told by the quarterly service company we use that during an inspection of our furnace that our heat exchanger was cracked and the furnace needed to be replaced. The quote we received from them to replace the furnace was outrageous and we knew it as I had already done research on expected cost to replace a furnace with the brand they had recommended. So I started looking for another HVAC contractor and I found Mr. Good Guy, read reviews on his site and asked for a call. He called promptly and we asked if he would come out to give us a second opinion. Well, it was cracked and we asked Scott for a quote for a replacement. He was $2,000 less than the other company and had it at our house to install two days later. He did an excellent job on the installation so much so that my husband, who is NOT easily impressed, said he did an excellent job. Super meticulous on all the pieces needed for the installation. Connected up our UV light system, humidifier and AC to the new furnace perfectly and installed a new zone controller in our master.
