From the moment Dan arrived, he was so knowledgeable, and explained everything as he went. I learned so much, and there were more issues than I had suspected. Despite that, Dan didn't try to charge me for anything that wasn't needed. I did need a new controller, which was obvious upon seeing it, but that was only $60 (not $300+ as others may try to charge) and the other issues were simply how the logs were placed, latches not being properly attached, etc. I also feel very reassured to know their service is guaranteed for 1 year (not including parts). I highly recommend Hearth & Home to anyone needing service - they are the best!

Before a lot of the details were available we had them give us a bid because they were on the approved list of installers. They came and measured and then emailed me a bid for roughly $3,400 per fireplace, the next day they called and said that the bid was no longer valid because the program is charging them so much to participate. Our price went up to about $4,100 per fireplace. We called the program and another installer and they both confirmed that they aren't charging anything for people or companies to use the program or get the rebate. They are upping the prices because people are getting the rebate and they can make money. They did the exact same thing to two other people we know. If you need a dealer in Utah County go to Maple Mountain Fireplaces in Springville, they are very honest and have a great product and they are on the approved list!

Funny story I actually paid two different companies to come out for the same job thinking it was the same company. (I forgot to cancel air express because I was able to find someone to come sooner.) I paid another guy to come out on Easter Sunday to just say yep it's broke here is some space heaters. Then Air Express came out actually took it apart and fixed it for me and gave me great feedback let me know where some concerns were that the other guy never said. I am able to replace the furnace later on giving me enough time to take advantage of this opportunity to change my ductwork before replacing the furnace so I can have it in a different location. I feel like we prepare for rainy days and this technician is helping me knock two birds with one stone by not leading me down the rip off path the other company did to me twice now.
