Terrible. Would not recommend to my worst enemy. Spent more time on his phone instead of the task at hand.

Stay away! I wish I read all these 1 star reviews before I called them. Total…read morepredatory/overbilling, lying company. One of our AC units was struggling to keep up with the 100+ degree temps. Unit kept kicking on and off and would only cool down to 81 degrees in the house. I worked for an AC manufacturer for a year, right out of college. The basics haven't changed. I figured it was 1 of 2 things, either a bad capacitor or low on freon. Turns out it was both. Capacitor wasn't completely shot, but getting there. I asked up front how much a freon top off would be. $379.00. Steep, but I can't do it myself because you need a license to even buy freon. The capacitor is $8.99 on Amazon for the exact same part/brand. I'm sure they buy it cheaper. Tech (I gave him $20.00 cash, up front to not rip me off) told me it was $80.00 to replace the capacitor. Takes less than 3 minutes to walk to the truck and back to get the part and 20 seconds to plug it in. Again, I could do it myself, but he was here, so I let him. Bill should've been $461. Nope. Chris charged me $638.00. The discrepancy? They charge you for another $200.00 service call to replace the capacitor!!! Even though the tech is here! Total rip off. So, to recap if you call them and they come out and add freon and leave, it's 379.00. If you call them the next day and a guy comes out to replace the capacitor and leaves, it's $280.00. But crooked Any Hour charges you for two services calls to do different things when they only came out once. I'm betting that if it needed something else it would be the cost of the part, the time to replace it AND ANOTHER $200.00 service call. AND they don't give you a invoice broken down between parts, labor, jobs, etc. Only 1 total invoice with a fat charge. I tried to cancel my credit card charge, but they run it immediately. A sure sign that their ripoff business model is purposeful. Tell everyone to stay away from this corrupt company.

I just got finished a few weeks before…read morewith a routine tune up from another HVAC company who told me both of my AC units were working great. I still had doubts on my upstairs unit which was struggling to get to its desired temperature. Then the downstairs unit outdoor fan stopped working. I went with Eagar for the diagnosis and they came by same day and diagnosed a common capacitor replacement issue. Replaced capacitor and downstairs unit started working as expected. Great! The technician was also willing to do a quick basic check on my upstairs unit and turns out it was low on refrigerant. 2 lbs and some UV dye/sealant later my upstairs system now can match the set temperature for a change, and I didn't have to break anywhere close to 4 or 5 digit pricing. The pricing seems fair to me. They don't offer those $30 tuneup prices but they also don't beeline to pressuring your into a new HVAC unit either or suggesting services which seem dubious and with exorbitant pricing. Makes it hard to trust. Instead Eagar charges a reasonably regular price but also gives your unit a fair, honest assessment, which ultimately is what I want, with units that are 18 and 12 years old! This is my new HVAC company.

Chris recommend new, larger Amana units that would be much more energy efficient, saving us money, and helping to better heat and cool our home. So far they are working great! I've known Chris for several years now. This is the second time he's done a new installation for us. About five years ago he installed a new Tempstar furnace in our town house. We had a very old furnace at the time and the new Tempstar was a much needed upgrade. Chris also helped us qualify for the Utah Home Performance Plan, a state run program at the time, that saved us a lot of money on the new furnace. Chris is professional, dependable, and fairly priced. I appreciate that he takes the time to answer all of my many questions and educate me on different options and technology. Chris has also done work for many of my friends and neighbors. If you're looking for a great HVAC company for heating and air conditioning, I would definitely recommend Eagar Heating and Cooling. Thanks Chris!
