Disappointing bagel shop. My friend and I stopped here to pick up a bagel on our way to the beach and while the menu looked promising with the options, the bagel itself did not hit the spot. I got a bacon, egg, and cheese on a spinach bagel and the contents were lacking. The bagel was not well toasted and just not a good bagel in and of itself. The service was quick and the worker was nice. However, I won't be returning and will probably look elsewhere for any bagel needs.

Service was good and fast, the bagel was delicious and the coffee was good. Nice indoor seating area, and everyone working there was very nice.

Very impressed by the egg sandwich I got. With my RI Food Fights coupon, I ordered their spicy sunrise egg sandwich on a sesame bagel. I loved the combination of sausage, a hash brown patty with some hot honey. Was a good size too, normally $8 . Service and staff was very friendly.

sesame bagel with Garden Vegetable Cream Cheese + spicy sunrise on asiago bagel

my boyfriend and I are visiting providence from boston and wanted to try some local spots and found this close to our hotel. I got the sesame bagel with garden veggie cream cheese which was phenomenal and 10/10 perfect ratio of cream cheese to bagel. some bagel places smear on an inch thick layer of cream cheese and that's just nauseating. this was perfect bf got a spicy sunrise which he rates an 8/10 he said it could've had more hot honey and it was a tad dry (but he skipped the cheese that comes w it so maybe it was that) delicious and i'm happy to see gluten free options on the menu. ambiance is cute and cozy and their playlist had bangers, nothing to complain about xoxo

My last visit during the mid morning was using the drive thru. The line was a bit long and I think it took longer that if I would had parked and walked inside, but I wanted to check out that experience. They have a nice full menu right in front of the speaker/microphone. A nice lady on the other end, asked me what I wanted, I ordered an asiago bagel, but I was informed that they were out...it was only about 10:30 am.....anyway......I asked for a garlic bagel and shortly after I was at the pick up window getting my garlic bagel and bacon/scallion cream cheese. The bagel was delicious, it had a nice strong garlic smell without being overwhelming. The cream cheese was nice, not too strong of a bacon taste, but I think I still like the jalapeño one the best. Great selection, great service.

Their "bagels" lack the moisture, chew, and crust of real bagels. There is something amiss with their bagel preparation process.

Ask the Community - Providence Bagel

    Do they have pork roll?

    Yess they do

What is the vegan cream cheese made out of?

It tastes like tofu to me

Are the bagels gluten free ? I was told they were but not sure?

I do not know of any gluten free options there as of yet. They are not advertised as such.

Do you have regular ice coffees or just cold brews? Whenever I order a "medium ice coffee" I always get charged a cold brew which is expensive. This has happened on 3 separate occasions. Thank you!

Great question! We only have cold brew. Our cold brew is a little more expensive than regular iced coffee because it is a 24 hour process to make it and uses very high quality organic beans.

I had a last minute invite this morning to join a friend's reservation. I have heard great things…read moreabout this place but hadn't had the opportunity to visit yet. So it was an easy yes, to say the least! When I arrived, I walked around the corner to the entrance on Rochambeau. The waiting area inside is bright, colorful, decorated with some personal tokens, assorted cookbooks and accolades. You can just see into the kitchen and suddenly the chef and owner, Milena Pagán will appear over the cafe style doors to greet you and get you checked in for your reservation. Highly recommend a reservation if you plan to come on the weekend. The place was busy! We were taken to our spots at the bar and greeted by Milena's partner, Darcy. He took care of us from start to finish. I could not resist the brunch prie fixe menu for $45. What a steal. An entree, house made pastry, juice/coffee/tea and one of the house cocktails. I chose the shakshouka, a cardamom knot, the guava-pineapple fizz and the rebujito. I also added an iced horchata latte because I was at brunch after all! We had our drinks and pastries in front of us quickly. My juice was refreshing, tangy and just a hint of sweetness. I love guava and this was exactly what I wanted. The latte was simple but effective, hitting the spiced notes you want from horchata with the depth of good espresso to back it up. The latte in particular was delicious with the cardamom knot, the two harmonizing together for a moment of heaven on this rainy Sunday afternoon. The outside of the knot was caramelized in spots adding this great crunch and the inside was soft like a cinnamon bun. My friend mentioned it was one of her favorites and I can see why! When the shakshouka came out, the smell hit me first. Warm tomatoes, the herbs from the chimichurri, and the tostones fresh from the pan. The presentation is beautiful, inviting you to dig in immediately. I of course opted for the smashed avocado upgrade and they thoughtfully plated it on the side. I like to taste everyone together so I added it to my skillet, and began eating the dish using my tostones as my utensil. It was amazing. All those smells I mentioned before played through beautifully in the tasting. It was one of the best dishes I've ever had. My only wish was for more tostones but I know if I had asked for an additional side, they had that as an option to take. I'll make sure to do that next time! The rebujito cocktail was something I hadn't tried before so I was looking forward to it. It felt like the kind of drink you have on a hot summer day. Similar to a mojito, but with good sherry as the base alcohol instead of rum. As a side note, I think it's an incredibly clever to create a cocktail menu around sherry when you have a beer and wine license. Using a fortified wine? Brilliant. But after my experience here today, I know that brilliance is in every brick of that space. If you were like me and haven't made the trip to this spot on the corner of Hope and Rochambeau, please fix that ASAP! I can't wait to go back, and bring all my friends and family here so they can share in what I enjoyed today. Just an incredible meal and service.

However we did end up finishing within the hour - I'm not totally sure how strict they are about that rule. They also have the kitchen right where you wait to get seated, which just added to the hunger and anticipation

Loved the atmosphere and the place was spotless. One of the waitresses seated us asked us if we'd like a drink and pickles with coleslaw. We said yes pickles were great. Coleslaw was very vinegary. Was not a fan of that. We both ordered half a pound of pastrami sandwiches with Swiss cheese and mustard. The pastrami was very lean and sliced very thin and that was good. But I found the pastrami lacking in flavor. I think I was expecting pastrami like they sell at Katz's deli or the old now closed Carnegie's in New York. Would come back to try other things.

To be clear, the food isn't bad. It's perfectly edible. The problem is that it's also remarkably average, especially considering the prices they're charging. Nothing I've ordered has made me think, "I can't wait to come back for that." It's just...fine. We actually visited during opening weekend, and it was a bit of a mess. They ran out of pastrami, which is a pretty big problem for a deli that was generating so much excitement. I gave them the benefit of the doubt because opening weekends can be chaotic. Since then, we've been back several times hoping things would improve, but the experience has been largely the same. The biggest issue, aside from the food being average, is the service. It's consistently slow. I can understand waiting when a restaurant is packed, but we've experienced long waits even when there were very few customers inside. It feels like everything moves at half speed, and that's been true on multiple visits. I also think they're trying a little too hard to be Katz's Delicatessen. That's an incredibly high bar, and instead of trying to recreate that experience, I'd rather see them focus on becoming the best version of themselves. Right now, it feels like the ambition exceeds the execution. The one thing I will gladly compliment is the bagels. They've been excellent every time we've ordered them, and honestly, they're probably the strongest item on the menu. I do think there's plenty of room for improvement, which is why I'm giving two stars instead of one. There's clearly potential here, and I genuinely hope they find their footing because I'd love to have another great deli in the area. We'll probably give them another chance down the road, and I hope I can come back and update this review with a much more positive experience.

The first time I came, it was a rainy weekday and this time it was a sunny weekend, so I was expecting an even larger crowd; and my prediction was correct. The line was just out the door but because of their awesome staff, the line was moving very quickly. While we waited in line, we could watch them making pastries through the glass, a couple feet in front of us. I admired that level of transparency. When we were third in line, the kindest lady asked us whether we'd be eating in or taking out and she took down our name to help us find a table when it came time. She did the same for the rest of the people in line. She also gave us some recommendations, including the cinnamon bun - apparently they're so good kids cry when they sell out. I didn't intend to order anything with my drink, but I couldn't get the cinnamon bun out of my head so I ordered it along with my iced spiced chai latte. The hen (I think it's their logo) on the aprons of the employees are super cute. We did secure a table. The tables are close together to maximize the number of people who can sit down but I didn't mind. I love their art all around, mostly of birds which I am obsessed with. I love that they have a lot of natural lighting coming through their tall windows. I also like the navy blue and white theme they have going on. The chai latte was perfect. It was the right color (a dark tan), meaning the ratio of tea and milk was good and I could taste a lot of the spices. The cinnamon bun blew my expectations away. The second my teeth made. contact with the icing, it was a magical feeling. I couldn't quite put my finger on what it tasted like, but the closest I got was dulce de leche. It is truly unlike any other cinnamon bun I have ever had. The dough is soft and there is a good amount of cinnamon. It's also $4 which is not bad. I had a bite of their canelé, which apparently requires a lot of work to make. It was very moist, with a great caramelized finish. I am super excited to try their new weekend dinner menu, but also more of their all day menu items.

It feels like her place in the best way -- warm, proud, hands-on. Pastries are legit. Super buttery, flaky enough to make a mess, clearly baked that morning. No sad, sitting-around-all-day vibes. Ordered the breakfast sandwich and that tomato jam needs to be illegal. Sweet, savory, slightly tangy -- it completely makes the sandwich. I kept trying to figure out how to recreate it at home. Not happening. Crispy chicken sandwich was properly seasoned and not dried out (why is that so hard for some places?). Fries were solid too -- crispy, not limp. And the kale salad with roasted chickpeas and chicken made me feel like I had my life together. Fresh, simple, and actually satisfying. It's one of those places you stumble into while traveling and then immediately start googling whether you can justify going back the next day.

They have a huge selection of flavors, and every time we go in I end up standing there longer than I planned because there are so many tempting choices. It's the kind of problem every ice cream shop should have. The ice cream itself is outstanding. It's fresh, creamy, and packed with flavor without feeling overly heavy. Every flavor we've tried has been excellent, and it's easy to see why this place has developed such a loyal following. In my opinion, it's the best ice cream on the East Side. Just be prepared to wait if you're stopping by on a nice evening. The shop is fairly small inside, and it's not uncommon for the line to stretch right out the front door. Thankfully, the staff keeps things moving, and the wait has always been worth it. The prices are reasonable, especially considering the quality of the ice cream and the generous portions. Parking can be a little hit or miss since it's mostly street parking, although there are a handful of spaces behind the building. Somehow we've been lucky the last few visits and managed to grab a spot right out front, even when there was a long line. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is because the small space and limited parking can make visiting during peak hours a little less convenient. Once you have your ice cream, though, it's hard to complain. If you're looking for fantastic homemade ice cream in Providence, Three Sisters absolutely deserves a visit.
