Coffee
Taylor S.

I really like their coffee and appreciate that they don't charge extra for non dairy milk. Mobile ordering on the app is so easy too. Obviously all of their breads are delicious. I wish they had a better vegan sandwich option, the white bean sandwich they occasionally have in the summer is delicious. The baguette with the sweet potato is a sad excuse for a sandwich. Pastries are good but they should really try to come out with some new options.

Disappointed they changed the coffee. Different bean, less flavor, sad. Loyalty challenged.

Casual counter service with dine-in or takeout options (they serve on ceramic plates if you stay). Bonus points for the patio and the local Wright's Dairy Farm milk. They provide bus bins to leave your used plates in afterwards. This location is on Hope street off and is usual busy with runner, bikers , and people running errands. It's a bit nosy from the hustle but it still offers a cozy place to stop and take the day in . We stopped in for a quick lunch. We both got caramel lattes one iced with milk and one hot with oat milk. My iced latte was smooth and I did ask for light syrup. The turkey sandwich was cut in half for us and came stacked with meat. The buffalo black pepper turkey was flavorful without that lingering deli taste, and the crispy bacon was a nice bonus. The bread was soft and fresh. We also tried the ham and cheese quiche, which had plenty of bite-sized ham pieces and was warmed up nicely for dine-in. The cheese danish was flaky and not overly sweet -- just right. It was the perfect way to ease into the afternoon before running errands and heading to work.

Seven Stars is everything I want it to be but to be a best kept secret. I am happy they thrive but I wish it was a quieter atmosphere. It's very loud not only from the froth and steamer, but lots of hustle and bustle of people coming and going. I wanted a little date with my 4 year old little guy but he was so taken by all the movement and noise, our date ended abruptly and I can't blame him for suggesting we leave. We were there long enough to circle for a parking spot (only about 6 on site.) Long enough to stand in line for 4 minutes. Long enough to eat a cheese Danish. Long enough that we took my iced matcha and his Wrights strawberry milk on the go. The danish was ok. I do wish there was more cheese or more croissant like crust. My iced matcha was very green and icey but one sugar didn't hit the sweet spot (and I refused to add anymore!) I love that Wrights dairy is a supplier. Cute heart shaped cookies gearing up for Valentines day. It's where the east side gets their fix, I get it.

outdoor seating

My favorite Seven Stars! They have a nicely landscaped outdoor seating area that provides shade and group seating. Friendly, efficient service and great coffee! A great spot for an informal business meeting or catch up with friends. It's always busy so be prepared to wait a bit for your order. Their bread is delicious too, so take a loaf home. Pro-tip: you get a free loaf each year for your birthday.

Noisy but charming outdoor space next to Seven Stars. Tip: pick up a loaf of bread or baguette

Seven Stars is a busy, active (Hope Street) well-run "must" stop for us on any visit to Providence. Their breads are top notch (we always bring a loaf or two home), pastries delicious, coffee never disappoints. Prepare to circle for parking or walk a block or two, and wait on line, especially on the weekend. We always find the staff professional and efficient. The location is clean, the business is clearly run by people who take pride in their work. They now have a few locations in the Providence area. Hope St is our go-to but I bet the quality will hold up at any of them. Recommend!!

Vermont cheddar cheese bread and guac

This was a really, really good cafe/bakery. I loved the vibe, the food, the location-pretty much everything about it. We ordered the chocolate almond croissant, Vermont cheddar cheese bread, and guac. The chocolate almond croissant was honestly one of the best I've ever had. It was loaded with almond, had just the right amount of chocolate for sweetness, and I absolutely loved it. The bread was good too, and the avocado was great on perfectly tangy and didn't need any extra spices. We also got a cappuccino (decent, though the coffee was a bit sour) and a mocha, which was great. The service was good, line moves fast you don't have to wait too long. Overall, such a good spot. Definitely try their chocolate almond croissant- you won't regret it.

Came here today to get a loaf of their cheddar bread and the staff was the most welcoming and nice I could have found at any bakery. Always a smile in their faces and a very helpful demeanor. The bread was delicious and fresh. Great bakery and pastry shop.

Cheese danish
Jessica P.

Dropped in for a quick to go order and got a matcha latte and cheese danish. When I got home I was surprised it was a plain cheese danish since when I ordered the cheese danish sign was in front of some with fruit in the center so I was a little disappointed. Other than that the matcha was tasty as was the danish, just not what I thought I had ordered.

Sweet potato sandwich London fog latte
Jamie A.

Don't even know where to begin, but this place is my morning cafe spot! The sweet potato sandwich is my favorite, but I'm not a fan of onions, so I always pick them off since they come prepackaged. Staff is always kind and remind me of their reward system, which is free! It gives you a birthday loaf and points that can be used for future purchases! Location is always clean. I notice that whenever someone leaves their table, there's a staff ready to wipe down the tables, preparing for whoever is looking for a seat to enjoy their bakery goods~ it is always busy, but never an issue on finding seating when I come around. Parking is a bit tricky since the parking lot is tight and limited.

Conveniently, there is a 2 hour free parking garage to the right of the building which is where we parked, but there is also street parking. Downtown Pawtucket is sadly almost abandoned, but businesses like these give me hope that it can make a comeback. When we walked in, we saw signs pointing downstairs for Dissent, which helped us a lot to locate it. The actual store is small, with only 1-2 chairs in the corner and some high chairs along the counter, but there are also about 4-5 tables and chairs in the common area. The menu is perfect not too long, but lots of appealing and unique options with cool names. I ordered the pistachio 2.0 latte which has espresso, peruvian cacao + maple syrup, and pistachio milk. My mom ordered the masala chai. Both were ready in about 10 minutes. Like most coffee shops, they make the coffee right in front of you, which instills a lot of confidence. The pistachio latte had a very nice color and was very rich, creamy, slightly nutty, with a hint of mocha flavor which might've been the coffee. It reminded me of a liquid form of dubai chocolate but not nearly as sweet. The masal chai was also creamy and you could taste the spices. It's a very nice place to study, read, or hang out with friends.

It's amazing that they have 15-20+ single origin selections available at any given time for a cup. I had been wanting to try this place for the longest but since it is a cute little truck that travels around the state, I hadn't had the opportunity to organically come across it - until this moment. Although a lot of their drink options sounded delicious, I went with the iced Maria Maria. I got the opportunity to chat a bit with one of the Marias and she was very kind, along with the other two team members. The prices are average, with my drink coming out to about $6. One disclaimer is that I don't drink coffee much, so I can't speak about the quality of the coffee taste but overall I loved the drink, mostly because it wasn't too strong or sweet but did have a very creamy taste. In addition, they do add a Maria cookie, which is very nostalgic for me. Although the line was very long, they were very efficient with just 3 people and do get our orders at a timely manner. I am looking forward to the next time I see them again to try more of their stuff. They do post their schedule of where they will be on their instagram page at the start of each week.

They post their schedule for the week on instagram on Mondays. I visited the mobile horse trailer or cart on Tuesday, 8/12/25, at Miriam Hospital on the corner of 7th Ave and Summit Ave in Providence, RI. There is street parking available. At 6:30am, they helped their first customer. I was probably about tenth in line. I ordered the coco-quipe latte from their summer menu. This late is infused with rich arequipe and creamy coconut. It is blended with 2% milk (they didn't have whole milk) and crowned with a fluffy vanilla cold foam and a sprinkle of shredded coconut. Unfortunately, I was expecting the arequipe and coconut flavors to be stronger and I do not think I got shredded coconut on top of it. As I drank more of the latte, it did taste better. The staff members were very friendly and talking to all the customers. It didn't take long for my drink to be ready. I'm glad I had the opportunity to try Maria Maria Coffee Bar.

The space is cozy and welcoming, with a simple and very comfortable vibe. It's decorated nicely, with pink (not Barbie pink!) walls, some flowery touches in a few of the pictures, a leafy wall, and the cheery blackboard listing some of the special lattes, benedicts, and juices. The owner, Heather, waited on us and so we were able to get a bit of the story about how she decided to open Cafe Amore. She's been working in restaurants since high school, and always had a vision of owning her own place. Upon hearing that this corner spot was vacant, she picked a name (essentially "cafe love" since opening a restaurant IS a labor of love. The name selected means love, "Amor" for the Spanish speaking folks who were originally going to be partners but who eventually backed out, and Amore for her own Italian heritage), retrofitted the space, set the menu, and jumped in. We came in on only day 68 since opening, but we couldn't tell since everything was so well managed. Apparently, Heather does not sleep: she freshly squeezes the juices served, bakes the sourdough bread that's on the menu, and usually makes fresh muffins in different flavors every week. She's testing recipes for a house-made sourdough English muffin and planning to start growing the microgreens that top every omelet. Oh, she also makes different varieties of beads that are sold as whole loaves on a first come first serve basis on the weekends, and makes her own jelly for sale - and occasionally serves some in the cafe, if she has an available open jar. The coffee here is excellent, and comes in a regular sized mug (not the usual small diner-type serving). Our cups were refilled almost as soon as we emptied them. Along the sunny front window there is a cart full of different complementary syrups to add flavor as desired, but the coffee didn't need them for me. I had the yummy Farmers Omelet with spinach, mushrooms, peppers, onions inside and feta and avocado on top (and those delicate microgreens as garnish) - and some of that absolutely fabulous house-made sourdough that came grilled to perfection. My husband had the "make your own" and went with a simple cheese omelet. He said it was good, but next time he's going to order it with two cheeses instead of the basic cheddar only he had this time. Both omelets came with seasoned home fries. (The potatoes were perfectly cooked, but I didn't love the spice mix.) We were offered ketchup and house-made hot sauce, which was kind of a sweet and spicy blend. Heather really wants to contribute to the community she's feeding. On Thanksgiving, she'll open for a special meal with pay what you can pricing (using a QR code to pay, so no one feels obvious unwelcome if they can't pay at all). All 10 tables will be set up as one, banquet style so no one will eat alone that day. (Lots of the regular customers are widows or widowers and single people who come in weekly, by themselves. She'll have a tv set up to watch the parade too. What a fantastic new spot that really cares about the people who visit!

The bad: I ordered their season latte with maple costing around $7 and was disappointed. I noticed in the bottom a lot of dark liquid which I thought was espresso shots that's hadn't mixed (happens sometimes) but after several minutes of shaking, stirring with a straw and tasting found out it was pure syrup. It wouldn't mix and the drink was crafted poorly. The flavor of the coffee itself was drinkable but I was quite disappointed the latte wasn't even assembled right. My family got some ice cream as well that wasn't great either. The strawberry was lacking in flavor and had more of a mixed berry taste rather than strawberry. I'm a big ice cream fan and coffee fan and these just didn't hit. Maybe I'll return for another try as the prices of the food and drinks were reasonable.
