This was my first time at dissent and my in bloom latte was very good! I loved the previous shop here as the space is super cute and I'm so glad dissent took it over! I will certainly be back---seems like a great cafe! Wishing them much luck and success in this space

Friend introduced me to this coffee place today. I got the f**k Ice hot coffee, she got a hot coffee with pistachio. They were both delicious. They have some cute pictures books. The service was great. The coffee making was like watching very delicate science experiment. Next time I will bring a book and stay a while. It's in a very cool building that has great old architecture.

Inside the coffee bar area, not pictured are stools along the coffee bar and more tables and chairs in the common area outside in the mall.

Dissent is such a gem of a coffee spot for people who really love and understand coffee. (Coffee nerd alert!) I wish my husband had been able to experience this place. (He's Australian, and they're notoriously picky about their coffee--we live in Brooklyn and he complains about subpar coffee all the time). I did bring back some beans for him from Dissent, and he loves these beans so much we will likely try to order more at some point if possible. I talked to Michael, the owner of Dissent for a while, and to explain away some confusion, the place has undergone a significant transition in the past couple of months. It is not doing sandwiches atm, (though may bring in pastries down the road). I'm more a tea person, and to my delight, found that Dissent also offered various specialty teas on their menu. I tried the Dragonwell, London Smog, as well as their matcha latte on different days, and they were all excellent. I hope this place sticks around! It is hard to find coffee spots like this in the U.S. This cafe is spacious and there's plenty of seating, would see folks around on weekends with their laptops, hanging with friends, and a couple dogs. Update: they're now also doing coffee flights!

It's not The Seed anymore, it's Dissent~ apparently it closed down and its replacement is dissent~ they serve mostly coffee, with a general menu with seasonal options, non-coffee menu of teas, and a black coffee speciality with coffees curated from different countries! I ordered a season gourd pumpkin ice latte with oat milk, and it was delicious! Not too sweet, and I enjoyed the whip cream and cinnamon top. They only have one size. They are 5 weeks new with an official cafe spot. Met the owner, and he mentioned they've done pop ups before, so some may already be familiar. There was another staff who appeared new. I saw how the owner was still teaching his new employees prepare coffee and prep the machines. The shop is very cute and found downstairs! Very quiet and small. Didn't notice if they had wifi or not, but I will ask next time because I want to definitely do work here and enjoy more coffee. There only food items were on the counter, which were pastries and cookies from other venders. Wish they had more options!

Delicious hand-crafted coffees surrounded by mood lighting and jazz music. The passion shows in the product, and the drinks felt special. A welcome start to the morning!

Coffee lovers rejoice - the best pour over you'll find in the Providence area is in downtown Pawtucket! Michael is super knowledgeable about all things coffee. Space is cool and cozy with easy street parking.

This place is a hidden gem! The coffee is excellently prepared by people who know their craft, and they're incredibly nice, to boot. I enjoyed sitting at the bar and working for a bit while sipping my latte and vibing to the jazzy music. It's a lovely experience you can't really get anywhere else (at least, not nearby).

I had been wanting to try this place for the longest but since it is a cute little truck that travels around the state, I hadn't had the opportunity to organically come across it - until this moment. Although a lot of their drink options sounded delicious, I went with the iced Maria Maria. I got the opportunity to chat a bit with one of the Marias and she was very kind, along with the other two team members. The prices are average, with my drink coming out to about $6. One disclaimer is that I don't drink coffee much, so I can't speak about the quality of the coffee taste but overall I loved the drink, mostly because it wasn't too strong or sweet but did have a very creamy taste. In addition, they do add a Maria cookie, which is very nostalgic for me. Although the line was very long, they were very efficient with just 3 people and do get our orders at a timely manner. I am looking forward to the next time I see them again to try more of their stuff. They do post their schedule of where they will be on their instagram page at the start of each week.

They post their schedule for the week on instagram on Mondays. I visited the mobile horse trailer or cart on Tuesday, 8/12/25, at Miriam Hospital on the corner of 7th Ave and Summit Ave in Providence, RI. There is street parking available. At 6:30am, they helped their first customer. I was probably about tenth in line. I ordered the coco-quipe latte from their summer menu. This late is infused with rich arequipe and creamy coconut. It is blended with 2% milk (they didn't have whole milk) and crowned with a fluffy vanilla cold foam and a sprinkle of shredded coconut. Unfortunately, I was expecting the arequipe and coconut flavors to be stronger and I do not think I got shredded coconut on top of it. As I drank more of the latte, it did taste better. The staff members were very friendly and talking to all the customers. It didn't take long for my drink to be ready. I'm glad I had the opportunity to try Maria Maria Coffee Bar.

It's a small pop-up style bakery with a cozy feel, perfect for grabbing pastries and a good coffee to start your morning or treat yourself mid-day. That's saying a lot because I have sampled many, many croissants. The Yum roll was melt-in-your- mouth delicious with the perfect balance of sweet with a hint of salt, crunchy around the edges and topped with a delightful creamy drizzle of caramel. The plain croissants were perfectly fluffy and flaky. The almond square was pure heaven with a deep almond flavored frangipane surrounded by crunchy layers. The bakery itself is really cute. The space is cozy and welcoming, with a simple and very comfortable vibe. It's decorated nicely, with pink (not Barbie pink!) walls, some flowery touches in a few of the pictures, a leafy wall, and the cheery blackboard listing some of the special lattes, benedicts, and juices. The owner, Heather, waited on us and so we were able to get a bit of the story about how she decided to open Cafe Amore. She's been working in restaurants since high school, and always had a vision of owning her own place. Upon hearing that this corner spot was vacant, she picked a name (essentially "cafe love" since opening a restaurant IS a labor of love. The name selected means love, "Amor" for the Spanish speaking folks who were originally going to be partners but who eventually backed out, and Amore for her own Italian heritage), retrofitted the space, set the menu, and jumped in. We came in on only day 68 since opening, but we couldn't tell since everything was so well managed. Apparently, Heather does not sleep: she freshly squeezes the juices served, bakes the sourdough bread that's on the menu, and usually makes fresh muffins in different flavors every week. She's testing recipes for a house-made sourdough English muffin and planning to start growing the microgreens that top every omelet. Oh, she also makes different varieties of beads that are sold as whole loaves on a first come first serve basis on the weekends, and makes her own jelly for sale - and occasionally serves some in the cafe, if she has an available open jar. The coffee here is excellent, and comes in a regular sized mug (not the usual small diner-type serving). Our cups were refilled almost as soon as we emptied them. Along the sunny front window there is a cart full of different complementary syrups to add flavor as desired, but the coffee didn't need them for me. I had the yummy Farmers Omelet with spinach, mushrooms, peppers, onions inside and feta and avocado on top (and those delicate microgreens as garnish) - and some of that absolutely fabulous house-made sourdough that came grilled to perfection. My husband had the "make your own" and went with a simple cheese omelet. He said it was good, but next time he's going to order it with two cheeses instead of the basic cheddar only he had this time. Both omelets came with seasoned home fries. (The potatoes were perfectly cooked, but I didn't love the spice mix.) We were offered ketchup and house-made hot sauce, which was kind of a sweet and spicy blend. Heather really wants to contribute to the community she's feeding. On Thanksgiving, she'll open for a special meal with pay what you can pricing (using a QR code to pay, so no one feels obvious unwelcome if they can't pay at all). All 10 tables will be set up as one, banquet style so no one will eat alone that day. (Lots of the regular customers are widows or widowers and single people who come in weekly, by themselves. She'll have a tv set up to watch the parade too. What a fantastic new spot that really cares about the people who visit!

The bad: I ordered their season latte with maple costing around $7 and was disappointed. I noticed in the bottom a lot of dark liquid which I thought was espresso shots that's hadn't mixed (happens sometimes) but after several minutes of shaking, stirring with a straw and tasting found out it was pure syrup. It wouldn't mix and the drink was crafted poorly. The flavor of the coffee itself was drinkable but I was quite disappointed the latte wasn't even assembled right. My family got some ice cream as well that wasn't great either. The strawberry was lacking in flavor and had more of a mixed berry taste rather than strawberry. I'm a big ice cream fan and coffee fan and these just didn't hit. Maybe I'll return for another try as the prices of the food and drinks were reasonable. Antique Store Location 2.5/5 This location is much better and the drinks here are drinkable just on the sweeter end. My mom and I have gotten drinks here several times and they always come out pretty sweet. I like the cozy environment and it's nice to check out the antique store location while sipping a coffee.
