I stopped in to Notes today and had a perfect experience! I can see how it might be challenging to find parking but luckily I was able to park in front of the building. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The shop itself is surprisingly large and beautifully decorated.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have a counter and another room for sitting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Their menu is on a board but they also have some printed out as well. I ordered the London Fog and the Sunrise sandwich. The staff who took my order was incredibly friendly, patient, and welcoming. After I ordered both the drink and sandwich came out quickly. I loved the London Fog. The tea was high quality and they used the perfect amount of vanilla. Sweet but not overwhelming. Normally I would order an Asiago bagel but the employee recommend an everything bagel and she was right! The bagel itself was a great texture- crispy on the bottom and softer on the top. Their pickled onions were heavenly and everything tasted great. I could have done without the arugula and I found some bites to be a little salty but this definitely wasn't a miss! If you can find parking I highly recommend stopping by for some great food and even nicer service. read more

Now here's a place that's new to me and what a great little place it is. Set amongst a neat row of store fronts just between Newport Ave and the sweet neighborhood off Armistice Blvd, you get a feeling of neighborhood and community. My friend Kristen was able to join me and give me some background. The owner opened up during all this craziness of Covid with great intents of highlighting the art of painting and music. (Coffee notes... Music notes... ) The local paintings are hung tastefully on the wall. I had an iced coffee with cream, featuring New Harvest. A good coffee doesn't need much. I also had the breakfast sandwich on an Asiago Bagel which was just amazing... soft and crisp and tasty. And I know it's not a rare thing, but I love take out boxes... and the little sticker on top just makes such a sweet presentation, almost like a gift! Tried out notes for the first time and O. M. G. !!!!!! This iced maple vanilla latte I got is honestly the most amazing drink ever. It's balances the sweet and coffee taste. I love it and I wish I got a second one. I saw their panini menu and I can't wait to go back and get the one with Turkey and fig jam. UG! Is it too soon to go back? I just left. I love when places have local bakery options, they have Krazy corner bagels and Knead donuts and wrights dairy milk!!! I wish they had a free standing building cuz I'm sure they'd have a cute patio area where I could hang out all day. Unfortunately, they don't have much seating and their isn't much parking. What a sweet little coffee shop! Notes has a sophisticated an inviting interior with art (for sale) on the walls, baked goods from excellent local bakers (Knead Doughnuts and babka from Buns Bakery) and sell other local products (chocolates filled with Rhode Island Spirits vodka). Menu items include sandwiches, avocado toast, etc. The coffee is good too. Specialty drinks can take a teeny bit longer to prepare here than at other shops, but I assume that's because covid has interfered a bit with the team's familiarity with all that they offer. During my first visit, my iced London fog was a bit light on flavor. In my second visit, that was fixed - and the chai latte was fabulous too! The nitro cold brew and hot coffee were solid. Notes has a few tables outside so those of us still not comfortable dining in can feel good stopping for a bit. I've visited on relatively warm days (hence, mostly iced drinks) so don't know if they have heaters. I can confirm that the outside tables are regularly cleaned, and that the owner brought out extra chairs for my party - without us having to request it. I'm looking forward to sitting at a table inside one day. Pawtucket now has a coffee shop with a bit of an LA vibe! read more

Went here this morning and loved it! The cafe is small but bright. Sitting by the window was lovely as I sipped my latte. My latte was delicious, and you can never go wrong with a donut from Knead! You can order online and there were clear COVID protocols inside (one-way walking, sign-in, limited seating). Highly recommend! read more

I want SO BADLY to like this place. I've tried different items, numerous times! Today was a sandwich day. I was in there for at least 10 minutes... patiently waiting with staff moving like sloths and chit-chatting. Literally standing there NOT making a sandwich. Ok, out of all things that prompts me to write a review for a coffee shop, it's the sandwiches at this one. I've loved this place since it opened but what drove me to write a review is how good a simple sandwich was. It goes to show that quality and attention to detail goes a long way. I ordered the Figgy Jam sandwich (or something like that) and it was Devine. Perfectly crisped bread, fresh good quality turkey, crisp bacon and the jam sooooo good. I even took off the cheddar and it was still . So I said all that to say, please continue to live up to the standard that you started with. I love the welcoming atmosphere, the attentiveness of the staff and the dirty chai latte. If you haven't tried this place out yet, I recommend going during a Saturday or Sunday morning to get the true feeling of an at home, what every neighborhood should have, coffee shop. They have some great food options that they make in-house, but also sources things like donuts from local vendors. Coffee is also local, which I appreciate. Im back at Notes. I'm having a coffee here now. I'm the only one in the place. The coffee is not cheap. I think it came to around $4 plus I tipped a dollar. To me it is no better than random diner coffee. The deserts might be good. Haven't tried any recently. I think my curiosity with this place has been satisfied. I'll probably stick with Duncan Donuts when I'm in this area. My favorite coffee is Peet's. At home that's what I brew. read more

We live about 25 minutes from here, but decided to make our way here for our Sunday morning coffee. It is DELICIOUS! My husband had the nitro cold brew with vanilla syrup, and I had the iced maple vanilla latte with oat milk. The atmosphere inside is clean, crisp, and bright, and there are 2 tables outdoors to sit and sip your coffee. We had our dog with us outside, and he was able to say hi to people as we sipped.
