    Home fries flight
    Bre B.

Seriously great food here! Everything was cooked perfectly and so flavorful. The breakfast burger was by far the best thing we got but the goat cheese veggie home-fry (flight) was spectacular too. Loved the avocado toast but the egg got cool by the time it got to the table. Would have been better if it was hotter or to the side. Coffee was excellent-loved the you add in your own flavor syrup station (the cinnamon was excellent!) Miranda was so helpful in guiding us to the best selections since we couldn't decide. She took the time to learn what we enjoy and she nailed it on guiding us on the home-fry flight and the burger. I'm so happy I live nearby and that they open up when I'm getting out of work. Looking forward to returning here soon.

Sooo impressed! Cute spot, very friendly staff, and an incredible menu selection of breakfast and lunch. This is our new favorite spot and can't wait to come back! Even just for a coffee, they are very good and reasonably priced. I don't leave reviews often but when I tried their home fries... wow!

Went for breakfast on my birthday, first time there. There is a small parking lot behind and street parking. The restaurant is small, around 8-10 small tables and a couple of seats at the counter. Went on a Monday at 10 am and all tables were full but only had to wait around 10 minutes to be sat. It was busy so it took a while to get our food. We ordered waffles to share, scrambled eggs and potatoes. Had a watermelon refresher and i think a strawberry lemonade. The drinks were great! Freshly made, fresh fruit, not too sweet. The waffle was good but just a little too hard and too much chocolate (i know, im weird complaining about too much chocolate lol) but it was good overall, we just couldn't finish it. Overall great experience, the waitress was nice; will definitely go back.

Wow! Taylor S and I came here for the first time today for breakfast and everything we had was wonderful! Service was great, coffees were beautiful and tasty, and when we ordered something to share, they put it on two plates due to allergies and just to make our lives easier. How wonderful! We def will be back for more. This place is adorable, well staffed, has great selection and was affordable! So glad we checked it out!

Another stop on the RI Food Fights Iced coffee challenge that I wouldve never stumbled upon otherwise. The order was a joy. She said for the challenge she was doing a almond Joy iced coffee. She even served it with a miniature almond Joy candy. While waiting in this small breakfast establishment, I took a look at the menu and started spooning over it. Everything is housemaid and I truly cannot wait to come back and try the farmers omelette with a flight of home fries.

We came in for breakfast at just the right time to be able to pick our own table from the 10 or so in this cute little space! (Several other folks came in after us.) The space is cozy and welcoming, with a simple and very comfortable vibe. It's decorated nicely, with pink (not Barbie pink!) walls, some flowery touches in a few of the pictures, a leafy wall, and the cheery blackboard listing some of the special lattes, benedicts, and juices. The owner, Heather, waited on us and so we were able to get a bit of the story about how she decided to open Cafe Amore. She's been working in restaurants since high school, and always had a vision of owning her own place. Upon hearing that this corner spot was vacant, she picked a name (essentially "cafe love" since opening a restaurant IS a labor of love. The name selected means love, "Amor" for the Spanish speaking folks who were originally going to be partners but who eventually backed out, and Amore for her own Italian heritage), retrofitted the space, set the menu, and jumped in. We came in on only day 68 since opening, but we couldn't tell since everything was so well managed. Apparently, Heather does not sleep: she freshly squeezes the juices served, bakes the sourdough bread that's on the menu, and usually makes fresh muffins in different flavors every week. She's testing recipes for a house-made sourdough English muffin and planning to start growing the microgreens that top every omelet. Oh, she also makes different varieties of beads that are sold as whole loaves on a first come first serve basis on the weekends, and makes her own jelly for sale - and occasionally serves some in the cafe, if she has an available open jar. The coffee here is excellent, and comes in a regular sized mug (not the usual small diner-type serving). Our cups were refilled almost as soon as we emptied them. Along the sunny front window there is a cart full of different complementary syrups to add flavor as desired, but the coffee didn't need them for me. I had the yummy Farmers Omelet with spinach, mushrooms, peppers, onions inside and feta and avocado on top (and those delicate microgreens as garnish) - and some of that absolutely fabulous house-made sourdough that came grilled to perfection. My husband had the "make your own" and went with a simple cheese omelet. He said it was good, but next time he's going to order it with two cheeses instead of the basic cheddar only he had this time. Both omelets came with seasoned home fries. (The potatoes were perfectly cooked, but I didn't love the spice mix.) We were offered ketchup and house-made hot sauce, which was kind of a sweet and spicy blend. Heather really wants to contribute to the community she's feeding. On Thanksgiving, she'll open for a special meal with pay what you can pricing (using a QR code to pay, so no one feels obvious unwelcome if they can't pay at all). All 10 tables will be set up as one, banquet style so no one will eat alone that day. (Lots of the regular customers are widows or widowers and single people who come in weekly, by themselves. She'll have a tv set up to watch the parade too. What a fantastic new spot that really cares about the people who visit!

    Pineapple pancakes special
    Kristen S.

Cafe Amore is the latest breakfast place to call this space home. It's small inside (two 4 top tables, eight 2 top tables, and 3 counter seats) and decorated with a very cozy vibe. The menu features some unique items like a pancake charcuterie board and Benedict burrito. We ordered the upside down pineapple pancake special and the Irish Benedict, both were very different from what we've had at other breakfast places. The pineapple pancakes were thick and sweet and topped with a cinnamon whipped cream. The Irish Benedict had a lot of herbs mixed into the hollandaise sauce and it was finished with micro greens. I also ordered one of their flavored lattes, which was delicious. They offer a complimentary flavor syrup bar so you can customize your own coffee or tea, such a fun idea!

    Cinnamon bun breakfast sandwich
    Linda A.

I came here to try the breakfast sandwich and it was pretty good. I wish the cinnamon bun were a little fluffier, but everything else tasted great. The menu looks really awesome and creative so I'm happy to come back and try other things! The coffee was strong, and they've got a counter with different syrups that you can freely use to your liking to jazz up your coffee. That's pretty awesome, I don't see that often. The service was absolutely amazing. Super friendly and inviting. I'm looking forward to coming back.

Went here for a late breakfast and boy was this place delicious!! My husband and I sat at the counter as only one large table of 5 was available. We were greeted with smiles and our order was taken right away. When the food came out I was happily surprised it wasn't an overwhelming amount of food. Also had homemade jelly which was such a lovely treat! Get here and enjoy a meal!!

Had an amazing breakfast this morning! The menu has a lot to choose from and we had a hard time deciding so tried a little bit of everything. The traditional amore breakfast (eggs, bacon, home fries and toast), avocado toast, Nutella stuffed waffle and and a side of homemade corned beef hash. It was all so delicious! Loved how crispy the home fries were and the homemade hot sauce was incredible. Great portions and reasonable prices. We took half of the waffle and corned beef hash home. I also loved the coffee bar with a variety of syrups to customize my coffee. Really neat! My fave was the sugar free cookie dough. I was pleasantly surprised to see sugar free options. My hubby loved his specialty brown butter iced latte. Can't wait to go back and try more of the menu. Service was also friendly!

The love moves at a decent pace. Here finally my turn and I honestly had no clue what to expect or what they even really sold but I was hoping they had anything that contained ham and cheese and they did, Brad with ham and cheese for $3.50 I was surprised that was all. They do gave finger foods, drinks coffee and fruit drinks, breads, pastries of many sorts. I was tempted to get a pastry but I stayed focused. The bread was actually good and tasted fresh they only concern which was a big one for me was that there was hardly any ham and cheese in it and I mean like barely none. I could have actually went with just bread as that's what I felt I received. Would I return maybe especially if I am in mood for something g sweet as the variety was plenty to choose from. There is a sit down area on both sides of the restaurant with one big screen tv. This place seems more of a grab and go type establishment. They open at 5:00am and close at I believe 9:00 pm

So I was expecting Feed the Cheeks to serve me some generic, overly sweet gimmicky monstrosity that would make me ill. But no! I ordered the chocolate strawberry cookie and I really liked it. It wasn't overly sweet, but balanced in its flavor. The strawberry icing wasn't thick and gross and overly sweet either. The chocolate was rich and because they warmed it up, perfectly ooey gooey. If I had been a little more cognizant of my surroundings instead of getting worked up by the iPad ordering system (can we please bring back human interaction?), I probably would've gotten a four pack of the mini cookies and sampled a few flavors. But when in Rome, order the giant cookies. The cookie still tasted good when I finished it at work the next day, too. The inside is what you'd expect, and very pink. And there's a few short stools at a very low counter you can sit at. I had some time to kill so I sat and ate my cookie there. Passersby looked down on us from the large windows facing Angell Street. Maybe they were jealous that they didn't treat themselves to a big cookie, or maybe they were cherishing their own willpower as they looked forward to the kale salad awaiting them at home.
