Crêpes are one of her absolute favorites, so a quick Yelp search led us to La Crêperie just a couple of blocks from where we parked. It's a great, solid spot for a light breakfast, lunch, or late-night snack. A cute, super casual little hole in the wall tucked right on the corner off Thayer Street. It's a very small, hidden space inside with no customer bathroom, but they have a bit of indoor seating as well as a couple of tables outside. There is no dedicated parking lot, so make sure to grab a spot on Thayer or nearby side streets. Really good food. The crêpes themselves are perfectly thin with just the right chewy texture. We ordered one savory Napolitaine (ham and cheese) and one sweet butter and sugar crêpe. The prices are very reasonable, especially given high inflation. Service was prompt, friendly, and relatively fast once he got past the slow ordering family in front of us. It was a one-person show when we visited, and a family of four ahead of us took about 10 minutes to decide on their order with multiple changes. Once our order was in, though, he was surprisingly quick at whipping up the food and getting us on our way.

They have some great savory options as well. The staff and owner were over the top nice and a passionate vibe for what they do was very warming and contagious. Not the best crepe flavor but still decent. I got an iced caramel latte and that was probably the best coffee I've had at a local breakfast joint. It's the kind of place where you line up to order at the register then sit down & wait for your food. We came right at 11am on a Sunday and the place was unusually (according to a friend who goes often) packed. I applaud the 2 workers I saw who got the line down as fast as they could. The woman on the register was also making the coffees/teas and there was one man making all the crepes. One weird thing to note because as a mom, I always like to know: at least one of the bathrooms had a changing table which I appreciate so much. I think I'd definitely come again & just hope it's not busy. Might try a savory crepe next time!

They have a pleasant French inspired ambiance, which isn't fancy but very enjoyable. Note that their metal chairs, however, don't invite long stays. Historically, most of my visits here have resulted in some tasty crepes. Today was no exception, other than my Country Breakfast Crepe which was outstanding, the best Crepe I've had at this nifty, out of the way spot. After our 3 mile walk at the beautiful Blackstone Canal, we stopped by this interesting, little restaurant and selected: * Ham, Apricot & Brie Crepe $16.95 * Country Breakfast Crepe with Sausage $16.95 The Ham & Brie Crepe was nicely prepared and tasty. The Country Breakfast Crepe arrived surrounded by a cheese sauce with a sausage patty and perfectly cooked sunny side up egg on top. I think there were mushrooms, diced potato and a tasty sauce inside. Would I order this again? You betcha! Service was prompt, and we enjoyed the last few minutes of the live Jazz Ensemble just before they finished up. I look forward to a return visit.
