Also, my friend highly recommended this place as it is her favorite. We made it there about 30 minutes till close and it was a weekday so not too many people were there. They have a good-sized parking lot, and lots of areas to sit and eat; some in their front lawn, right on the patio, or in the back. I anticipated them being out of stock of some flavors since it is the end of the season and I was right, but they still had about 75% of our first choices. They have some flavors with unique names like unicorn poop and green Monstah as well as menu items like shakes, frappes, sundaes, and even ice cream sandwiches. I played it safe but fun and ordered a scoop of oatmeal cookie, my mom originally ordered espresso crunch but they were out so we defaulted to salted caramel crunch, my brother ordered two scoops of cookie butter, and my friend got a vanilla soft serve with caramel. The total came out to around $20 which is fair for 4 people and the amount of ice cream we got. I thought the ice cream was tasty, with a good consistency (not too hard, not gooey or melted), and a good amount of the add-ins (cookies, caramel, etc.).

Since moving away from the area i hadn't been back but heard of the expansion to a bigger place close by. Today my friend took me there for lunch and i was pleasantly surprised. There is plenty of parking on the lot; the location has a front area with a couple tables, but the back dining area is spacious and nicely decorated. Big tables and a game nook (puzzle and tables games people can use); there is also an outside area with seats and a rooftop. The rooftop looks nice for a hangout; if they were BYOB, it would be perfect. We sat in the back area; we had to order at the couple but some brought out plates to our table. After ordering, we walked by the gelato area, looking at the options for desert. The owner offered us samples, telling us where the gelato comes from and making suggestions. He was very nice and attentive; it was nice that he made time to chat with us. We ordered the steak tips, came with rice, fries and salad. Was delicious; only wish they had asked how we like the steak cooled because it came well done. We also got passion fruit drink which was refreshing. For desert i got pistachio and tiramisu gelato, so delicious! I will definitely go back; the menu had a lot of options, from pizzas to burgers and fries plus the deserts options were endless!

However, the customer service during our most recent visit, which was our first visit of the season, was surprisingly rude, which leaves me wondering if something at Sundaes has changed, hence the two star review. We brought a group of 12 here on Friday night, 5/15/26 at about 7:15 and the employee who took our orders was polite and wrote everything down. We paid for our order all together. It wasn;t very busy when we arrived, but it took quite a while, nearly 10 minutes, for us to receive the first of the 12 ice creams, and then the rest of the order came out little by little. By the time we left, there was a line of about a dozen people. When my ice cream was ready, it didn't have the sprinkles I had ordered. I asked if sprinkles could be put on, and rather than simply adding sprinkles, the employee (manager?), went and checked the paper order, stated that sprinkles weren't written down and that she would have to charge me for the sprinkles. I asked about it again, citing our order was large ($88), and couldn't they just put the sprinkles on that they forgot to include. She replied repeatedly stating that doing that would be against company policy. Hmmmm....... Really? If that's the case, Sundae's policy is pretty poor. This exchange of words left me with a very bad feeling, but as I was with a large group including several kids, I didn't press it any further. Why in the world would a company refuse something that costs pennies to the business, instead making the customer go through the trouble of cashing out again, especially when it was the business' mistake? More ice creams from our order continued to come out at a very slow pace. One ice cream was made with the wrong flavors, and one was forgotten and by the time we received it, most of the other people in our party had already finished eating. At some point as we waited for our ice creams the "manager" called out to me to ask if I wanted rainbow or chocolate sprinkles (I guess the company policy had changed?), but at that point it was too late, she had already set the tone. While the ice cream at Sundaes is fine, I would strongly suggest that the owner of this business provide training to their staff on customer service, and how refusing to honor a request for forgotten sprinkles without incurring a new charge can lose a customer (or in our case a large group of customers) for a long time. Also, the wait time needs to be speeded up. Maybe more staff is needed? With so many other ice cream places within a short drive of Sundae's. I doubt that we'll be back given our most recent experience here. Moose Trackers in Scituate, Gigi's Scoops in Smithfield, or The Parlor Creamery in Cranston are all great places and will get our business the next time our group goes out for ice cream.

Because of the heat, I opted to eat my ice cream in the car. This ice cream packs a punch in sweetness. Between the cheesecake, the graham cracker swirl and the strawberry mixed in, this is a sweet tooth's dream cone. While sweeter than my preference usually, I did enjoy this cone down to the last bite! Crêpes are one of her absolute favorites, so a quick Yelp search led us to La Crêperie just a couple of blocks from where we parked. It's a great, solid spot for a light breakfast, lunch, or late-night snack. A cute, super casual little hole in the wall tucked right on the corner off Thayer Street. It's a very small, hidden space inside with no customer bathroom, but they have a bit of indoor seating as well as a couple of tables outside. There is no dedicated parking lot, so make sure to grab a spot on Thayer or nearby side streets. Really good food. The crêpes themselves are perfectly thin with just the right chewy texture. We ordered one savory Napolitaine (ham and cheese) and one sweet butter and sugar crêpe. The prices are very reasonable, especially given high inflation. Service was prompt, friendly, and relatively fast once he got past the slow ordering family in front of us. It was a one-person show when we visited, and a family of four ahead of us took about 10 minutes to decide on their order with multiple changes. Once our order was in, though, he was surprisingly quick at whipping up the food and getting us on our way.
