My friend and I came here on a weekend, looking to satisfy our sweet tooth. The parking lot was almost full and the line was pretty long, but it went by quick. We didn't mind though because it gave us time to go through their massive menu. They have lots of soft and hard flavors, along with sundaes, shakes, and much more. My friend was set on trying their Dubai chocolate ice cream until he saw that it was a massive cup with an overwhelming amount of ice cream and toppings. Since we both decided on their apple pie ice cream, we shared their medium size ($6) to save a couple dollars compared to two smalls. We sat outside, but their tables are far, with very little lighting so it was sad. The apple pie ice cream literally taste like the first bite of vanilla ice cream over a slice of apple pie during thanksgiving dinner, without the cold and hot combo you get with the real experience. This is a seasonal flavor so it only comes around September, but I would highly recommend. I thought their prices were fair and aligned with most ice cream shops. read more

Found this gem on the way to the gas station. They have so many flavors to pick from (hard or soft) and the oreo was DELICIOUS! Tasted fresh and creamy! The kiddie scoop was quite a lot and I was so pleasantly surprised when they gave it to me-- they don't skimp out here! $5.10 for the kiddie scoop and $6.10 for the small etc. Staff was nice and didn't do the awkward flipping of the screen to ask for a tip. They have been open for 40 years and I can see why! read more

Sundaes is great! So many options. My kid loves the little carousel and truck behind by the picnic tables. Everyone's so quick there's endless options. I really want to try their "icecream nacho". We had been faithful customers for mant years, On our recent visit a couple of weeks ago we had some questions because prices on the menu were not the same on one sign as another. On the side window sign, the cost of the kiddi or small was differnt than the price of the same item on the front window. We asked one of the servers why the difference and were told for soft serve there is one price for vanilla and chocolate or a twise and another price if you wanted a flavor of soft serve. I guess that sounds reasonable, EXCEPT, the price different is $1.00. That seemed afwully high to us and the person helping us did not seem sure of her answer. With that said, we were disappointent, left and took the family somewhere else. For a family of 5 to get something other than chocolate or vanilla is the cost of another ice cream. Shame on you for price gauging. Very unfortunate. read more

I was determined to give this place another shot. So, I went yesterday to get my coffee soft serve I've been craving. The coffee was way, way better than the black raspberry. I was told it comes right out of the machine. As well as chocolate and vanilla. Explains the much richer flavor. My husband got the milky way hard ice cream with some hot fudge. I actually gasped because it tasted like milky way but, ice cream form! Yummo! All in all, good place to curb your ice cream cravings with their wide variety. Although, I think I'll be sticking with their hard ice cream because of their huge servings and fabulous flavors. For a nice, coffee soft serve, I'll head over to Hilltop in EG. read more

I love Sundaes. I actually worked at the Cranston location (back in 1999, literally) and it has been consistently delicious since then. Their best attribute - soft serve coffee. And it's not vanilla with coffee syrup mixed in. It's out of the machine, and it's delicious. The prices are consistent with current times (I have to remind myself that a kiddie cup for $0.89 is literally a price from over 20 years ago) and the portions are very generous. Either you're in Cranston or Seekonk, the service is good and the ice cream is delicious! read more

Small twist in a wafer cone with chocolate jimmies. Yummm yummm. Service with a smile and a HUGE amount of choices. Over 20 soft service flavors to choose from, yogurts and no-sugar-added ice creams for the diabetics out there, sorbets and non-dairy dolewhip for the lactose intolerant, and so much more! Parking can be a bit tricky in the summer but there is usually a spot to be found. You get a lot of ice cream for your money and there are SO many flavors to choose from. I love Sundae's! It's dangerous though - it's right down the road from me AND they accept credit cards, so I end up getting ice cream here way more than I should. They have a great selection of ice cream, froyo, Dole Whip, and Only 8 options, as well as a variety of cones and toppings. If you're trying to keep it healthy, they definitely have options. I typically get the Graham Central Station, which is a graham cracker ice cream with caramel swirls and chunks of chocolate covered graham cracker bits. It's too die for! The ice cream portions are HUGE. A small is typically two gigantic scoops. I even got a kiddie size last time I went and it was still huge. The location is interesting. It's right off of route 44 and fairly close to the road, but they do have a nice little area in the back where you can sit and enjoy your ice cream away from the busy street. They are a dog-friendly location and will even whip up a doggie sundae for your canine companion! I'll continue to come to Sundae's for years to come! read more

Ok....so a few more trips to Sundaes and I declared to my husband, "I gave them a chance but I'm done. Don't let me go there anymore." The first time I ordered the soft serve I thought she had given me vanilla by accident so I just happily ate it up because I still loved that peanut brittle. But this last time I was able to confirm that actually, the soft serve "flavors" don't actually have any flavor. My peanut butter/coffee twist just sort of left me wondering, "Wait, maybe it's not vanilla? I think I taste peanut butter...maybe? Shit. I can't tell." So...I'm done. A little off the beaten path, but worth the drive - especially on a hot summer's day. Sundaes has a huge selection of ice cream from nearby Bliss Ice Cream (yummy), and soft serve options, and their portions are huge. I am actually deducting a star for their portion size. I got the kiddie size and it was 2 heaping scoops. When I was ordering I asked if I could have 2 flavors in the small, and the server said I had to get a medium for that because it's 2 scoops. ummm.... hello, this is 2 scoops too. I don't think I need any more than what I got. This is why there are so many overweight people in the US. My friend got a root beer float and there was so much ice cream in the glass that more than half the can of root beer was left. It was pretty awesome that they gave her the can so that she could refill as she went, but again, too much. I made a 20+ minute drive here only because their website advertises that they serve Dole Whip, a popular and previously exclusive treat at Walt Disney World. When I asked at the window if they had Dole pineapple whip, the girl replied, "yes we have Dole Whip... we can add pineapple flavoring for you." This seemed strange to me, since it is a mix that is ready to serve out of the machine. I ordered a pineapple dole whip with vanilla twist. She gave me a cup that had some yellow colored ice cream in it. Got back to the car and started driving home... took a bite and let me tell you, that was no dole whip. It was like they added yellow food coloring to vanilla soft serve. A small was almost $5. Will not be going back. So, so disappointed. read more

Loved coming here!! The tables and the environment are lovely to be in. The ice cream is creamy and super flavorful, I had the chocolate chip cookie dough and it was just what I wanted :). People should be more considerate and take care of the establishment they are in, a bunch of kids we're running around ruining the property and being disrespectful to the employees, absolutely not nice and disrespectful, please be more mindful since it's not fair to the people working there taking care of it!!! This is one of the better places around to get ice cream. It always has a long line when its nice out. Staff is friendly. Their customers are rude though. People smoke in the lines which hurts my asthma. People take the handicap spots when they are not handicap and people like myself need them but I can't believe this place for either issue but its one thing you have to deal with when you go here.
