I REALLY liked the rotisserie chicken breakfast sandwich. The croissant can't really hold up to the fillings but they give you utensils and I liked the taste enough to not care.

Fried Chicken Breakfast Sandwich - Fried Chicken on a Toasted Croissant Bun, Over-Easy Egg, American Cheese, Pickles, and Ranch

To be honest, I'm surprised the reviews for this place are so low! Not that I ever expect to be amazed by an airport eatery (though, a spot at SFO would probably have the best chance), but, in my experience, Proposition Chicken has typically been pretty solid. So, in search of something to eat for breakfast before our flight, coming here felt like a pretty safe bet! While the dining options in Terminal 3 actually aren't too shabby, our options around the food court felt relatively slim - typical coffee shop pastries, breakfast sandwiches, and breakfast plates. However, even if we had more to choose from, the menu here looked far too interesting to resist. Given my familiarity with, and fondness for, both their fried chicken and rotisserie chicken, getting to try both as part of a breakfast sandwich sounded like a rather promising way to start the day! -- FRIED CHICKEN BREAKFAST SANDWICH - Fried Chicken on a Toasted Croissant Bun, Over-Easy Egg, American Cheese, Pickles, and Ranch...$13.99 This was great! Even with the sauce and everything on top, the batter was crispy and the chicken itself was quite juicy. As for everything else, the bun was nicely toasted yet still fluffy and the egg and cheese were good. -- FLIPPED BREAKFAST SANDWICH - Rotisserie Chicken on a Toasted Croissant Bun, Over-Easy Egg, American Cheese, and Ranch...$13.99 Not quite as tasty as the fried version, but still pretty good. Although I liked how flavorful and moist the chicken was, I wish the pieces were bigger, as they kept falling out. Also, this one felt a little heavy on the ranch. Along with how decent everything tasted, the other thing that I liked was how (relatively) quick our food came out. Even with a number of groups ahead of us, the kitchen was quick to get orders out (can't say how it is during lunch/dinner, though). The biggest knocks? Their prices are higher than at their other locations, which is expected given that it's the airport, and their coffee, which wasn't that strong and tasted rather generic. However, for what and where they are, Proposition Chicken isn't too shabby for a quick bite while you're here! THREE AND A HALF STARS rounded up.

If you want a great sandwich in the airport, the super breakfast sandwich (fried chicken, pickle, fried egg and cheese) is the way to go. Very delicious (note: I was very hungry so I'm probably weighting this heavily). The bbq sauce is not typical bbq sauce, went well with the sandwich but was unneeded. I had fries too which were fine. The house dipping sauce was pretty good. I'm not really going into price. It's an airport. In San Francisco. You pay. The sandwich cost the same as the warm grab and go market in the airport so I'll say it's a fair deal

This is a bustling place and I love that you can order on a kiosk and service is fast! I ordered a piece of chicken and potato wedges and Coke Zero. Waited for 5 mins for the freshly cooked chicken. It was pretty good, can't complain. Check them out, at the F gate food court! Definitely recommended.

Do not I repeat do not eat this chicken if I could I would rate it 0 stars had it before my flight to Florida it was the only thing I had eaten all day was super hungry the chicken was alright at best sauce was super liquidly but that's besides the point I don't how long that chicken was sitting there but it's must've been a long time. By the time I got to my hotel I was feeling a little funky didn't know what it was from my stomach was pretty upset thought maybe I just had to use the bathroom so I went to the toilet and then got some diarrhea while I was on the toilet having diarrhea I had the sudden urge to throw up so I grabbed the trash can and started projectile vomiting into it and I started to have a fever and chills as well. I managed to go to sleep eventually only to wake up again and projectile vomit again. Do not eat here I am not making this up would like to save any of you the defeating feeling of having to vomit and not being able to do anything about it.

Standard airport food stall ambiance. Food was expensive but came out fresh and the fries were delicious. I also could have easily shared this meal with someone which would have made it more cost effective. This was my first time trying proposition chicken so I got the house sauce and ranch (both for an additional $1 each) and if I came again I would skip the house sauce. I ordered on the screen in-front of someone and the worker was nice and quick to get me my food. If you're looking for somewhere to eat in this food court I would recommend the Greek place right next to this but if you are seriously craving chicken this place is just fine. Nothing to really rave about but easy to share and quick.

A decent option relative to the other restaurants in the vicinity. I got the chicken tenders which was good. Staff seemed friendly and attentive.

Airport food and what do you expect? Thought chicken would be safe to order, how would you go wrong? But chicken tasted very bland. Not a hint of salt. Sometimes it makes me wonder how much the cost is to make food taste a notch better. But I have to compliment them for letting me choose which part I prefer. The coleslaw was even worse. Taste is not even close to what it's called.

    Egg and Cheese Breakfast Sandwich

Ooh, did not check the reviews before coming here. Was in a rush in the morning and grabbed an egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. I expected chicken in this thing even though it didn't say it on the menu - guess my brain wasn't awake yet. The sandwich itself - warm soft bread, a runny egg, and a slice of melted cheese. It was actually quite tasty except I thought I was eating a filet-o-fish sandwich. No, there wasn't fish in the sandwich, but the sauce was like tartar sauce and it threw me for a complete loop. If I were to come back, I'd probably add bacon and then see what other sauce options were available. Maybe they have something more like an aioli? I wouldn't recommend the default sauce.

    Buttermilk Ranch Breakfast Sandwich
    Allie G.

Not quite as bad as the other reviews say, but this place is definitely mediocre! I ordered the Buttermilk Ranch Breakfast Sandwich with the house sauce on the side. The side sauces do cost extra, but the house sauce was fully worth it. It took about 10 minutes for my food to be ready (make sure you actually check that all your items/sauces are there), and I took it to a table in the food court since I wasn't in a rush. The sandwich was very hot and messy to eat, so I ended up having to eat it in parts. I did like the chicken itself, as well as their ranch sauce. The bread was just ok (very greasy) and the egg wasn't runny at all. Overall, it wasn't terrible, but I would probably try elsewhere next time I'm at the airport.

While the location itself is tiny, the menu is enormous and every flavor packs a huge punch. I'll be disappointing health addicts here since I noticed that most of their boneless chicken is made with dark or thigh meat but that's what makes it soooo flavorful and delicious. The fry is perfect, light and well seasoned. The sauces are bomb dot com except hot spicy. Watch out lol it's delicious and will be giving you heart burn and vengeance later! Def looking forward to my next batch of secret sauce! Deeeeeelish!!!

I have only frequented this location maybe 3x's and wife 3x's separately bringing her friends for their first try. The chicken itself in consistent, but the FRIES are not. bb.q is a franchise and it was my understanding all franchisees were to adhere to corporate guidelines for consistency. I looked into this and my assumption was correct, that all franchisees need to adhere with what corporate hands down. As for the San Bruno location it's apparent they may not be adhering to guidelines regarding the type of fries they should be using. Back when they first opened in Oct/Nov 2024 they were using the correct fries, but somewhere down the road they changed them. When I first noticed the change I mentioned it to whoever was in charge and their response then was they had run out of the coated fries and were using a different type as a substitute. My sister-in-law who frequents the Apple Park location (nearly every two weeks) with us, went to the San Bruno location with her daughter and came back complaining; the fries weren't the same and although the chicken was cooked perfectly, it didn't have sufficient sauce. I said regarding the fries, "really? they told me they were out last week and had to substituted it for another. I would have thought they would have resolved it by the next order." A couple weeks later my wife who can't help talking about how good bb.q chicken is, brought one of her friends to the San Bruno location due to the shorter distance. Naturally my wife was deeply disappointed because the fries are what she bragged about most because they pair so well and really compliment the chicken. Two weeks later I had a craving for bb.q and stopped by the San Bruno location also due to distance and ordered the Lunch Special (my definite go to!!). The chicken was great as ever, but again, the fries were not the same. I asked the person in charge after repeated visits the fries are still not as before. I was then told they were no longer using the coated fries. So, unless corporate gets involved to make a change, I will no longer frequent nor recommend the San Bruno location. It appears to me the franchisee wants to cut back on cost at the expense of the brand image. Hopefully someone at corporate investigates and makes the necessary change. As a customer who has found consistency in Las Vegas, Cupertino, Sunnyvale, Hawaii, why not San Bruno? The staff at San Bruno is still very nice and the chicken consistent. Again, my only complaint is the fries that have been substituted for the real McCoy.

Sure, eating a freshly made sando is by far better than one ordered for to go and arriving minutes later, so when I found the opportunity to dine here on the afternoon of Wednesday, April 22, 2026, I jumped on it. Located at Nine88, a mixed-use apartment complex at 988 El Camino Real in South San Francisco, the six-story building has a hidden ground-level garage with free parking for residents and shop customers. The casual fast-food eatery was brightly lit during our visit. Few tables were occupied by customers and all of the remaining available indoor tables could have used a good wiping to clean off food crumbs and droppings. Starbird serves a variety of chicken dishes from TENDERS to SANDWICHES, JUMBO NUGGETS, SALADS, WINGS, SIDES, TREATS to DRINKS, along with HOUSE-MADE SAUCES and meal boxes for KIDS. Typical of fast-food set up, solely counter service is offered here. There were some kiosks against the wall for placing orders, but, as usual, we opted for the traditional method of ordering with an actual person at the counter. Easy peasy, as expected. Z ordered TRUFFLE PARMESAN FRIES ($7.47) and I stuck to what I came for, a BIG STAR ($9.97). We waited about ten minutes for our food to be ready. The wait felt longer. I guess that's what hunger does to you...and, WOW, seriously, the fries were only $2.50 cheaper than my sammy?? That's nuts! I mean, yeah, truffle oil is not cheap, but for the small serving size of french fries, that's a rip-off. At least they didn't charge Z for the HOUSE-MADE Star Sauce that he requested. Finally, I got to sink my teeth into a freshly made BIG STAR. Gotta tell ya - the fried chicken sandwich was big, indeed, but I was a bit disappointed because I was expecting more crunch from the crispy chicken. The flavour was good, though, but adding the Star Sauce definitely elevated the taste. I asked Z how many stars he would give this place - 4 stars for the "good food, not filthy venue and good service," he said. I give them 3, thus the 3.5 overall rating.

This entrée only has 1/2 a chicken, lemon wedge, and Herby goddess dressing. There's no biscuit or small diced salad. So that means you would have to order sides like fries or small slaw. But how was the roast chicken? The Prop C Roast Chicken was very good and tasty. The seasoning and flavor goes deep into the meat. Also, the meat is moist and is easy to eat. Yes, I would buy this chicken again. Roasted chicken is lower in fat and cholesterol than fried chicken. So it's a better choice. Would I order again? Yes! When I say we were excited to hear Local Kitchens (LK) was partnering with Square Pie Guys (SPG), it would be an understatement. SPG has long been on our list of places we want to try due to its delicious presence on social media, and the fact that it's locally grown. PARKING: This is located within the LK location in the Bayhill Shopping Center in San Bruno. There are a bunch of other businesses in the center such as Starbucks, Mollie Stone's, and CVS, so there is plenty of free parking. There is a little side lot that seems to be dedicated mostly to LK, based on its proximity. A few of the spaces are labeled as specifically for LK customers and pick up orders. ORDERING: There are two ways to order your food at LK. In person at the kiosk, or on the app. I definitely recommend using the app, as you're more casually able to browse the menu from the comfort of your car or home. The SPG pizzas take particularly long to cook due to its thiccness, so I especially recommend ordering ahead when indulging here. Once inside, there is a large screen that shows your name and the estimated time of completion. Ordering through the app also allows you to collect points to use for rewards such as $$ off future purchases! NOTE: If you order ahead and get there a bit earlier than the estimated time, go up and chat with the friendly LK staff. They'll check on your order, and oftentimes it's ready before the original time! FOOD: They have four (4) pizza options to choose from at this location: The 6x8, The Big Von, Mush-o-Roni, and Regular Square. They range from $21-$26 depending on which one you get. Our favorite is The 6x8. It has "red sauce, and 48 pepperonis", classically delicious. They use the smaller pepperonis that curl up when they cook, which is the best. The Big Von was another tasty one, though pretty different. It has white sauce instead of red, still has pepperoni, but also adds Italian sausage and Mike's hot honey. The Regular Square is more of a classic cheese, and the Mush-o-Roni has red sauce, mushrooms, tiny pepperonis, Mike's hot honey, parsley, and grana cheese! All of their pizzas are THICC, and best of all, they have a delicious crispy cheese skirt that covers the entire perimeter of the pie. They also have Buffalo wings on the menu (6 for $15). We've ordered these a few times and would say they're solid. The buffalo sauce is flavorful and it comes with carrot sticks and a side of ranch. NOTE: I will say, the ranch is unfortunately not my favorite. It's not quite as thick as I'd prefer, and it has a heavy taste of dill that overpowers everything else. I loove ranch, but for $1/ea I will order it sparingly, if at all. They also have sides of their signature sauce, which is more of an aioli, and also sides of Mike's hot honey. TIP: You can also order sides of sauces from other LK partners, so have fun with it! OVERALL: This pizza smacks! I love the thiccer style, and the cheese skirt takes it to the next level. They cut them into four (4) slices, and they're big enough that we could either stuff ourselves with two, or save them for the next day and have a second meal. It makes me want to make the trek out to one of their actual restaurants to try some different options! Shoutout to all of the hardworking staff at LK. They're dealing with a lot of orders from various platforms, and the chefs are expertly creating dishes from over a half dozen different restaurants. All the staff I've dealt with here have been great, and I've specifically had lots of positive and helpful interactions with Brianne. Thanks again, I'm already craving my next pizza!! The two pizzas were ready after about 20 minutes of ordering. I ordered the 6x8 and the Big Von. Both had the crunchy and fresh toasted cheese sides and soft/buttery tasting crust. Did not taste any Mikes Hot Honey on the Big Von, although the white sauce was really flavorful. For the sauces ranch was a hit, but the SPG sauce tasted too much like a mustard and relish with thousand island - maybe better for a burger or chicken strips than pizza. Compared to the OG locations, it was pretty much the same although the crunchy sides felt like a little less cheese. Would definitely go back if craving Square Pie Guys!
