I decided on the strawberry raspberry tea with aloe add in at 50% sweet. This was the perfect treat. It wasn't overly sweet and I can taste the floral notes of the tea without worrying that I'm going to be wired later, since it's decaf. The cups are super cute and comes with a little heart stopper. The tiramisu foam is incredibly thick and will most certainly give you a foam mustache if you drink from the open lid. However, that lid is not good for driving unless you want milk tea splashing all over your seat. The tea base was creamy and had the perfect level of sweetness. Drinks: Love that they brew the tea fresh for their drinks! It might make the process a little slower but it's worth it. TRY THE SAMPLES! They usually have 2-3 different carafes of drinks that are available for samples. It seems like they switch up the flavors every day so it's a great way to try multiple drinks. I've had the Genmaicha Milk Tea and the Lychee Berry and they were both great. Genmaicha is one of my favorite teas but I don't often see it at boba shops, so I was excited to see it! The Lychee Berry was refreshing but a little pricy so I might get it every once in a while. Parking: There's a 90 minute free lot across the street that I usually park at. I was speechless. It was one of the most expensive drink there ($6.75), but smelled like half dried sour rag and tasted like orange and lime washed water. My Tiramisuntra should not have had ice in the bottom, whereas the lychee black should have had more. The hazelnut milk tea was disappointing- could be like Nutella explosion in the right hands. It also came with marshmallows. As for their milk tea, it's not on the heavy cream side and you can taste the tea. I opted for 50% sugar and it was perfect with the foam so it wasn't too sweet or bitter. I also sampled their grapefruit breezy. That was soooooooo sweet and sugary. Kinda like a syrup consistency. There were about 3 small, circular tables and one larger table if you wanted to study or hang out. I probably wouldn't come back to get this drink. My friends and I wanted to hang out a bit more in old town Pasadena but all the nearby boba shops all had a closing time of 7 PM. Prolece was the only place that had a much later closing time. We decided to buy boba from Prolece and walk around Colorado for a while. I got the Rose Green Tea, 50% sweet with no boba. My friends ordered various milk teas. There was only one person working in the entire place, which I felt a bit bad for. Prices are definitely high but to be honest, that's just the state of the world today. Costs are continually going up, what can you do? The drink, in my opinion was way too sweet even with the 50% sweet. In fact, all my friends confessed that their drinks were extremely sweet even after ordering it with less sugar. Prolece has a huge menu so they definitely cater to all kinds of customers. I think if I do go back, which I probably will as they are the rare business that closes so late, is that I will order with much less sugar, like 25%. read more

OK I haven't even tried my drink and food yet and I'm impressed (don't worry, I'm still going to review the drink and food when it comes in a minute). So, super cute little cafe, not too noisy, right across from 90 minutes of free parking, free samples, super sweet employee, 20% for Yelp check-in and... CHEESE FOAM ( unfortunately my sleepy little suburb of Glendora still has not yet discovered cheese foam)! I don't think I could ask for much more. OK, I spread my wings and tried the iced sakura green tea with cheese foam and lychee jelly (I usually get almond milk tea w/boba) and it was yummy. Tea was delicate and not too sweet. Cheese foam was perfect. I got the combo w/fries. I asked for no spice, and there really was NO spice. So I asked for a little spice--my bad! That spice, is really spice!! I think I was expecting more like a garlic salt or something b/c that's what most boba cafes do with their fries, but this was like cayenne pepper, I think. So just be aware. So, they get a star for getting it right, but I would suggest at least asking if we want salt/garlic salt or some kind of flavor, even if we don't want spice. I LOVE IT! read more

It was my first time at Prolece Tea after having ramen in old town. I ordered the strawberry kiss based on how pretty the drink looked. I love how they use real strawberries so you know you're drinking something healthy. The drink consisted of blended strawberries with green tea and cheese foam on top. The cheese foam was an absolute nice touch to the drink making it a bit more sweet and fun to drink. I got it at 50% sweet with no boba. At 50% sweet, it was good enough for me since the cheese foam was sweet as well, but next time I will be trying it at 75% sweet with boba included. I can't wait to be back in old town so I can drink this again. However, I do have to say that my only complaint is that I did notice there was an eyelash in my cheese foam. I know this was an accident by whoever made the drink, but I really do hope I don't see an eyelash again next time because I do plan to get it again and the drink is pretty tasty! read more

Prolece Tea is one of my favorite boba shops in the NELA/Pasadena area! I specifically come here for their cheese foam because they DO IT RIGHT! My go-to drink is the Strawberry Kiss. It's basically a strawberry smoothie (possibly blended with tea but I'm not 100% sure) with cheese foam on top. It is to DIE FOR and I could totally drink two of these if I were really thirsty or craving it. Some places aren't great at nailing cheese foam but I would definitely say Prolece is one of the best places I've tried so far. I recently went during COVID-19 and they were very safe and all staff were wearing PPE which I approved. It was takeout only so I ended up calling in for my order so that it was ready when I arrived. The only thing I don't love is the parking in the area isn't great since it's in Old Town. I had ordered for my family to where I was in excited that they were going to try these drinks because the tea leaves were of a variety and openly displayed. In total, we ordered four drinks to where we had two extra large sizes and two large sizes.
