Project N1 - Love that My boys can keep up with mom!! my tough boy took it like a champ. - Airsoft Near Me - El Monte, California

Owner isn't very friendly, tried to make conversation once or twice, kinda just blew me off, prices are pretty high on the weekends, but all the other staff/refs are very cool and friendly. I appreciate them being open during the week but it's not worth overpaying on Saturday and Sunday, $30 for Friday is still overpriced but not as unreasonable as $45 on Sat & Sun. Great place to go during the week since they're open late and the prices Monday through Thursday aren't unreasonable at all. I like the field but it's too expensive to play consistently on weekends, it's better to play at bigger more populated fields on the weekend where the regulars don't play like they're getting a reward for it. One thing I will say, is all the reviews saying the staff are hostile, is wrong, they're not rude or dicks unless you do something wrong, just not outwardly friendly, which I'm not happy about but I can live with. read more

One of my favorite fields. Fast paced! Make sure and check your corners. Friday nights are always fun! Thank you for the memories and fun times! read more

Went for a few matches and had lots of fun cheap rentals but the employees are super rude when we checked in they guy asked us for 2 IDs and when we got a rental we had to choose collateral and he said "It must be a credit card or government ID" I was very angry but gave it to him overall the people/community are nice at Project N1 but the employees need work. read more

Love this place. Always so accommodating and they change up the format often enough to make repeat visits a no-brainer. Real high quality facility with lots of gear available plus the staff in there are super friendly and chill. Definitely recommend it for both first-timers and vets. read more

N1 is an amazing place to go to Airsoft is always fun there I went there a couple days ago and had some trouble with my pistol it was shooting above the limit then I met this guy named evr and he was able to help me solve my issue I had too long of a barrel so I got a shorte one and was able to pass crono and play I think he also might be a worker there so thank you evr for helping me with my problem read more

Checked this place out after not having played airsoft for a while ever since I moved to California. First indoor CQB field I've played at and always enjoyed coming here. Intense close quarters where you need to be aware of your surroundings. They change up the field layout every week which makes it interesting as you need to find different avenues of approach from the previous week. Love how there isn't any minimum engagement distance like other fields. No need for silly safety kills/ "bang bang" nonsense. Takes the intensity out of the game to have to worry about getting in trouble for shooting too close. Such a rewarding feeling to get the drop on enemy players. Snuck up behind some one and was behind him for a good 20 seconds or so before deciding I was going to shooting him in the butt check. I'm glad I did, was nice. Given some up close and personal shots but have received a lot more honestly. Got "Deemoed" by an enemy player last time I played haha (aka where they at bro moment). Guy snuck up right behind me and said that same line and before I could turn around he shot me in the back. I'm probably on some kill compilation on YouTube lol. It's an indoor area, deal with it. Can't speak for everyone but it encourages me to get better and learn from my mistakes from my experience in the jungle. For new players, might take some getting used to but I can see everyone getting more skilled in this environment. Need to be cautious but also can't be afraid to push up or else you'll most likely not have much fun. They've got some cool upgraded guns to buy and if there's any issues the staff are happy to help you out. They are extremely knowledgeable on tech work and can even make custom pistol holsters. Refs are chill and keep close eyes on anyone if they are suspected or cheating 10/10, would recommend if you want a solid airsoft experience with no BS. read more

Been coming here for a good minute now. Shout out to Gabe and the owner here for running good games here! Out of the 70 times I've been here, I've never had a bad experience ! read more

I've visited twice and had a great experience both times. N1 is a small field CQB field consisting of lots of small barriers with lots of different shooting lanes. It looks like they can move the barriers weekly providing variety on subsequent visits, but this is essentially just one field inside an old warehouse. However, I really enjoy cqb play so thiS was perfect. They technically have a 2nd outdoor field, but I wedged into the area behind the building taking up some of the parking lot area. It is very small and would probably only accommodate 6 v 6 or smaller games. It still looks fun, but I have yet to play any games there. My first visit I had just bought a new airsoft rifle and needed to swap springs to bring it within field limits. The tech/shop guy was friendly and let me borrow his tools as long as I stayed close. I don't expect that of the shop/field as I should have been responsible for my own gear so it was much appreciated. Additionally another player took time from his play to help me tech my gun. Although he wasn't a field employee, I want to give credit to the field for helping foster a friendly environment. Like most airsoft fields I've been to before, the experience has a lot to do with the players and how the field and refs manage games. The refs seemed to do a fine job keeping the games moving, but the nights I visited (Thursdays) the players were well behaved and I didn't see the refs need to moderate much. The proshop is adequate, but probably best suited for spare parts and necessities. I think they had snacks and drinks for sale at the proshop, but it was pretty incognito. The staging area is probably the part that could use the most work. It is setup outside with some bench style seats with no tables. In addition it is open to the parking lot area and if you leave your gear bag there it is exposed to the parking lot. It all feels very improvised. However the benefit of it being next to the parking lot is that you can essentially just stage from your car. I'm accustomed to outdoor fields and prefer this so I can lock up my gear when on the field. I can't really comment on how a beginner's experience may be as I was self equipped and played both paintball and airsoft before. However, the player environment was friendly. This facility is not as polished as TacCity, but it has its own charm that I appreciated. More of an Average Joe's than a Globo Gym. I would say this field is best for intermediate or experienced players. If you are an airsoft player that likes CQB, then you owe it to yourself to give this field a look. read more

Very bad customer service, came with a group of friends and the guy up front was very rude from the start (assuming he was the manager). Not sure of his name but he's an older guy with a beard. All the other staff were very respectful. read more

I looked up this place because my son wanted to go and celebrate his birthday with his friends doing something like this. I saw the website, liked it a lot. Since I don't know anything about airsoft I though "let me email them to ask questions, hopefully they respond" in less than 20 minutes boom! Reply form Jonathan, we went back and forth multiple times on emails while I kept asking questions. Jonathan was very helpful and made me feel less guilty about me emailing him multiple times asking multiple questions. About two weeks after I took my son and his 3 friends and I cannot tell you how much fun they had! The guys were super amicable and explained everything to my boys, tried to convince my husband and I to play, made jokes and answer questions for us and they even let us (after signing a waiver of course) be up there at the tower were we were able to see our kids play, it was so much fun to see them in action !!!!!! Safety is a must in the is place. Mask always on while in the field, covers on the guns when stepping out, etc, it was a very very nice and fun experience !!! read more

Project N1 - Get, Goods!!!! - Airsoft Near Me - El Monte, California

Owner is rude to everybody and the refs quite literally allow the players with memberships to blatantly cheat also the owner yelled at me and my brother after I asked them to take my gun in for tech for the third time since the last two times they never lowered the FPS on my gun like I paid them $80 to do When I took the gun to Evike their techs said any competent tech would've been able to install new buckings or replace the spring and lower the FPS but instead I had to keep coming back to get my gun serviced and when I did the owner began making excuses like cold weather messing up my FPS but cole weather wouldn't cause my FPS to jump from 345 to 400 I also have to mention how the owner tried his hardest to intimidate me and my brother by slamming his hand on the desk when we were trying to talk to him he and his cashier also began yelling at us and acting rude which caused me and my brother to have to awkwardly put them in their place DO NOT COME TO THIS FIELD THE STAFF IS RUDE AND ONLY HELPS THEIR MEMBERSHIP PLAYERS AND WILL LITERALLY TRY FIGHTING YOU read more

Awesome place. Extremely well ran. Very enjoyable experience. Will be going back regularly. Also very reasonably priced.

I went for the Meta Arms VR where you play 1v1 in VR. It was very fun and I had a great time with my friends.

I love this place the only downside is the traffic getting here! No BS just straight up good times. When someone cheats they nip it in the bud right away and none of the crap you have to deal with at other fields. Also no sissy engagement rules to cause issues. read more

Everyone seems pretty chill here, I've only gone twice at the time of this being posted. I must say the staff there was really chill and mixed things up to make the games interesting as far as team balancing goes. I would definitely recommend going here and also their prices are very affordable in my opinion. read more

I'm not surprised to see a good rating here with only 34 reviews. I would guess they are employees of this arena. If I could give this field less than a star I would. There was one person John that treated us like customers and had mutual respect however the other manager Jackie at the counter is lacking some basic communication skills and I believe is taking out his life frustration at work. His demeanor and tone is unlike anything I've ever dealt with. He talks to players like trash. Many of the players are also employees so the ref doesn't call them on anything. Meanwhile, after paying $80 we are treated terribly. They don't disclose that you can't video until you arrive. It's not listed anywhere online. BUT They will let you record if you fork over $80 per person. They charge you $5 for an air full but don't have the equipment to do it right. They are only using a compressor and can't seem to figure it out. UNLESS YOU ARE A REGULAR, Don't bother! It's a sketchy location but worst of all is the lack of tact and respect for the game. It's a shame. The community needs a better spot for sure! On to TAC City. read more

Amazing staff that were all extremely helpful and nice. Tried the Meta Arms VR experience and had a great time with my friends.

Very hospitable and fun place to come and play. Always fast paced and full of action to go around with. Never a dull moment playing here at all. Need I mention that there no engagement rules either, so always good to end who got who sooner in the field. read more

One of the best airsoft places in California, Friendly staff Reasonable rules Easy place to have fun and make friends read more

LIT! They provide everything for a low price and It's ALLDAY! (Except for the BB's which are very cheap and sold on spot) I went with my boys and it was legit. Rules were fair. Players and refs were honest. Staff was insightful and helpful. Games we're quality and medium/fast paced. All and all, when your running and ducking for cover with your bestfriend to your left and you and him gotta take out the rest of the enemy team, It's GO TIME! Things heat up! People gliding from wall to wall, people rolling and watching corners, everyone is suited up and gunning! Come here for an amazing experience, that really can only be had at the one and only, Project N1!!! read more

Project N1 - Airsoft Near Me - El Monte, California

Horrible waste of money and time. Do not spend anytime here it is ridiculous the way this garbage place is ran. Games take 45 mi tres to start on top of 30 minutes to check everyone and make sure they're good. Horrible service. Such a waste of time never coming here again. Came on a Thursday 5-10 and have only done 2 rounds and it's been 4 hours. I don't recommend this place at all. read more

NO MASKS ON STAFF. NO SOCIAL DISTANCING. BE RESPONSIBLE N1. Walked in to see if I can play around 6pm, price for entry was $10 more than listed on website. There was an event that was going on since 2? I thought they have 1-10pm but how can people overpay for less time when they haven't even started because of other events? I saw 2 people pack up after finding out they won't have enough time to play. Then overheard the rules/introduction being given. Sounded very unprofessional of the ref with regards to other fields/player attitudes. I should have stopped when I saw people not wearing masks but i tried to give them a chance. I can say this place is not following any Covid guidelines, that alone is why I'm giving them One Star. If this is airsofting in 2020, I can say that People were better behaved when Airsplat was around and never come here again. I expect better of people on staff, not to see people get grifted, and expect responsibility during a pandemic. You call them "Tac Shitty" but they have better Covid guidelines in place and have masks at all times. read more

The staff and employees here the most disrespectful and incompetent people you'll ever meet. The old chubby guy needs to learn how to fix his attitude, you'd think you were speaking to a 15 year old girl with the attitude that guy has. I didn't catch his name, but everybody will know who I'm talking about. I'm sure he's a manager or something, some out of shape guy with a grey beard. Overpriced snacks too? $2 for a snack, cmon now. The place is filled with regulars that cheat, so if you don't know the ref, you're screwed. Every employee will roll their eyes when you ask question, they will look so annoyed when you ask a question. They also don't enforce any rules, never seen a player be reprimanded. Good course, overpriced and HORRIBLE STAFF. Only one employee was polite and didn't act like a child. read more

I would give them one star only but I have had okay experiences here in the past. Going or gone downhill, they allow the children who frequent the park to break chrono rules, and shoot people with excessively high speed bbs. I didn't mind it as much when it was just me and my oldest, who can take the abuse in stride, but when my whole party of 8 people, mostly inexperienced kids and my girlfriend (she's 52) all came home with multiple broken skin wounds from high velocity rounds I am less understanding and more willing to use my precious time to write a review read more
