Proficiency Cleaning was recommended to me and Nikki/Nichole was very nice (3 Stars because Nikki showed up, came back once and did a good job). Initial cleaning for a 2B/2.5Bath Condo was over $250 (November 2023) with agreement for f/u cleanings for $165. Nikki only returned once (January 2024) for what was supposed to be a bi-monthly schedule secondary to " staff shortages and personal emergencies" (which I understand can happen). However, I was contacted by a gentleman after the last visit in January and was informed the company had to let go of a few customers and I was one of them - with the assurance that "when their situation improved" they would be happy to call me back. I needed my house deep cleaned. The ratings and written recommendations for proficiency cleaning were good. Therefore, I chose PC. I do not recommend them. They scheduled a deep clean for arrival 11-3 with a team of at least 2 people. When I questioned the arrival time and tried to explain, again, my house needed a lot of work, she said usual arrival time is 11-12. The extra time is padding for just in case. The day of the cleaning, one person arrived at 2:30pm. Her boss/scheduler told her nothing about the job. She told me her boss had bronchitis and apologized for not showing. Her boss did not call or text me as soon as she knew she could not work. She did not notify me of a change of plans ahead of time. The job had to be split over two days. This meant I had to change my weekend plans. And keep my dogs contained an extra day. Not the end of the world, but annoying . The deep clean was scheduled to include cleaning all of the walls including the vaulted ceilings as well as dusting off decorations on high shelves. Half the shelves and decorations were not cleaned. The vaulted ceilings were not cleaned. A few walls and baseboards and the area around a fireplace were missed. I am giving PC 2 stars because what was cleaned was well done. However, The scheduler did not listen to everything I needed done prior to scheduling. She did not communicate when she knew plans needed to change due to illness. They did not check to make sure everything was done before they left. I don't mind if plans need to change. Things happen. But it is rude and poor business to not communicate as soon as you know plans need to change. read more

This is rating is just for their customer service as I didn't get to use their services, but was really impressed with how Nicole, the owner, tries to work with all potential customers. I needed a last minute deep cleaning done for my relative's home that had been trashed by one of their tenants. Nicole was so accommodating. I was on a very limited schedule and needed someone to come on a specific day. She offered to work in the evening outside of her normal hours so that I could ensure a timely cleaning of the home. I found Proficiency Cleaning here on Yelp during an urgent cleaning crisis. My initial cleaner had just walked in on my Airbnb and found it filled with utter grossness and reeking of dog and cat urine. They pretty much refused to clean. I was transparent about the situation when sending out Yelp bids and Nicole responded and did not hesitate at all to take on the job. In fact, her initial conversation was that of sympathy and comfort during the stressful time as this was definitely a first for me! Upon arriving and assessing the home, Nicole's team became all encompassing. They were able to save some of my furniture and curtains, address removal of the couch (was saturated in urine), do touch up paint. Again, it took the stress away of having to find someone to take care of all these things as I am out of state. It did take just about 2 days to fully clean and deodorize the home, but they got it done. On top of that, Nicole communicated the entire time with fair pricing to compensate her team prior to any additional work being done so that I would not be blindsided. I ended up visiting the home just a few days after and wow, You would have never noticed how bad the home was ! I am just beyond thankful for the TLC they put in to their work and the genuine care & honesty Nicole provided without taking advantage of my situation. . If I could give 10 stars, I would! Nicole was totally awesome! On time and professional was just the beginning. She was terrific. When we finally got everything out of the house I realized just how much I needed help with the move-out cleaning. Nicole went back home to get her carpet cleaner/steamer and worked doubly hard to remove pet and traffic stains. That was without me telling her in the beginning that I would need carpet help. She always had a smile on her face regardless of what needed done. I wish there were more words available to tell you just how terrific she was. After making arrangements online, Nikki was good about confirming her visit, and was even able to come a little earlier than the agreed time. And, WOW, does she work!!!!! I needed help getting my house clean prior to staging it and putting it on the market. Lots of detailed cleaning, and she did such a great job. She even stayed past the four hours scheduled so that we could get it done. It was so good to have someone who saw what the needs were and did them. She was great at pointing out areas that wouldn't come clean and that need touch up paint. She also cleaned behind the appliances. Quite a yucky job, but she did it in short order. Then, before she left, she helped me take all the stuff that I had to donate out of the garage to where it needed to be for pick up. She's so sweet and clearly likes what she does.
