Turns out it will be an easy fix, but most relevant to this review is what the foundation rep said about the state of my crawl space. I called on a Tuesday and was able to schedule an appointment for Friday with an exact time - none of that "your appointment window is 1pm to 8pm, SO BE HOME FOR SEVEN HOURS STRAIGHT" bullshit. Brian from Proctor showed up on time, sprayed our home (conveniently while the baby was away at grandma's house) and was out in a jiffy. When we asked about him coming back once per quarter, he turned us down and said we don't need it. He'll come back later in the fall. I LOVE honesty. It's so rare these days. He also sprayed our yard for fleas, ticks and mosquitoes after we told him about finding a possible tick on our dog Shadow. Although we sit on a larger lot and our house square footage is in his "large house" bracket, he didn't up-charge us. So thankful I listened to these other Yelp reviews! After hearing something scurrying in my attic I called a big pest control company who told me I had a rat infestation and that it would cost $6000 to fix it. I thankfully called Proctor for a second opinion and Brian came out and was very kind and honest. He sad I had a very mild rat problem and he laid some bait down to get the pest. He was very courteous even going up and down my attic stairs as quietly as possible since I had told him my daughter was napping. The total was very reasonable - under $100. If I could give them 10 stars, I would..If your like me, you think most pest companies and the insecticide they use are pretty much the same. Not so! A lot of them use cheap, ineffective chemicals to save money. Or are not knowledgable about types of treatments. I had a HUGE problem with outdoor ants (also coming inside) Over several years time, many companies came out to treat and there was only a slight improvement, if any. I found Proctor Pest Control on Yelp and called based on reviews. I spoke with Bryan and he came out the next day. He is not only professional but truly cares about the customer. This is a family business so unlike a chain, you will not get nickeled and dimed or any sales pitch for contracts. Now, for the best part...NO MORE ANTS!
