Our roof was mainly asphalt with a PVC section and needed plywood to be added on top of the old ship lap. It also needed venting - which can be tricky- especially providing intakes on a 1940s house. All this was included in the quote. They had no problem adding 2 skylights with no upcharge-save the cost of the skylights themselves. The team is up to date and educated on the latest advances and details of techniques. I am so thankful to have found Three Tree. I have worked with contractors extensively on two old properties over 20 years, and Three Tree was probably the best. Prior to hiring them I talked with my former roofer - who now only does very high end work(John Michael Roofing). He has seen many roofs and said Three Tree does good quality work. Orca was NOT the cheapest option nor the most expensive option, they ended up being middle of the road. I decided to go with them because Chris was VERY THOROUGH and explained EVERYTHING to me. The crew came out and knocked it out of the park, literally took them 2.5 days and it was done. This was back in June 2025, we are currently in the heart of winter and have had some serious rainy days and EVERYTHING's been GREAT, NO LEAKS, NO ISSUES! Fast forward to February 2026, I was so impressed by their service and workmanship I called them when the roof at my own house started to leak. (The leak was NOT because of age but the shotty workmanship from our builder Connor Homes.) I spoke to Chris again and he set me up with Peter. Mike quoted both to repair and to replace, and we got an honest opinion that replacing was better given the age and possibility for more leaks. We also went with them because their quote was competitive and we liked the Certainteed Presidential TL product they offered. Their crew showed up on time on the agreed upon day and quickly removed the old roof and installed the new one. We love the look of the Presidential TL, it adds an elegance to our house that stands out compared to our neighbors, and we've received many compliments. My only suggestion to Cornerstone is to improve their communication. For example, it was forecast to rain most of the week before our install. Rather than me calling to ask if our install was still on schedule, it would have been nice to get a proactive call from them assuring us of that fact. Also, the install crew was very nice and professional, but on the 2nd day after they were done they just disappeared without a word. I would have appreciated a knock on the door to say they're done and that another guy would stop by next week to do the final cleanup and touch-ups (instead I called to ask if they were truly done and why there were still nails and debris in our yard). Personally I think over-communication to the customer would be preferred with a project of this size.
