They gave me a price of $2800 to rebuild my transmission calls back in 1 day after he takes my transmission out saying your transmission is no good and now it's $6800 after telling him I didn't have $6800 to spend on the truck after saying let me see what I can do I was just going to buy a used one the next morning at 8:00 a.m. he was calling me saying your truck is done service was terrible on top of that it looks like he just fixed mine and sprayed the bottom of the transmission gray to make it look new when I asked him how did he do all of that within 24hrs he got mad I'm very unsatisfied with the job and the price

    Terrible service

This establishment and staff is a joke and needs to be shut down/investigated for its scams that they do to their customers. My father brought in his car months ago to get his transmission replaced. All that was done to the car was the transmission taken in and out and new transmission oil put in and they wanted to charge us thousands and thousands of dollars for "labor". They have held the car hostage for months on end and refused to release it to him unless he paid almost two thousand dollars for simply taking the bad transmission out and putting it back in. WE PAID $1,500 FOR THE KEYS BACK TO THE CAR WITH THE SAME BAD TRANSMISSION. And after paying that, we were asked to pay $375 MORE ON TOP OF THAT. The owner and the stupid staff need to be charged with fraud. I've also added a picture to show how professional they are!!! Worst place in the whole valley. Take my advice and spend your time, money, and peace of mind somewhere else

DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE! Classic Bait and Switch PLUS false advertising! "Best Warranty in Arizona - 3 years or 36,000 Miles for ALL rebuilt and repaired transmissions" - Right?...Sure, Ok... that they do NOT honor. Paid for a rebuilt transmission 10 months ago, and it went to s*** after 10 short months, and they refused to honor the warranty that is on their website. Do not waste your money. Utter incompetence. I'm betting all the positive reviews are fake.

Tailhouse bushing was not replaced as indicated. You can see the scoring of the old bushing.

Without indicating there was ANY cost involved whatsoever, Front Desk Guy sweetly asked "would you like us to give it a once-over?" Which, since I was at that time a regular customer, I THOUGHT that meant just give it a safety-check out of courtesy to a repeat, publicly complimentary, senior-citizen client that they maybe cared for! How wrong I was. After having it several days, they tell me that they can't fix the original problem because they "Couldn't find the part - and wouldn't install an after-market part off of Ebay" (My car is a 1999 w/ low mileage) Then the real Clinker after 3 days: They call and say, "We couldn't fix your problem, but come and get your truck and pay Christian Bro's nearly $200 bucks for a "diagnostic" that I WAS NOT INFORMED UP FRONT would cost anything at all! But also, this 'Diagnostic' informs me that my truck needs OVER $4300 DOLLARS in servicings and repairs - Including NEW BRAKES that, apparently the "Diagnostic expert" wasn't aware had been replaced by them on that very truck a few months earlier! I felt totally taken advantage of and complained to the manager, John, who gave me some "yada yada" and stated that that particular employee working the front desk was fired - However, and this is the whole point of the story - This manager of this multi-million dollar, allegedly 'Christian', gold-mine on the corner of Thunderbird & 75th Ave would NOT refund all, or any part, of this deceitful charge with a humble apology for their unscrupulous employee (note: Failure to disclose a COST right up front is a LIE ) Not only that, but Upsell #1 opened the door for MEGA-UPSELL #2 of $4,319 dollars! I STILL look back at this lengthy report with shock and awe. According to this diagnostic that I didn't ask for, there's no reason, whatsoever, my truck is still able to roll down the street. According to them, practically EVERYTHING on my vehicle is on it's last couple of miles.; Lastly, and final insult to my patronage, my age, my intelligence, nor would Christian Brothers even offer a discount or a half-off on the next visit to them. You know, a way of saying, "We still want your business". I think they saw a senior-woman and saw a dumb sucker ready to be plucked out of the stream of suckers. In that lone experience, I learned Christian Brothers is all about "Show me the $ MONEY $" They are only after the money, and customer retention is completely moot. They could care LESS if you are a returning customer. I am no longer using Christian Brothers for any auto repair needs. If anyone knows of an HONEST, caring, competent auto mechanic around Peoria/Glendale please be so kind as to DM me. I'm shopping for one. **I tried to scan & copy the actual Invoice from this incident, but for some technological mystery beyond me - I couldn't get this file search in Yelp to access where I am sure I put the two files.**

Well, I was right in the middle of a job needing it for a long haul when it began acting up really bad. It would chug at stop lights and it was behaving like it wasn't getting fuel... and it finally even died on me. Well, thank god I was able to get it to a local mechanic and when calling all my friends on who they would use, many of them cited the same place and it was Scott Repmans off Bell. Especially because I've got a diesel and I know they require a special touch. Well, not only was I expecting the bill to be much higher but I honestly wasn't expecting to get it back until Thursday or even Friday. Turns out it was a sensor for the accelerator and they had it ready for pickup on Monday by 3pm! It drives BETTER than even before the problems began and I now know where to take it for my tune-up and maintenance like oil changes. Super thrilled with this place and will recommend them along with my buddies now.

The company was sending their customer home paying for the Uber ride since the car was staying overnight. The parking lot was full and my passenger was happy with their service. I needed to replace my Wife's car AC cabin fan and radiator fan. I bought the parts at the dealer expecting to do the repair myself. After watching YouTube videos I decided someone with actual skill and experience needed to do the job. I made an appointment through Yelp. The repair took about three hours. I was happy when they called with the request to proceed after testing that they did not try to up sell me on other repairs, just I was right that the fan motors were bad. When I picked up the repaired car, they did have a list of issues and discussed the importance of repairing each. Most were just fine right now but watch for issues in the future. They did say there was a split hose from the engine air filter to the engine which needed replacing sooner than later. Since I do the routine maintenance on my cars at home they suggested buying a new hose and installing it myself. They were happy to do it but said that part was easy to replace. I also appreciate they returned the replaced parts without me asking. First repair and I'm impressed. I posted on an Uber driver facebook group about the company. One driver replied they don't go Cha-Ching when a female walks in. Everything about my first repair was transparent and fully discussed before the repair and when I picked up.

My oldest daughter was about to take her road test. A/C in her car went out. I'd heard that Aamco did free A/C diagnostics, and we were close to this one, so we stopped by. I expected a long wait, or to have to make an appointment and come back. They looked at it right away. They showed me where they saw the issue. Told me they needed to get parts, and they'd call me with a quote. Got the call, dropped the car off the next afternoon. Picked it up early the following morning, with ice cold A/C blowing. But that's not even the best part (BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE!). Today was my daughter's road test. And her driver's side window wouldn't roll down. That had never happened before. They told her she couldn't take the test if the window didn't roll down. I tried do do what I could (which wasn't much). We happened to be pretty close to the Aamco, so I figured what the heck... drove over real quick. Asked if they might be able to do me a favor and look at it. Popped the door panel off, bypassed the switch, and got the window rolled down. No charge. Told us to come back after the road test and he'd get it back up. I told him that wasn't necessary, but he insisted... especially because the forecast calls for some rain over the next day or two. So she did the test (and passed!), and we headed back. Once again, popped the door panel off, bypassed the switch, and rolled the window up. Once again, no charge. Said he was happy to help, and congratulated my daughter on passing the test. Who even does that anymore? Who gives away services for free just to be nice? Not nearly enough people/businesses do. It wasn't even the fact that they didn't charge us. It was them understanding that we were in a bind (road tests are by appointment), and making the effort to help out. There were other cars up on the lifts. They had other things to do. But they understood that we needed some help, and time was a factor. I can't express my gratitude enough. Today was a big day for my daughter. And it ended well. But it could have ended very differently than it did. The biggest reason that it did not go badly? The folks at this Aamco. Thanks again. See you soon.

When I picked up my car, the cruise control was no longer working. When I brought this to their attention, I was met with skepticism, as if my concern wasn't valid. That was frustrating, especially since I know my vehicle and how it was operating prior to service. They asked to keep the car for further inspection, which I agreed to. A couple of days later, they informed me the issue had been "fixed." However, when I asked what the problem was, I was told it was the cruise control switch. What raised serious concerns for me was what came next. When I asked for documentation or a repair record, I was told there was none--because the mechanic had paid for the part out of his own pocket. That explanation simply does not sit right. If a repair was performed, there should always be documentation--regardless of who paid for the part. Transparency is basic professionalism. The lack of paperwork, combined with the fact that the system was working before my visit, strongly suggests something happened while the vehicle was in their care. More disappointing than anything was that no one took responsibility, and no apology was offered. Mistakes can happen in any shop--but honesty and accountability matter. Because of this experience, I will not be returning.

Got the truck back after 6…read moreweeks and it was not shifting correctly, it was going into limp mode, un-drivable and also leaking transmission fluid badly. Long story short I took the truck back in several times trying to correct the problems, each time it was there for weeks at a time and they shipped the truck off to some other location each time as well and would not tell me where it was. each time it came back with new scratches, filthy inside and still not correctly fixed. They kept telling me how "complicated" this transmission was and claiming that the TCM was no good and supposedly replaced that a few times claiming each time they received a bad part again....it was an absurd nightmare. finally they seemed to have it fixed, it lasted about a month then started slipping again pretty frequently, since the check engine light was not coming on I was told there was nothing wrong and to "just drive it like that" I did not want to take it in again so I did just drive it like that for almost 3 years slipping between 3rd and 4th consistently. It finally fully broke again. It was still under their warranty but my experience with them was so bad and I was so tired of not having a correctly working transmission that I went out of pocket and payed another shop to do the work (cost me $7200) somehow the new place was able to do the work in less than a week , replaced the broken transmission and all components and everything works perfectly. Dealing with Anthem was a truly horrible experience, I do not know how this place can even be in business. Steve and his wife come off as friendly at first but the second anything goes wrong or you DARE to call and check in on your vehicle that has been there for weeks or months the shitty attitude shows up, dismissive , talk over you , dont listen, pretend to completely forget who you are...you name it. They should not own a business, they do not have integrity and should have never ever allowed me to go thru such an ordeal. I am glad it is over and will never go there again.
