Very satisfied! My review is a little late, but they definitely deserve it. I got married in May of this year and 6-weeks out from my wedding date is when I finally picked my dress. Unfortunately, the only size the bridal shop had was 2 sizes too big for me. I called no joke probably 10 different tailor shops and they all told me it's too late they need 10 weeks or they we going to charge crazy rush fees. When I found Pro Tailor they said bring it in and we'll make it happen. To make me even more of a worried bride the week before our wedding I changed the heels I plan to wear for the wedding and (which were shorter heels by 2-inched) so I was freaking out and called them asking if it was at all possible to altar it before next week he said bring it in we will make it work. They got it altered in 2 days and my dress was perfect! I did pay a good amount for all of the alterations, but for the turn around time it was worth it! I was really disappointed in this place. I had high hopes after reading all the reviews that this place was going to be awesome. But after paying $600 for alterations I still ended up having to go to a different seamstress to fix mistakes that Pro Tailor had made as well as to actually incorporate what I wanted for my wedding dress. So I highly recommend not going here to save yourself from mental and financial stress. The manager was also extremely rude over the phone when I called to discuss the fact that I ended up going to a different seamstress to fix his mistakes and hung up on me. I've driven past Pro Tailor a million times and dreamed of going in, but always made excuses: "It will take too long. It will be too expensive. I don't know what they can do or how to ask for it." Finally, after letting a lined wool jacket sit in my closet for two years without wear because it felt too boxy, I bit the bullet and brought it in. And as it turns out, all of my anxiety was for naught: the complex alteration only took 3 days, cost just $30, and the staff was able to take one look at the fit and tell *me* how it should be altered to achieve the best look. I came here for a bridesmaid dress and they did a fantastic job! All that was needed was a hem and shortening of a beaded strap and they hit the mark. It came out to about 99 bucks with tax which I think is still a bit pricey, but much better than the other place I had gone to for another dress. The gentlemen who "helped" me was rude as hell. He was extremely friendly to all the other guest in the store. I should mention I'm a very sort spoken and shy person that tries everything in my power to avoid confrontation. At first I assumed it was because it was my first time in there and I tend to dress like I'm homeless, but when I returned I was polite and he was still curt. I asked if he could extend the shoulders of one of my favorite coats and he told me to by a new coat (I found a tailor close by who will do this). First time going to a tailor and I brought my wedding dress, so needless to say I was nervous! Andrew met with me before hours so we wouldn't be rushed and I really appreciated that. I needed to have my bodice completely taken in and even asked for some of the tulle to be taken out of my skirt( it was a hard thing to do because he almost had to take my dress apart to give me what I wanted and the most expensive part of my alterations but something that I insisted on). OMG Andrew saved the best day of my life! Writing this review brings tears to my eyes! I bought my wedding dress and selected one of their recommended tailors to do the alterations. Considering this is my first and only time I will ever be buying a wedding dress I trusted the bridal shop to direct me in the right direction! Wrong! The lady butchered my dress and damaged it so bad I had a panic attack - holes in the lace, uneven hems, torn lace in the waist line and threads sticking out everywhere. She had 4 months & 6 visits to finish my dress. Everything I heard is that most tailors will not touch a dress altered by someone else, but Andrew was willing to in order to save the day!! He fixed all her mistakes and then had to go back to do all the necessary alterations I originally requested - length, taking it in and shaping the bust area + more. He is amazing and has a way to calm you down and insure that everything will be ok! Him and his team stayed late 2 nights in a row to get my dress completed. I went to him on Monday and he got it back to me on Wednesday in time for me to leave for my wedding weekend on Thursday. AMAZING!!!! read more

Took a pair of pants in to have the waist let out about and inch. Got the length extended an inch too. Was quoted $30, which seemed high but I didn't have time to shop around. When I went back to collect and try them on, the waistline was messed up. The owner blamed the construction of the pants but said that they could make an adjustment to fix it. Okay, no problem. Except then he charged me an additional $12. I said that charging extra would be inappropriate and unfair, but he insisted. So $42 in total for some small alterations. The owner chose to overcharge me rather than offer proper customer service. I won't be back. read more

I've tried this place a few times, but never again. The first was to alter a bridesmaid dress. The sides were taken in how I wanted, but the straps were shortened too much, more than what was pinned when I tried it on. Given such good Yelp reviews, I wanted to try them again to get several button down dickies shirts taken in for a work convention uniform. Thinking, these are just shirts, how can they screw that up?!? I had 4 nearly identical shirts. After pinning the first completely (intention to make 4 cuts per shirt), I had great hope. The other three shirts only received one cut pinned. It took over a week and tailoring costs totaled more than the shirts cost! The one with all cuts pinned fit okay, but it was not as fitted as it was when pinned. The other three didn't appear to have any work done at all. I took them back; at first they protested to do any work. After some persistent demands, he took them to redo at no charge, which is the only reason for 2 and not 1 star review. Even after the 2nd attempt those 3 shirts are still baggy. read more

I got my wedding dress on June 19th from the designer I bought it from and needed alterations as soon as possible because my wedding date was soon approaching (July 27th). I brought my wedding dress to two other locations one in Fort Worth and another in Arlington on June 20th Both places turned me down because they said it would take 5-7 weeks to do it with multiple fittings. I then walked into Pro Tailor and was immediately greeted by Andrew. I told him I have tried to take it to other places and they said they couldn't do it. He immediately said they could do it and could get it done in a week. I was shocked! I tried on my dress and he did the fittings/changes needed while carrying on conversations with me. He is absolutely amazing and is a great example of how a family owned business should be ran. Andrew also remembers people's names from the time before which allows him to be more personable. I got by dress back the following Thursday (one week) and tried it on and it was perfect!. This company deserves more than 5 stars they were absolutely amazing. Andrew is hands down the best tailor I've dealt with. I used Men's Warehouse before I found Pro Tailor and Pro Tailor does better work for less than half as much as well as completing the work in half the time. I just dropped off my 3rd and 4th suit that I've had them work off and will continue to use Pro Tailor for all my suits. I honestly don't understand the poor reviews every time I go in there the other customers seem genuinely happy and I've seen a couple of brides in there. If you can make a bride happy about her dress with her wedding around the corner, obviously you're doing something right. I dropped off two suits during what I assume was prom season and they had both pairs of pants and the coats done within 3 days PERFECTLY. Andrew is the man and will take care of you. If you are in a rush just let him know and he will gladly put a rush on it while also doing great work to make sure you don't have to come back for the same piece. read more
