I was referred here by "Whatchmacallit", a formal dress shop. They send all their customers here. Getting a referral made me confident that they knew what they were doing. My next concern was how much it was going to cost! I needed a simple alteration and didn't want to pay an arm and a leg. My simple alteration ended up needing more work. I went in to get straps shortened on a formal dress. To get it to fit right, they needed to cut the back off the dress and cut the zipper. So for all that and to shorten the straps it was still only $60! They did a great job, my dress looks awesome!! I would recommend anyone here! read more

Andrew glanced my way on his way to another customer and said the torn lining would be too small if repaired, didn't look at the other skirt which needed a new zipper. I was shocked at his rudeness and unwillingness to help. I have taken 5 prom dresses there for altering since 2016 and have spent a minimum of $200 for each dress, not including tip. My daughter got taken an inch in on her dress, simple alteration and was charged 70.00 dollars. Her friend had straps taken up on her dress and was charged 40.00 dollars . Andrew works MIRACLES. I bought a wedding dress from a consignment shop and it needed some MAJOR alterations - for one thing, it was made for someone about a foot taller than me! The skirt had some beautiful filigree designs going down the length, and delicate scalloping on the bottom, and I was worried what it would look like once they hemmed it for me. I shouldn't have worried at all! They were able to remove some of the filigree to keep it from looking too busy, AND remove and reattach the scalloping to the bottom! You wouldn't have even known it had been done! Aside from that, I loved working with Andrew - he will tell it like it is and that is a GOOD thing when you are trying to look your best on your big day. He will make sure you not only look great, but feel great too. He has a great eye, amazing taste, and knows how to work with your shape. I cannot recommend them highly enough! read more

I've had better tailors. They got my gown done in 7 days which is quick. They did a fine job. Not impeccable, but acceptable. I paid $113 for a hem that was still too long (I had to hold up my dress while I was walking around all night"darts" in the chest to secure my boobs, and a button to close the neckline. Coming from San Diego, that is very expensive--twice as much as I would have paid my old seamstress. The tailor who measured and pinned me wasn't particularly friendly or kind. Only measured one side and said they would match the other side and rushed me along. Rushed me at checkout. I had my husband pick up my gown for me. Will probably search for a different tailor next time. read more

I brought my wedding dress here to be altered before my wedding. My dress has several layers and lace sleeves and is a bit complicated. Andrew was very knowledgeable and helpful in making alterations to help the patterns align perfectly! I was told to take my dress to a tailor and expect the alterations to take up to 12 weeks, from the time I first took my dress in, to when I picked it up when it was completely finished, it took 3.5 weeks.
