Our search for an honest company led us to West Coast, and we hoped the reviews were true. The good news is, West Coast is as honest as it gets. Askia came out and looked around the attic while I watched from the ladder. First, he showed me that the supposed mildew was some sort of harmless sandy clay-ish material. And the supposed black mold was just "lumber mold", an industry term for "stain fungi"--the common dark streaks in lumber that originate at the sawmill or in the forest, don't weaken the lumber, and are not indications of moisture. Who knew? Well, Askia knew. And he actually spent time convincing me that we didn't need their services. So do I recommend them to you? You betcha! An honest company is a joy to find.

You call a plumber for a leak...they recommend a water damage company, who then recommends a GC...and everything is inflated for insurance purposes. Sometimes the homeowner is part of the scam too. This is one of many reasons why insurance is skyrocketing. I had a HVAC condensation line leak in my house. I did not like the suggested plumbers from my home warranty company so I called a highly rated local guy. I will give him a separate review. But they recommended Express Dry and with a situation I never experienced before, I listened to the plumber and Express Dry and it was a stupid mistake. For this simple leak they wrecked my master bath tile, wrecked my hardwood floors, wrecked drywall and baseboard with staples (for the plastic sheeting) and per every GC I interviewed afterwards for repair estimates, all of it was unnecessary. See photos. The wood cuts they made were over the top and if they had done that part professionally, I could have repaired that part myself with remnant wood in the garage. All of the (most likely) unneeded drying machines used gave me a $600 electrical bill, even with solar, and I was forced into an unneeded asbestos report. All of it to over bill insurance. If I ever have a leak again I would handle it so differently. Not every leak needs this amount of response. Not recommended and find yourself a trusted repair person to ask questions about when stuff like this occurs

The sales rep even got on the phone and assisted in opening the insurance claim by getting on the phone with my insurance and not identifying himself as the Mighty Dry Sales rep, which I'm not sure if that's conflict of interest. In my case my insurance denied my claim, now I am left with a huge bill from Might Dry. My emails and my phone calls to their billing department continue to be ignored since 8/25/26.

Suddenly all heck breaks loose and you've now got several walls full of water. After realizing exactly what I had done (the fire alarm helped me understand), I called around all the big name companies that do this sort of water damage repair. The quotes I got were ridiculously HIGH. I decided to go local and gave Moe and his team (read: family) a call. Not only could they fit me into their schedule quickly, but they are also a one stop shop, meaning, when they leave your house, it looks just like it did before you broke your sprinkler pipe. Most of those big name companies require you to get someone else to do the drywall/painting part. All the Mold Safe guys that worked on the job were not only related to each other, they were also great workers and great people. They kept everything clean and showed up when they said they would. They kept me in the loop as to what was being done and explained anything I asked questions about. They dried the walls, cut out and replaced the wet drywall and added the matching orange peel texture when they did the final painting. Color matched, perfect finish. And when Ted was finished fixing the hole in the stucco left by the sprinkler system guy (yeah, it has to be a certified professional who fixes anything to do with your sprinkler system, not just any plumber), he went around my house with the left over spackle and fixed several other stucco dings in my house. Above and beyond. Like I said at the beginning, you really don't want to ever have to call these guys, but if you do find yourself in this sort of a situation, don't risk the mold, just call Moe. There's a reason they have dozens and dozens of 5 star reviews here. Highly recommended.

This was due to the company overbooking. When questioned, Moe pointed to a vague fine print in the agreement saying it could take up to 15 days. I mentioned not being able to accommodate an extension due to being pregnant and prepping for a deployment. Stated advance notice would've been appreciated. Moe did not handle things professionally, had a family member text me insults, then threatened to quit knowing it was breach of contract. Moe then said he only wanted to talk to the man of the house, who wasn't remotely involved in hiring or payment. Makes sense there were two other lawsuits with this company now. Rest of his team was great, polite, and hard working. Moe and his communication was the only issue. Edit: Happy to add receipts. Not one single disrespectful comment was made to anyone at your company. You flew off the rails.
