I had been putting off installing an automatic gate for years because I could not find a contractor that could do all the work required to install a gate. I was recommended to use Roger of Pro Gates and it was the best recommendation I have ever received. From start to finish Roger did everything he said he would and did it on time. I was redoing my driveway which is asphalt to the gate and concrete inside of the gate. The gate construction had to be coordinated between 3 contractors. I had a meeting of all three, each stated their needs as far as the gate was concerned and each carried out their jobs without any conflicts and did it promptly and properly. Roger ran electrical down to the gate, built the pilasters and walls, built the gate, had it galvanized, painted it and installed it with the finest hardware available, top quality commercial grade openers, installed the lights on the pilasters, installed the required fire department opener, installed the best system (Doorbird) to open by the use of our phones and supplied openers for each of our vehicles and tractors. I just cannot recommend Roger of Pro Gates any higher, if I did, I would have to marry him. He just not my type, but if you want a trouble free, hassle free on time job, you cannot do better. Sadly, I have to warn customers about this company. I hired Rojelio to install a LiftMaster gate operator. About 6 months later a Best Buy delivery driver drove into my gate and bent the post, ripped the elect eye off of the post, and bent operator arms. I paid Rojelio about $2k (way too expensive) to make repairs. After completion I asked for a letter indicating ProGates would not warranty the work on the operator because there was no way to verify it was as new. They refused. So, if the operator breaks a few months from now the replacement will be at my expense because ProGates won't write a simple, honest letter. Speaking with LiftMaster, they indicated their installers would write a letter to that effect. Hire a professional installer. It won't cost you any more and if you have a problem they'll stand behind their work. read more

Finally! This is a long overdue review, but I want to say that Roger was able to repair our gate. He is very competent in what he does. I had a horrible experience with a previous service and was reluctant to have Roger take a look. He was able to get our gate going in a timely manner. We decided to add a driveway gate and obtained about 6 estimates. Pro-Gates was one of the more expensive contractors but we decided to go with Pro-Gates (Roger F.) because he took all the time necessary to explain every step and the options available. Roger worked with us all along the way and even when we needed to make a couple of changes during the installation. Part of the driveway gate installation included Roger installing two rock pillars on either side of the our driveway. The installation was complicated by a slanting and slopping driveway with a crown. Roger worked with us to split the difference in the pillar heights / plumb of the top of the gate to produce a driveway entry gate that was very aesthetically pleasing! We also had a complication with the side fence leading up to the pillars and the pedestrian gate. Here again Roger worked with us to plan out the installation so that we ended up with a functional yet very aesthetically pleasing driveway gate.
