Our garage door started acting up. I send a message on yelp and Frank was able to fit the job in the next morning. He was very helpful and let me know what was wrong with the garage right away. We had some shoddy work done a few years ago when the spring was replaced. (Incorrect parts and all that), that was slowly coming undone and hazardous. Thankfully, he was able to fix it before the spring totally dislodged and hurt someone badly. Great guy to work with. Would recommend to anyone in the area. read more

Fred was extremely helpful when I called, giving me his personal cell to send pictures so he could help figure out which springs I needed for our door. He was willing to come out and give us a free estimate before I was contacted back by our original garage door company. Even when I texted to thank him and to let him know services were no longer needed, he still called me to follow up and make sure that everything was good. Thank you so much for your time, knowledge and integrity, highly recommend! read more

Talk about a fast response! My 12 year old garage door cabling came apart last night, I sent a message and within a few minutes received a response for Fred and he knew right away what it was. I am in AMR and he has been in our community A LOT repairing the cheap garage door systems. He was out the next morning and changed the entire system over to a large spring system in less than two hours! This is also a Veteran run business! read more

Honest quote before job start, diligent work with no mess, and a repair got me running again with a new motor, springs, and wheels for much quieter and smoother operation. Great conversation too. Saw the great Yelps when my garage door busted a spring, and called Fred, who said that he could be out the very next morning, wow! However, we had a day trip already planned, so we set it up for the following morning, and in the meantime, Fred wisely advised not to use the door at all, to prevent door damage. (We'd been able to override the "up" trajectory by simply holding down the button, but Fred said "bad idea" basically, saving us from further expense.) Fred showed up about 30 minutes earlier than we first expected , so he's just lucky I took an early shower, or would not have heard the doorbell. Anyhow, he was a chatty guy who could actually hold a conversation, how refreshing. Yet he didn't not try to upsell us or add any extra charges. Really liked the guy and already recommended him to my x street neighbor. Fred is definitely 2 thumbs up. He just doesn't work past 1 pm (who can blame him?) and seems chronically early. Great service, great value. read more

Our garage suddenly wasn't opening and we realized the garage spring was broken. I requested a quote via Yelp and Fred was very quick to respond! Decided to proceed with his services because he was available to fix the garage spring same day plus he's a veteran like my bf! After he replaced the spring, we were having issues with the motor -- Fred noticed it was due to the safety lock box not connecting to the motor. After ordering the parts, he came back a few weeks later to replace it. Other misc notes: - He always arrived 10-15 min early -- just wanted to notate that incase you're not home during the scheduled time. - Takes Zelle, not Venmo - Will provide an invoice as needed read more

One of our garage door cables got detached and ended up causing our door to not open/close properly. We were in need of a repair as soon as possible and ended up calling Old Town Garage. Fred quickly came to our place on a Sunday morning to help us with our issue. Great customer service for all your garage door needs Fred's the man! My spring snapped while the door was closed. It made the door super heavy to open I couldn't lift it alone. He added an additional torsion spring so the door will still be manageable if the springs were to fail again. He did an amazing job! While he was here he noticed the bottom bracket where the cable attaches was broken and he replaced it as well. Great prices isn't out to gouge you. I got a few quotes prior to calling Old Town Garage and what made me choose them was that they weren't trying to up sell you they kept it reasonable & honest. If I could give Old Town Garage 20 stars I would. I damaged my garage door badly when backing out and called Old Town Garage based on the good reviews. Fred came out right away and pulled my door, that I thought was totaled, back into place! Because he pulled it into place, he saved me from having to spend thousands of dollars on a new garage door. Reached out to this company in the morning and a few hours later they were out to diagnose the issue I had with my garage door. Fred took his time explaining what needed to be fixed and also took the time to make sure that the measurements were accurate because of the storage racks I have installed on the ceiling of the garage. Following morning, they came back and fixed the issue. I cannot stress enough how great the communication, attention to detail, and the workmanship this company provided for my home.
