I take my pants here to get them hemmed. They always do a really good job. I once told them I needed my pants right away and they had them done for me in two hours. They have a small changing room so you can try on your clothes and have them mark it where you need it altered. The staff is also very friendly. I got a suit back and it's not what I expected. The wife said the suit sits "big and boxy" Basically I got the suit for next to nothing new although it was a 46L and I wear a 43R. I figured I'll just spend the money to get it fitted. Since the suit was so big he couldn't take in as much as was needed on the sides. This is what I was told AFTER I paid and went to pick it up so what was measured in the store and what I got was 2 different things. I also noticed the pants are a bit loose in the waist and the sleeves are a little long. Basically during the fitting he didn't measure anything he simply had me put the suit on and pinned it where he said it needs to go. The fit isn't horrible, but a half inch here and there would really help. Also on the sleeves since it was a Long he cut about 3 inch off. However he didn't taper the sleeve so now I have a HUGE bell type of cuff where my sleeve ends and it looks silly. Well off to the next guy to see if he can do a better job this time. read more

So I went in and asked how much he'd charge to taper a pant and it was really hard for him to even give a ballpark figure. Then he says 5 or 10 dollars. I'm like that's great! So I get fitted and then he says it will be 35$ He got the job done in two days and it's well done but not good worth for your money. When I picked up my dress, another gentleman had also just picked up his pants and he had also found the place on Yelp... he was extremely pleased with the workmanship on his pants. On the dress, I had a budget to stick to as I was probably only going to wear it once... so it was nice that the owner offered me options and still did a wonderful job. This company is awesome. I was really in a timing bind and needed some alterations fast. The service was great. The gentleman that helped me was really nice and got the job done really quick. The negative - I wouldn't go here again. First of all they only take cash and they are rather expensive. Secondly, I insisted that my suit jacket arms were the correct length and the owner insisted they were not and said they needed to be extended (for $30 of course). Once I got the jacket back the sleeves were too long, yet he insisted they were correct. I'm not sure what the hell he's looking at, but I'll be taking it to another tailor to have it re done. Was searching around the area for the best alteration place to go to because I had two pairs of soft shorts needed to be altered. One had a waistband that was all tangled inside the cloth and looked very strange on. I was really nervous because they both are delicate shorts, and one had lace trim so I was worried they wouldn't look normal after being taken in. They look amazing and good as new!! I'm truly impressed with the workmanship they did on my clothes. I paid $50 total for both alterations and the waistband fix. CHEATERS!!! Did they think that I would not notice!!!! I took an old skirt to Pro Alterations to have the elastic changed since the elastic was worn out and the skirt kept falling down. I wanted the skirt for my Hawaii vacation. I was charged $18.00 since the guy said that it would be a big job since the elastic was sewn down. After 2 days, I picked up my skirt and packed it for my vacation. While wearing my skirt in Hawaii, I was surprised that the elastic was loose and the skirt didn't stay up. I realized that the elastic wasn't even changed and that they tried to sew the elastic down....ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? I took the skirt back to Pro Alterations rather miffed and told them that they charged me $18 to change the elastic which they didn't, thinking that I wouldn't notice. The guy apologized and blamed his employee but I know that he told his employee not to change it since it was a big job. CHEATERS!!! I HATE CHEATERS!!!!! read more

These guys are great! I just moved to tustin from Costa Mesa and my alteration lady in Costa Mesa was GREAT (but pricey) and usually took a week in a half. Pro alterations have extremely reasonable prices and got my pants hemmed and ready in TWO DAYS! The best story I have about these guys is they fixed a zipper on a pair of lulu lemon pants that not even the lulu lemon store could fix! Staff has a great attitude as well! Amazing job! I took my wedding dress here to be altered and it fit perfectly. I had previously taken it to another alterations place and she had me try it on, didn't have me put my shoes on, threw some pins in it, and asked for $700. So, I went to Pro's and found them to be extremely respectful, knowledgeable, and informative. They clearly know what they are doing. 2 guys pinned everything for about 20-30 minutes getting everything in just the right spot so they were sure to do a good job. They knew exactly which ways for me to turn, where to put the pins, how to lace things up, etc. I left the dress with them and it only took about 1 month for them to do the whole thing. I went back to try the dress on and it fit like a glove- there was no extra alterations needed. Since we were still about 1 month away from the wedding, they let me store the dress in-house. I came to Pro Alterations to have my pants hemmed up and they did a fantastic job. It's hard to find a alteration shop that does the job right the first time. Recently I took my suit jacket and suit pants on there for a pretty complex job in taking in the arms and tightening of the jacket. Once again they did a fantastic job. I couldn't have been happier. Very disappointed in the results of my visit. I came in to have some patches sewn on to a duty jacket, Because the jacket had velcro on the sleeves, it was recommended that we sew velcro on the backs of the patches, and go with that. The man at the counter was very specific about how it would be done and how it would look..He charged $10.00 per patch, which did not bother me if the job was to be as professional as he described. What I got, was some velcro pieces sewn onto the back of the patches, in pieces, not covering the entire patch, and even the sewing done was with colors not matching the patch design, which is not what he had sold me.. All in all, I am not very happy with the transaction. I am having to order new patches, as these will not pass inspection, and will find another tailor or seamstress to handle the job... read more

Lifesaver! Seriously needed to get my slacks hemmed in the morning and I came across this location. While other locations open late I came across this location where they open up early on a Saturday morning (like honestly I wouldn't open this early) lol anyways I walked in and get greeted right away. Went here once with a really delicate dress I needed altered. Was apprehensive because its a tiny hole in the wall place and you just never know what you'll get... They did a great job even though it turned into a really big job because of the back cutout in the dress. They removed entire zipper, altered top length and fixed detailing. I cannot buy clothes my size and needed to alter multiple pencil skirts. They offered a reasonable price (considering the scope of work) and did a fantastic job. They were confidant they could deal with everything I threw at them -- skirts with linings, zippers that needed to be moved, asymmetrical designs, you name it.
