I don't know much about alterations but I know a lot about customer service and this guy is great! He is so nice and friendly, he always has a smile on his face, I will definitely be going back! I needed a bridesmaid dress hemmed it had two layers and he hemmed it for $25. To me that seems kind of expensive but again I don't know what prices should be, I was hoping for like $15. Very disappointed in the results of my visit. I came in to have some patches sewn on to a duty jacket, Because the jacket had velcro on the sleeves, it was recommended that we sew velcro on the backs of the patches, and go with that. The man at the counter was very specific about how it would be done and how it would look..He charged $10.00 per patch, which did not bother me if the job was to be as professional as he described. What I got, was some velcro pieces sewn onto the back of the patches, in pieces, not covering the entire patch, and even the sewing done was with colors not matching the patch design, which is not what he had sold me.. All in all, I am not very happy with the transaction. I am having to order new patches, as these will not pass inspection, and will find another tailor or seamstress to handle the job... read more

Lifesaver! Seriously needed to get my slacks hemmed in the morning and I came across this location. While other locations open late I came across this location where they open up early on a Saturday morning (like honestly I wouldn't open this early) lol anyways I walked in and get greeted right away. They were able to hem my slacks right away within 15 mins I was in and out and they even ironed them! Customer service at its best! Will definitely be coming back here over and over. I cannot buy clothes my size and needed to alter multiple pencil skirts. They offered a reasonable price (considering the scope of work) and did a fantastic job. They were confidant they could deal with everything I threw at them -- skirts with linings, zippers that needed to be moved, asymmetrical designs, you name it. They basically had to take apart all these high quality pieces and remake them over. They did a fabulous job making them all look authentic but also look wonderful on my body. Price is reasonable and the man that helped me was so patient- especially given I had to consult with the bride over the phone regarding the proper length she wanted. Picked up my dress and the hem came out perfect!!! I was hoping the dress was pressed or steamed as well, but was quite surprised to find it wasn't at pick up. Hence the 4 stars. I've been going to pro alterations for over a decade- I believe they were called something else and have gone through an ownership change or two but the quality of their work has not changed. I've gotten everything from the waist of dresses and pants taken in to hemming pants, jeans, curtains and duvets. They do a really good job but just make sure you double check everything before you take it home because they will fix it right then and there for you. The prices are very reasonable- $15 for an original hem on jeans. They are work with you on timelines and turnaround and can expedite if needed. I haven't gone to them for anything super intensive like my wedding dress or indian clothes but for everyday clothes this is my go to spot. 4 stars because they only take cash! read more

It was my first time coming here for an alteration. They got the job done quickly but didn't alter my dress enough. I asked them if they can alter it more since I was going to wear it for my baby shower but they said it was fine and didn't need any more work. The one thing I love about this place is their customer service. They are very friendly and accommodating. I came here to get my jeans tightened and shortened at the hem. It was a little pricey but he knocked off two dollars when I told him that my jeans weren't even worth that much. The service was quick and they had my jeans ready within two days and if requested they can do it quicker. Everything was done the way I wanted it to be. These guys know their business. They altered 4 pairs of pants for me: Waist seat, and hem. One pair was such a project that they had to remove a pleat in order to recover fabric to expand the waist. Everything came out looking great. All this was done for a very reasonable price but don't forget to bring cash because they don't take credit cards. read more

I bought a suit from Sweden (Tiger Sweden) and despite the fact that a 52 European size normally fits perfectly, this suit fit terribly. Particularly the pants. I found Pro Alterations on Yelp and headed over to have them fix it. I cannot even tell you what a wonderful Jin they did. I guess they had to almost deconstruct the pants to get the fit right but were able to make it fit as though it was made specifically for me. Aside from the great job they did, their customer service is also outstanding. Both gentlemen were extremely nice and helpful and despite being busy and the amount of work required to fix the pants, they got everything back in me the next day. About a year back, I came here to get two pairs of pants hemmed so that the legs were not too long. I showed up before the store opened and just sat in the car because I needed at least one pair of pants done by that night. The service here was fast and friendly. I sat in my car a little bit and then browsed the food store next door and came back and they were done. I can't remember exactly how long it took, but I recall it being much faster than I had initially expected. Great and friendly service. read more

I bought a pair of jeans big on purpose hoping that I could find a good alteration place nearby, and they were amazing. John made my size 33 waist pants down to my original size 28 and they look fantastic. It looks like I bought them just like that. This place doesn't look like much, but they actually did a pretty good job. I needed some minor alterations to some Krav Maga training t-shirts that were too big for me and this place is right across the street from our school. Our instructor only orders men sizes and those are all too big for some of us girls (I am talking to you, Joey K.). So, I brought them in here and voila! Now they fit! We also got some hoody sweatshirts that are the type that don't have zippers in the front. We asked if they could cut the sweatshirt down the front and add the zipper and they said sure. I was still kind of hesitant, but they did a really great job with it - it looks like the sweatshirt was made that way. Prices here are decent and the turn around time is great. My only complaint is that they don't tell you that they only accept cash. Luckily, they let me write a check, but only because the owner showed up while I was there. Otherwise, I would have had to find an ATM. read more

I took in 2 formal dresses to be altered because I had dropped down in size. One was strapless and the other had chiffon detailing on the shoulder straps and around the collar. I was nervous because the dresses were so loose on me around the waist and chest, and I wasn't sure if those types of fabrics could be altered without ruining the dresses. But these guys did an AMAZING job! They took in both dresses by the zipper, and shortened the straps while keeping the detailing intact. You could not tell the dresses had been altered at all and looked like they were bought in the new size. You do have to remember that this place takes checks or cash only, which I had forgotten and did not bring enough to pay when I went to pick them up, but the owner insisted I take them home that day anyway. They have a loyal customer in me, and I will definitely be returning with the difference when I bring in the next item I need altered. I had brought in several pairs of jeans previously as well and they always do a flawless job. I am never in a rush to have these done, but they always have them ready for pickup the same week. The prices are very reasonable. The staff know what they're doing and can make recommendations in your alteration to get it the way you want to look. Took them a couple hours to alter two of my uniforms that needed every direction of alteration. price was absolutely reasonable I even gave them an extra 20 because of my level of satisfaction. My pants belt loop was ripped and I forget to mention it and then repaired it with out even mentioning it. High profession,friendliness,speed, and very easy to communicate with in regards to what needed alterations. This will be the only place I go to now.
