This restaurant was not what I expected at all. it is not really a restaurant, but instead a low-budget lounge. I went for a "birthday dinner" after looking at the menu. I ordered the $40 ribeye dinner that came out cold and over cooked. Sent it back to be replaced and was still overcooked, not to mention they only had plastic silverware. I love supporting a black owned business- but this is one I won't be going back to and for multiple reasons. First, I went for my cousins 16th birthday and her mom called ahead to let them know how big our party was. They squeezed at least ten of us into one of the half circle booths and because of this, at least three to four of us was standing throughout the night or sitting on the edge of the booth seat. Second, It was giving more of a club vibe than a restaurant even while we were there during early service hours. Third, they messed up our food.... Badly. To start off, they gave out the wrong food to the wrong people even tho only half of us decided to eat since their wasn't enough space for everyone to. The salad you see in the picture? I didn't eat it because it was cooked so badly I had to send it back and asked for them to replace it with wings since I refused to let them butcher another steak. It was dry, over cooked and came out 20 minutes after everyone else food. So on top of everything else, I ate after those who also ate even had their food. The service was not good and the only redeeming quality was that their bathrooms were clean. I would recommend to those who enjoy more of an urban scene and what they would consider "upscale eating" on a budget. My cousin enjoyed her time and so did her friends but they were there just to celebrate her birthday. I, on the other hand, did not and would only come back if it was for someone else and would not eat- I would instead eat before or go early enough to where I can catch a decent meal after. read more

I was going to love this place simply because I'm a HUGE Yo Gotti fan!! But outside of being biased; this place was beautiful on the inside. The set up and the menus were very "grown & sexy" loved that the girls working were all beautiful and in uniform. Me and my mister both order the Alfredo and it came out to the table pretty fast for the amount of people that were there. The pasta was amazing! Very nice portion too. My family and I had a wonderful experience here. We traveled from NC and IL and my husband suggested that we check this place out. Very nice decor, ambiance, and atmosphere. Friendly staff. They are open but taking necessary precautions due to COVID-19, including taking your temperature, requiring masks, and implementing social distancing. Also utilize disposable cups, cutlery and containers. Our server was Terrika, and she did a great job handling our party. I had the shrimp and grits. Which was delicious. Lemon pepper wings, Lobster tails, Shrimp & grits, and Shrimp Fettuccine were extremely pleasing! Hostess was not friendly & server was nice, but not very attentive (long laspes of time to get drinks and additional drinks). From the Fried Shrimp, Fried Catfish, Hot Wings, Quesadillas, Grilled Lobster w/ garlic mash, and today I got the turkey wings and dressing with yams and Mac! The serving size is HUGE, the meat is tender and falling off the bone! The yams are the perfect amount of sweet and the Mac has layers of flavors! The food is always fresh and hot. Yo Gotti's mother is always seen speaking to and checking in on guest (she's sweet). The atmosphere is cool, they always have good music, and when I wasn't pregnant the drinks were BOMB esp when the twins were working the bar! This is by far the best food I've eaten out in a long time. For one there is a skilled CHEF in the lab!! The cuisine was seasoned with fresh garlic, herbs and butter. Pure perfectionists. I did not have to add pepper or salt once the food hit my table. That defines skills and fresh products! The broccoli was steamed tender, tossed in flavorable season topped with fresh parmesan. I went to Prive' for my birthday. My party and I really enjoyed it. This was a few months ago (and I'm just now reviewing the place) so forgive me I don't remember our waitress name, but she was lovely in every way! The food was delicious I had shrimp n grits, one of my favorite dishes ever! I think it was a little small, but the others in my party dishes were larger. My only other complaint is the booth we were seated at for my parties size but it made us more intimate so we talked and laughed without being all distant and quiet. I brought all of my friends and sisters together! The music was great. I believe we went on a Friday night. Loved it. Mmmmmm....some very good food! Shrimp and grits was one of the best I've ever had (even in New Orleans), tasted the salmon with green beans and both were seasoned and cooked perfectly. Very nice staff, our server was super friendly with a heartwarming smile. A huge plus was how clean the establishment was, even the bathroom. A dirty bathroom can ruin everything! Came in this evening Friday sep 8th Upon arrival my maps said I arrived but I didn't see any signage from the street. I feel the name should be a neon sign so you can actually see it. The Parking lot is a shared parking lot with various other businesses . So there is plenty of parking! I didn't wanna do that since I was by myself. The bar has the same service as the tables so I sat at the bar . The A/C works great! I am in shorts aN a t shirt an I'm cold. It's hot outside but nice aN chilly in here! From my seat at the end of the bar , you can see right into the kitchen I'm a big fan of open kitchens! It shows the cooks have nothing to hide ! (My opinion) Literally open, to go to the bathroom from the bar you have to walk like in front of the service window The decor here is pretty upscale , when I sat down at the bar they put a cloth napkin down with the utensils on top of that. When walking in across from the host stand is a well light wall of ACE of spades bottles. They have a lovely outdoor style rock on the inside all the walls are a high gloss paint making it shiny. Where the wall meets the roof there is a LED strip around the entire restaurant . All red LED's in here. The lower portion of the bar where your feet sit the copper looking plastic is starting to show some wear aN tear. I like that the glasses are plastic. I guess dropping a glass rack here isn't a bad thing . All the seats are wrapped in a super soft leather again high end feel. The bathroom is really high end too! With nice thick napkins to soak up the water from your hands. The music choice playing here is a younger market feeling new more underground types of music or people on the come up. It's music I would listen to by myself. I ordered the chicken sandwich and the egg rolls. The egg rolls are like a Mexican style egg roll super cheesy! An a nice crunch of the breeding of the egg roll. It burnt the roof of my mouth. The chicken sandwich comes with a waffle bun! The chicken is soft the waffle is soft aN there is a slight crunch from the crispiness of the chicken . Then the minor wetness from the tomato. Both were good, but I would like to try more menu items the sandwich is a huge portion I found out this place by listening to Yo Gotti's song "Momma" he said he spent a 1.5 M's on this. I could see how he did that! I came in here expecting to like it. An I did like it! The bartender was my representation of the staff. She was very nice , checked on me during my stay here. Smiled aN she was always moving I didn't see her loiter once. But she wasn't so into herself where she didn't notice new folks at the bar. That's good! The uniforms were kinda all over the place , some people at the restaurant logo on there shirts aN some people were just in all black. Also I'm not sure if it's a restaurant or a club or both? I visited Memphis, TN for Memphis in May festivities. For our friend 30th birthday we attended Prive Saturday night for dinner. The music was extremely loud to where it was hard to hold a conversation at dinner. I requested one of the waitresses to turn it down, in which she did but it was shortly returned back to the high volume. We had to wait an hour for our food with little to no communication from our waitress. Once the food actually came, it was delicious but we were upset over the service. A friend spoke with the manager, Ms. Mims, who offered us to return the following day meal on her. We did and service was great along with the food. UTTERLY DISAPPOINTED. I decided to give the restaurant 2 stars for 2 reasons. 1 - The ambiance and decor was very nice. 2 - The music selection. Instant thought "REALLY?". The food was less than impressive. You pay for the ambiance and the fact that you can say "I ATE AT YO GOTTI's RESTAURANT." BUT ummmmm WE SHOULD HAVE WENT TO CHEDDAR's.
