I've shipped using the exact same box at this same UPS location multiple times before without any…read moreissues. I've also used the same packaging successfully with USPS, FedEx, and DHL, so I was surprised when I was suddenly told that my package "wasn't a shipping box" because it didn't have a certain certification marking on it. The confusing part was that the employee still accepted the package "this time," which made the interaction feel inconsistent and honestly came across more like an attempt to upsell packaging materials or services rather than an actual shipping requirement. I completely understand wanting to make sure packages are secure, but clearer and more consistent communication would make for a much better customer experience.

We've been looking for a new supplier for our boxes and mailers. We usually ship around 300…read morepackages a month and we wanted someone who could deliver FAST at a good price. After months of using U-LINE and reading more about the company and how they donate millions to elect far-right conservatives (and have problematic views about job regulations, health care, even lunch breaks...) and we decided we wanted to support a LOCAL business (we are located in SF and they are in Hayward) that shared our same business values. Our very first order was great, I ordered at 5pm and got our order delivered at 10:30 AM the next day (for free!!). Judy has been helping me every time I place an order, and she always makes sure we get our packaging supplies on time. If there is ever a delay, she lets me know right away and works with me to figure out what's the best solution. Do we get free crap from them as we used to get from U-Line? No, but it doesn't matter, because now we are getting good service, supporting a local Bay Area business and not giving our money to companies like U-Line. Many small businesses in the Bay Area are looking for a U-Line alternative and I always recommend Baywater Packaging Company. Give them a try!!
