This review is way overdo, but I wanted to be able to share my experience with Priority Moving. The good- arrived promptly, reviewed what we had contracted for and the four guys were friendly and cooperative. The not-so-good: I dont know who trained them in packing but I was very disappointed. My antique crystal china was packed on top of each other instead in a special box for glasses. Fortunately, they did not get broken... another packing problem was they threw my hats at the bottom of a box, threw my belts on top and then shoes and boots. Needless to say, everything was crushed. We also were missing an iPod. I guess they missed packing 101 in moving school. I will not use them again. read more

So while they were quick in moving our stuff into the house, they were even quicker to leave!!! We did a military move and they were paid to move out stuff unpack and take all the boxes, when we asked them about unpacking they responded with we can but all your stuff will be on the floor and I'm pretty sure that's not in the contract!!!! Our movers Jacyn, Doug, Ryan, Anthony and Daniel. They put our bed together wrong left cuts in our furniture not to mention the tail light on one of our motorcycles broken, needless to say definitely won't be using them when retirement comes around!!! read more

Hi Leah, thank you. To your company's credit, I appreciate the reply. The problem is that my insurance company said they require me to pay the $500 deductible which may or may not be recoverable depending on if your insurance will accept the claim. Accordingly, I was informed that if your insurance denies the claim, (which we know how much insurers love to deny). I am out the $500, plus run the risk of an increase in my premium. Additionally, we got an estimate of $250-300 to do the repairs. Either way, we get stuck with the expense of being run off the I-56 highway due to the wrecklessnss of your driver. read more

Derik and Crish moved me from Del Mar to UTC area. Not only were they professional, prompt and courteous, but they also took care to protect my carpets at both apartments, wrap the furniture in plastic and/or blankets but also packed, delivered and unpacked in a timely, careful way. They were even great with my anxious dog getting in their way. By far the best experience I have ever had with movers. I have personally used Priority Moving on 4 different moves, once from our apartment to our home, then to a rental house, then to a home we owned. They also moved some furniture and effects from my late aunt's home in Orange County, placed it in storage, and then delivered it 2 months later when we needed it. All 4 moves went better than any other moving company I've ever used. There were no suprises on the bills, they were prompt, on-time, very courteous, NEVER smoked in my home (or at all for that matter), and moved very quickly (in fact, when they dropped off items to put in the moving truck, they were RUNNING back into the house. Mind you, these are hourly rate moves, so the faster they move, the less money they get. Virtually no damage in all 4 cases (at least we never filed a claim). Priority Moving is top notch! Having moved more than a handful of times within California, I'd have to say that this moving company is the best. I worked with Derek to schedule the details and he was always available by email and phone. He even made sure to confirm our move before he left for vacation and the minute he returned. Derek assigned a 3 man crew - Dante, Carlos, and Asa - and they were able to get the job done (w/o any breaks) w/in 3.5 hours. The crew showed up 45mins early, wrapped my large furniture and mirrors in professional grade plastic. Nothing was broken or scratched, and the walls were unscuffed. Priority Moving was great. They confirmed my move the day before, showed up on time, and the movers were very helpful and friendly. They covered the entrance with cushions and padded up our fragile stuff, even the dining table chairs. At the end of the move, we got a box of cookies, which was our first meal in our new house. Several hours after the move, I got a call from them saying that the movers charged me for a 3-man crew instead of the 2-man crew that we actually had, so they apologized for the mistake and saved me the $300 difference. I guess I should have been paying attention, but moving is a stressful experience and I'm glad they were watching out for us and didn't just take the money and run. I've moved quite a few times and have used United generally. This time around, based on the Yelp reviews, I figured I might want to save some money and go to someone else to move from Orange County to SF. It was a not a great experience. Pluses - Quote was decent, delivery was timely and behavior was generally courteous. Minuses: I took the sales person at face value when he said he doesn't need to do a visual survey just because "he's located in San Diego and he couldn't arrange for a survey in a short notice". I contacted him more than 3 weeks before the move so that claim falls flat. He also said the quote might go down based on the actual weight..while the actual weight was less, I recd a higher bill. I asked the driver why and he told me "we took 1.5 hrs longer to pack your stuff". This is a dirty business tactic. I've moved before and I know how much time it takes to pack my stuff. The movers spent way more time packing my things and because I didn't bother hurrying them up, had to pay them more. The driver also told me point blank that he won't deliver anything till he charges my credit card. With an infant son, I didn't have much of a choice. The packing itself was a bit lousy. I work with the Shipping dept in my company sometimes and have seen professional packing. No packing material was brought except some blankets, the 2 guys refused to take ANY of my kitchen stuff/utensils and I had to plead with them and provide them bags and bedsheets to pack it up and they behaved as if they did the favor of the century. Upon delivery, the driver calmly mentioned that while transferring items, a car backed out into some of the boxes. I found a few items broken inc. a painting and will have to deal with the Claims process to see how that turns out. The explanation from the Sales guy was not at all helpful and he tried to cover up the mistakes. These are not traits that I personally expect from a professional moving company. Next time, I'd rather pay the extra $500 and go with United. read more

This was my 2nd time using Priority Moving for my local move in San Diego. While the exact time of your movers isn't locked in until the day before they were able to accommodate my request for a morning start time despite originally having a noon scheduled time! They went above and beyond to assist me with my move, wrapped all necessary items prior to moving them, and provided as many wardrobe boxes as I needed. Jacyn and Nando were extremely organized and polite and made a stressful day run smoothly. We were done in less than 4 hours and they were very professional. I moved from La Mesa to San Marcos and Jesus and Adrian packed my room into the truck in less than 15 minutes. They are a great team and super efficient! I was kinda worried that it was going to take more than three hours to move but they worked really fast once we got to San Marcos and with 20 minutes to spare. I've moved 3 times in the last 6 months and this was the first time I used a moving company, it was worth every penny and I'll definitely use them for my next move! read more

Most of the guys were friendly. They didn't show up till 930 and spread out all over my house. Once about 430 came around they didn't care about anything and just rushed to get out of the house by 5 (even though we pointed out items that were not done). They also left empty or half full water bottles scattered around my house and garage. My reason for a 1 star is during this extremely stressful time of my life (moving across country) not only did I have to keep pointing things out that were not packed after they left we kept finding items not packed. We didn't go through everything yesterday (I ASSUMED everything was packed) however opened a drawer today and realized there were 2 drawers in my kitchen that were not packed (I specifically told the guys anything not marked with red tape was to be packed). Called and got well sometime tomorrow we can bring the boxes (oh and did I mention they were scheduled and probably paid for 2 days of work)! Tomorrow will not work since our moving truck will be here at 7 am to load the truck. We did not have a choice in the company packing our things however if you do I would not recommend this company. read more

Fantastic moving team! The two men they sent over arrived early and cleared out my 2500sf condo in Little Italy in less than 3 hours. The movers were clean, courteous, and handled all my belongings with gentle care. Since I am in currently in between residences, they moved my belongings into a storage unit where they unloaded efficiently and with the same level of care. I have been extremely happy with Priority Moving and highly recommend them to anyone requiring a move in San Diego. Our in home estimate set the tone for a company that knew what they were doing. Don came to us and explained the whole move process. He kept everything under-budget and the estimate comes with a guaranteed ceiling price (so your move cannot go over this price). Priority even had all the used boxes we needed to pack our condo. The load-in was fast and professional with Anthony and Marcus, and I felt like all my belongings were taken care of. From the moment your team of movers arrived, (punctuality was the only issue we had, they arrived 20 minutes after our approximate start time, hence the 4 out of 5 stars) our move functioned like clockwork. The team was extremely professional, took great care of our things, and worked cooperatively with us to ensure all our needs were met. They were very respectful and careful to not damage the carpets, doors and walls of our new home and we really appreciate it. Much to our delight, we finished a lot earlier than originally anticipated. In addition, I wanted to mention that Rebecca, who coordinated our move, was extremely helpful. If I could give them 0 stars I would! I am NOT happy with Priority Moving. Over the past week I learned that myself and my husband were lied to about our pack dates. I was told in person while my husband was told in person, on the phone, and in an email that our pack dates were to be June 19th and 20th. When no one showed up on the 19th, I called about 8:45 to find out what happened. My husband's contact, Donald, told me that even though the military does not work on the weekends they do. He said that our pack dates were actually on the 21st and 22nd. Well no one showed up that morning! So my husband called and after a few attempts he was finally able to get in touch with someone. They looked up our information in their computer and said our pack date is on the 22nd with a truck date of the 23rd. I have been through 3 moves with the military and even when we had a small house they needed 2 days to pack our stuff up. Because of the lies I was told, I do not believe that any packers are coming to my house on June 22nd. And if that is the case, then one of three things will happen; the truck comes on Monday with nothing packed; the truck comes on Monday with half the house packed, or the truck doesn't come at all. If I went by the fact that we were told the 19th & 20th for our pack dates and they didn't happen, your company has shown me that you cannot be trusted. And as of 9:00am there are no packers to be seen. My husband was told the packers would be here 8:00am sharp! Do not use this company!! They lie to you. They do not show up when you have scheduled dates. And if we ever get someone to come pack our house, I fully believe because of what I have posted on social media, they will break, destroy, or lose our things. The military will be informed first thing Monday morning and I will make sure that Priority Moving will no longer be used for any military moves. read more

We had a pretty bad experience with this move from San Diego to LA. The 3 movers arrived late but were able to load up everything quickly. My problem was how things were loaded on the truck - the bed springs were not protected during transport and not surprisingly, they damaged it! We had to repeatedly request them to handle our things with care. Our furniture and microwave has scratches all over it. More tantrums started when the movers arrived in LA - they refused to bring up a bookcase into our house as they were running out of time and insisted that we should keep it in our garage. They kept arguing that it was too big to fit through our door and they would have to charge us extra for bringing it in. Upon repeatedly requesting they agreed to give it a go - and guess what, the bookcase came through the door pretty easily. They just didn't want to try! During unpacking the 3rd mover decided to vanish and go rest in their truck. How convenient! read more

I'd like to start off with how great Priority Moving was with accommodating my move request. I've contracted services with Priority in the past for a move from San Diego to Rancho Bernardo, and they did a great job. It was a easy decision for me to contact them again for my recent move. Originally my request was for a week out from my move date, but at short notice I requested them to change the date to an even shorter notice of 2 days. They were able to accommodate. The movers were very professional, but yet had lots of personality which made the move much more enjoyable. They did a great job protecting my items as well as the house structures for both origin and destination. My move was from a 2 story to a 3 story; the movers energy and positivity remained intact during the entire move even though they had carry some extremely heavy furniture up 2 separate flights of stairs. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who asks for moving references. In fact, as Priority was loading my items, a neighbor came over and got a business card from the movers because she is moving next month. She said her interest was because as she walked by she noticed how they protected the structure of the home, as well as packing the items inside the truck. Excellent Job! read more

(Priority Moving San Diego not Priority Moving Temecula CA) Recently found out they have an illegal 5% CONSUMABLES FEE on Labor Charges or 10% CONSUMABLES FEE of the total move, as on their written contract, charged to me and possibly thousands of others. ALL THOSE WHO USED THIS COMPANY PLEASE CHECK YOUR CONTRACTS - YOU ARE ENTITLED TO A REFUND - FILE A FORMAL COMPLAINT WITH THE CALIFORNIA PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION - once you do this, they can seek an audit for all past and current customers of this unscrupulous moving company. They may also find other overcharges, as they did with my contract. If you didn't keep your contract, call the company and get a copy; or look through your emails. It will be worth it for the time it takes to fill out the CPUC complaint form and stop this moving company from illegally overcharging and getting away with it. Still cannot say how truly evil and criminal this company is. Don't underestimate how bad a moving company can be. They probably picked up some day laborers; put on a Priority Moving & Storage T-shirt, and called them employees. Be afraid; be very afraid; stay away from this company unless you like fighting for reimbursement of your personal property; getting estimates; being threatened; If I can help one person, with this review, to book another moving company.... "Save 1 life and save the world"......It will help my healing process in trying to get over the assault they called a move. read more

I used Priority Moving for my move from Hillcrest to Mission Valley this week. They did a fine job, and there are a couple of highlights I would like to point out. 1st - Truda in the office is a delight to work with. She is prompt in returning calls, and always friendly. She's very accommodating, and is up front and honest when it comes to estimated charges. 5 stars to Truda. 2nd - The movers arrived at my old home exactly on time. Very friendly and fast. My ONLY complaint is during one moment during the move, actually moving the heaviest piece of furniture I have, one of the gentlemen (and they were VERY nice) was busy chatting on his cell phone with one hand, and moving a large item with the other hand. It made me a little nervous. They also broke two lamps and failed to mention it to me until I pointed it out. It was an "oh yeah, I was going to tell you about that" moment. All in all, it was a good experience, and I am willing to overlook the broken lamps because those things happen during moving. Actually, they came in at a lower price I had planned on so this is a plus. They also used furniture pads and crates which was a nice touch to protect items. I would use them again. read more

There was an issue of access to my new building downtown because someone else was moving out that day, and they worked with the other people to figure out a solution so I didn't have to get involved. Excellent Moving Experience I am so happy with how my move went today. Even before the crew showed up, the service I got on the phone was so helpful. I didn't even have to make time for an in-person estimate; I just submitted a quick video of my home and its contents. The guys that showed up today were amazing (Nash, Geoff, Chris, Mike and Bryce). They were so very professional, laying mats on stairs and high traffic areas to keep them clean, padding doors to prevent damage, and carefully wrapping every piece of furniture. Folks, this is the best moving company that I have ever worked with! The movers were friendly, positive and very helpful with the entire moving experience. I had two treadmills that were very difficult to move but all three guys were very patient and kept working diligently without giving up until they got both of them exactly where I wanted, without damaging a thing. They moved everything fast and efficiently. The price was very reasonable too. Be sure and ask for Matty and Randy-- They are two great guys who are hard workers and very funny too! I did my research on moving companies well in advance. After finding Priority Moving, I knew that it was the right choice. After setting up the time, date, filling out the paper work (all done through email), everything was set. The moving day arrived, the movers called when they said they would and were in bright and early. With friendly attitudes, they took good care to protect our items and moved everything with smiles on their faces. Just used Priority Moving again to move my mother-in-law to a new apartment. Cornelius, Jose and James did a superb job and were very enjoyable to work with. They wrapped all furniture in blankets. They were extremely careful with every item. They didn't mind being micromanaged by my wife as each piece of furniture got placed just so at the new place. Priority's prices are very competitive.
