Rene, Kirk and Richard were our movers from Priority and they were wonderful! They arrived promptly, provided us with the wardrobe boxes for all our clothing, gave us some suggestions to make our move more organized, which was really helpful. Providing good customer service is hard enough when everything goes right. But providing quality service when things go wrong is what separates the amateurs from the professionals. The guys at Priority Movers are the pros. I've moved cross-country, Asia, Europe and back. I've hired deluxe moving companies with "white glove" service that charge tens of thousands of dollars. I've hired day laborers standing on the corner. I've tried doing everything myself to save money. Priority Movers, I'm happy to say, rank head and shoulders above the rest, and were well worth the money. Here's my story of how they turned a bad situation into a GREAT one. I scheduled an estimate with the company for a Saturday afternoon. I wait for them at the appointed time. No show. I call their office to see if we had mixed up the dates. No answer. Furious, I left a harsh review on Yelp, giving them one star, and start looking for alternatives. Within a few hours, the CEO of Priority Moving emails me, vowing to get to the bottom of it. Add back one star: You need movers who will listen to complaints and take immediate action, not get defensive and argue with you. (I once had someone threaten to sue me for a bad review after they refused to take back merchandise that was broken during shipping.) Turned out, the man who was scheduled to do my estimate, Carlos, tried to come, but was given an incorrect phone number. When he arrived, he tried to call me to get access through the complex gate, but could not reach me. Failing that, he left. I would have done the same. True to his word, the CEO followed up and explained what happened in detail. He even made a policy change to how they schedule appointments, based on my feedback. From then on, they would provide customers with the cell number of the person doing the estimate (I had asked for it when I scheduled the appointment but was told to just call the office. Problem here was that the office was closed when I had my appointment, and I couldn't reach anyone.) Add back another star: They actually changed the way they do business, based on customer feedback. With many companies, the comment box is just a dressed up trashcan. After getting an estimate, I decided to give Priority Moving a try. They ended up earning five stars. If you want to know how they did it, read on. On moving day, my movers, Felix, Rafael and John arrived right on time. Here's what they did right: * Wrapped every piece of furniture as if it was made of bone china. * Used awesome carpet runners and sticky doormats to avoid tracking in dirt. * These guys don't use dollies in the house because that tends to damage walls. That makes it harder on the movers, but ends up being a lot safer for the house. * Got IKEA furniture that collapses if you sneeze too hard? No worries. I listened to my movers discuss how to move these pieces as if they were planning a play on third down with 10 yards to go. Impressive. * No missing hardware. They kept track of all the nuts and bolts for every piece of furniture. * Ultra polite and professional. * No worries about having your stuff get "lost." With every single one of my mother's moves, she had things stolen by the laborers. I have never had anything stolen in my many moves, but it is still an ever-present fear in my mind, and I've constantly patrolled my moves to keep an eye on things. My movers instantly dispelled my fears. After 15 minutes of watching these guys work I felt assured enough to sit down and relax for the first time that week. * Best of all, they were fast, efficient and thorough. As a result, the final bill came in way under the initial estimate. You are paying movers for the work, but when you get peace of mind, that becomes priceless, particularly when it comes to something as stressful and complicated as moving. I wouldn't wish a move on anyone. But if you need to do one, these guys will make it as painless as it can possibly be. read more

Recently moved from Carlsbad to the Temecula area and this company is great! Had some bad experience with other moving company, therefore I was a bit hesitant about using another one. Like others I chose priority movers because of their reviews. We were very disappointed in the crew and service. The company kept messing up my moving date even after I told them to fix it on the paperwork.They called me on Friday to go over my move on 11/23/15, I told them it was the wrong date and the move was for the next day on the 11-24-15 I explained to the guy on the phone that I couldn't do the move on Monday because I had to go pick up my husband who was returning from a five and half month deployment. He said he would change the date to the 24th, then we went over everything for the move. Moving day finally came and you would think with three movers that things would get moved quicker, that was not the case, all of our stuff was packed and ready to go in a storage unit. One of the guys kept taking smoke breaks throughout the whole move. Once everything was loaded on the truck we met them at our new place. Two of the guys would be unloading things to take in to the house while one guy just stood in or near-by the truck for a while and the other guy kept taking smoke breaks. You could tell that they were trying to run the clock to make the move cost more which is exactly what they did. We were quoted for 567 for four to five hours and ended up paying 850 bucks once they were done, very unprofessional people. Then while we were will filling out the paperwork, the guy said make sure you give us good feed back because our boss likes to hear we did good. My husband only said he would give them a good review because the guy was standing right there. We will not be using this company ever again and I will make sure it is known to everyone " DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY". Their quotes are way off, the movers take to many smoke breaks, they stand around trying to run the clock up just so your move will cost more when they finish. They said someone would do a follow up call and we never got one. I know the company reads the reviews and I'm sure I will get my follow-up call now. The only call I got from them after the move was to make sure I write a Yelp review for them. Very disappointed! So as you can tell below the company reached out to us. The reason why my husband didn't want to reach out to the company at first is because he was already upset about the move, movers and it last thing he wanted to deal with. So the company said they would refund us the difference in the moving cost to help make things right. They also told us that they fired one of the guys from our move due to many issues that they had with him. It's nice to see the company is will to make things right after a Yelp review and one call. We are still waiting on the refund check from them and hoping to get it soon.... read more

So Im satisfied. They didnt break anything and moved everything from one pace to the other. Where im not satisfied is with their customer service as many others have said. After my move was completed I noticed a box missing that evening and checked at my old place it wasnt there either. So I called the next morning at about 8:30, guy said hed talk to the guys who moved me and the GM. After not hearing back for the whole day I called back around 5 and spoke to Ilya the GM. He said this was the first he was hearing about it. After he was alerted he checked the truck and called me back saying it was not there. He then spoke to my movers, they had put the box int he underside of the truck where they put the tools since there was no more room in the truck. They returned it to me the next day and everything was fine. I was just a little annoyed that I had to call back to find out the status of my missing box, it should be the other way around... read more

I spoke with the staff there on several levels and all of them were so kind. If all companies had this kind of customer service we would definitely be better off. Priority Moving proved their professionalism and thoroughness once again last week with our move to Banker's Hill. Luis, Larry and Dee were all professional and beyond courteous. Most of all, their attention to detail was (and is) second to none. They carefully wrapped all of our delicate furniture and I heard them often communicating to each other to be careful of their surroundings and to be careful of the walls, doors, fire sprinklers, etc. These guys are TOP NOTCH. I had many moves in my 20 years of service in the United States Marine Corps and never experienced as many issues as I had with this company. They will tell you anything they think you want to hear to get your business. The husband and I were moving from North Park to Dana Point and never hired movers before Through Yelp, BBB, etc. we found Priority Moving and I'm damn glad we did! Their estimate for the amount of stuff we had, drive time, etc was $1000 and that was in the middle of the estimate range (I called about 10 different places). The morning of the move they called when they were on their way and showed up ready to go (despite rain). We had everything packed but had a party in our house the previous night and they were quite patient with the still hooked up kegorator and massive quantities of red cups littering every available surface of our house! They got a two bedroom house packed up in three hours and the took off towards our new place. The drive took them about an hour (again, stupid rain) and they were all business laying down protective tarps/plastic/etc in our new place to prevent tracking any water, etc in the new house! They ended up having to hoist our giant couches over our 2nd floor balcony and didn't bat an eye at the process! They set up all the furniture (put beds back together, assembled dressers, etc) and once they were done, they had us come out and inspect the entire moving truck to make sure nothing had been left behind! They then had us inspect everything they had moved to note any damage done to our property (there was NONE, even with the couch over the balcony debacle). Once the inspections were done, we filled out the payment paperwork and they gave me the final/actual total. It was $950, $50 less than their estimate. I was quite impressed with the accuracy on the estimate (which I believe is partly thanks to our rep Donald who really helped us give him an accurate inventory of possessions to be moved)! I totally hate myself for not writing this review earlier as it's already been a month since we moved but...THEY ARE AWESOME. They called 15 minutes before the scheduled time to let us know they were on their way, showed up on time and nailed our move within the time allotted. They were fast, professional and totally cool. I've also lost our moving sheet, which the guys had written their names on for me to publicly give them a shout out, so my apologies guys. Just know that they were great. Let me start by saying I had Discount Movers move me the week before, and they were awesome. They could not deliver on such short notice, so I went with Priority. Phone call went well, they even through in a free plasma box which I couldn't use apparently because my TV has no stand. Anyways, the reason they got 3 stars instead of 2 is because they credited me back an hour so it was only 4 hours of billing instead of 5. The 40$ gas charge was new to me as Discount Movers did not charge this. They arrive at 10:05 for my 10AM appointment at the storage facility. They ask me to look at the 2 storage units, then the paperwork begins at 10:15. The commute from storage to my house is 4.5 miles away and is 6 minutes by car, so maybe an extra couple for them in the truck. They disappeared on the way into the local mini-mart for some odd reason. When asked about it, they told me they were filling up gas. Once again, my house is less than 5 miles away. When I was talking to customer service later, they told me they were not filling gas as they can only do so at certain stations. So they took a pit stop. The minimum driving time is apparently 15 minutes, and they charge double for driving for some odd reason, so 30 minutes. The job ended at 2:45. Basically it took 4.5 hours for the whole trip, and their billing came to 5 hours of usage. I was bitter about the lunch thing and there double billing for that time and them showing up late, along with the unfriendliness discussing it with the movers, so there tip disappeared (was going to be 120$ for 3 movers). They were not in a hurry while moving, chatting, sometimes one or two of them would take a few minute break for paperwork, bathroom, ... Discount Movers the week before had a crew of 2, moved 80% of the stuff a longer distance, and packed some of my things, in under 3 hours. They were literally running down the ramp to get the next load of stuff out of the house. Discount Movers is also slightly cheaper. Next time, I am going back to them. read more

I've used Priority Moving twice now to move me between Downtown San Diego condos. They are amazing; from thier customer service to taking execptional care of my personal items. I especially appreciated the way they wrapped all my furniture in heavy blankets and then plastic wrapping it so that the blankets remained in place. I watched them secure my furniture inside the moving truck so that it wouldn't shift during transit. These guys know what they're doing! Their pricing was very reasonable, pretty much what I expected to spend. They had provided me a Not To Exceed pricing quote, which I was happy to see they didn't exceed; either time I moved. We went with Priority because of the good reviews on this site. Perhaps others have had a better experience--I can only report on how our move went. The moving crew themselves were friendly and efficient. There were a handful of dings on various pieces, but nothing one wouldn't expect. Three things in particular frustrated us. First, the movers (though polite and efficient) used packed boxes to hold doors open throughout our condo. This practice may have led directly to the next problem. I am an academic. My boxes with books were numbered, containing packing lists of what was inside, duplicates of which I retained for my records. One of my boxes went missing. Naturally, it was a box with difficult to replace (not rare or antiquarian, just hard to replace) volumes. Third. The front office was difficult to deal with on this. Calls were not returned promptly and more care seemed to be taken with denying responsibility than with getting to the bottom of how a box of books goes missing on a move. We will not use them again, nor, based on our experience, do we recommend their use by others. Update: They finally got back to me and apologized for losing my books and offered me a sum of money for my loss. I agreed. Weeks later their office still hasn't returned my e-mail accepting their offer. So, par for the course--the movers are nice and reasonably efficient (apart from losing a box), the front office is s-l-o-w at following up. read more

Moving out of State ? We recently moved from San Diego to Arvada, CO and I can't come up with enough great things to say about the combination of Priority Moving and Wheaton Van Lines. Most of the reviews that we read here during our initial research were for local moves, so I want you to know that these folks are also the Go-To guys for any long distance move. We chose Priority Moving out of the 3 bids that we had and have never regretted it. On time, everything as promised, and on top of the situation from Day 1 through delivery. Guy Gershoni at Priority Moving is the consummate professional, not to mention being just an all around great guy to work with. Carlos Diaz, our estimator was also a pleasure to work with. We had great crews on both ends of the move. High praise also has to go to Wheaton Van Lines, and especially our driver Steven Scadlock. Steven and I got to be pretty good friends during all of the chaos, and we had a lot of good-natured laughs and ribbing. Steven was named Wheaton Van Lines "Driver of the Year" while in transit with our truck load of treasured belongings, and we can see why he received such a distinguished award. He is a great man. If you find yourself in a position to request a specific driver, request Steven, you won't regret it. 10 Stars if the ratings went that high. read more

Had no idea who to use for my move recently. After talking to friends and looking here I found Priotrity and am so glad I did! The guys were hard workers and everything got to my new house in one piece. My only gripe was that I had labeled what was in each box and where it went...they put it in the correct room but faced most of the labels so you couldn't see them. If you do this just ask them to make sure the labels face out and I'm sure they'll take note! read more

Good and bad. I had great movers and an OK agent who was trying to book a one bedroom 600 sq ft job with three people. I felt that was overly estimated, I called and adjusted the job with another agent. The movers are great though, courteous and hard-working. I gave a great tip. I only wish for all the labor workers to be paid more for what they have to go through to move a big job! read more
