Prins is 100% a bull artist. He had me put my arm out and then resist as he pushed it, but he pushes at different strengths depending on what he wants to make you think is wrong with you. He handed me a journal paper from 1998 on only 17 people showing a correlation between arm movement and allergies (absolutely no way it's real, reproducible science with that sample size). He said he didn't want to do anything to help me during my first visit ($275 for 1.5h), but I asked him to do something even if he didn't think it would last more than a few days. He did a massage that I'd already done on myself prior to seeing him, which had no effect in the past. I was referred by a nutritionist named Nori, who "they know very well," who may also bull by association. Their receptionist Vashti refused to give me a refund and told me to talk to Christina the next day, saying the services had already been rendered. As you can see from the historical Yelp reviews, which I neglected to check prior to visiting, there is a pattern here, from 2013 until now. PS If you're sensitive to smell, you probably will have have issues with the scents used in his office.

That said, they've joined with a new group and you must keep your receipts and check your bills carefully! Despite paying my copays at every visit, such that I had a 0 balance, Albany PT sent me a bill. When I called to inquire, I was told that my insurance company had tripled the required copay on one specific date, causing me to have a balance due. When I called the insurance company to find out about my changed copay, they had no record of a copay change, or any amount due. Insurance had fully paid their part and I had fully paid my part. The billing contractor for Albany PT was insistent that the EOB showed a required triple copay for one specific date -- but she was unwilling to share the EOB with me! Something sketchy going on in the billing department...

He was kind, seemed to know what he was doing, felt he could help me with my chronic low back pain and elbow tendonitis. I was feeling hopeful when I left. He said he'd like to see me twice/week if possible. Went straight to book the appts at the front desk, but was told they couldn't get me on the books with him again for three weeks. Not great for continuity or knowing whether I was doing the exercises correctly, but I figured it would get easier with time, so I made two appointments, three and four weeks, respectively from the first. After patiently waiting the three weeks, unsure if the exercises were helping or making things worse, it was the day before my 2nd appt with Eric, which I was very much looking forward to, and I got a confirmation text saying I had an appt the next day with "Nia." I looked on the website and she is a PT assistant. And, more importantly, not Eric, who I had the appointment with. That I waited three weeks for. I called to explain this and was told that they don't have enough PTs and that's part of the deal that you'll be seeing PT assistants. No one explained this from the beginning or even mentioned it when I was told by the front desk person I had two appts booked with Eric. This is not the way to treat patients. Eric might have been great and helped me with my pain. I'll never know. I won't be going back.

She explained what she was assessing, asked relevant questions to understand potential causes, and provided only relevant adjustments and treatments. She explained what may be the root cause of my issues and gave relevant stretches and exercises for me to do for long term benefits. Prior to the 2 sessions, my shoulders, hips, and low back were so tight and it was causing me to get numbness, the inability to stretch out when I slept, and I felt so heavy due to the stiffness in my body. My issues were likely due to previous exercise and running injuries that I left untreated. I was shocked at how much better I felt after 2 sessions with her. It was like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. Following the relief from her sessions, I've continued with additional mobility exercises at home to maintain the benefits. I highly recommend visiting her if you're experiencing any pain, discomfort, or abnormal mobility issues.

He is not only an excellent chiropractor, but also an incredibly kind, empathetic, and caring person who treats my chronic full-body condition with a gentle, effective, mind-body-spirit approach. The combination of chiropractic, PDTR, NET, and everything else that Dr. Cohen uses has been so effective. The other practitioners I have seen, Dr. Jen, Dr. Furda, Kenny Givens (massage therapist), and Michael Huff (orthobionomy) are all also very excellent, knowledgeable, and kind. Kenny Givens is my favorite medical massage therapist and I always come out of my appointments feeling better! The front desk staff is fantastic as well, Randi especially is so sweet and helpful. I recommend Innate to literally everyone I know, especially my friends with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome & other chronic conditions. Thank you so much to everyone at Innate for significantly improving my quality of life!

The intake appt was about 10 or 15 mins & $150 out of pocket. Avoid. This is a slop shop that will overcharge & give only the very minimum. My intake appt was between 10 & 15 mins & rushed, with a very distracted staff. I do not feel that this was nearly enough time to learn about my injury, or show me how to do any exercises, or do any lifestyle PT coaching of any kind. The PT told me to do 2 exercises I was already doing. This was inadequate medical care. All of the staff were polite, friendly & professional. But rushed & distracted. My guess is that the issue was not the staff, but with the apparently intense schedule & metrics required by the business owner. The owner is promoting his 21+ adult content graphic novel(!!) & singing career in the waiting area. The bathroom was filthy with mystery fluid on the toilet seat, on the floor around the toilet, & on the sink & on the floor around the sink. Trampled used tissue paper on the floor & other trash scattered around. The trash can itself was very wet & the lid stuck shut so people were just throwing things on the floor. Because tissues were trampled down flat & fluids were on the floor, clearly it had not been cleaned or checked in substantial time. Like a truck stop restroom. I should have taken photos of it in this condition, but I REALLY had to use the facilities so I grabbed a can of Lysol that was laying on the ground & I sprayed the toilet down with Lysol & I threw away some of the trash on the floor. The entire facility had extremely hot & stuffy & muggy air. No ventilation in sight. The humidity of a nightclub, like lots of people breathing into an enclosed space. Unclean air & total lack of ventilation is how airborne disease spreads, & how airborne pathogens like covid spread. Stuffy to the point that almost everyone including staff had wet hair & wet shirts sticking to them from sweat. I tested myself for covid after the appt every other day for a week, & thankfully I didn't catch covid there, but I would not have been surprised if I had. Very crowded & very noisy group exercise room. No masks on anyone. After the appt I talked to 3 people in the neighborhood & they'd been there, & both said their appts were never over 15 mins & neither of them were satisfied with the medical treatment they had received. One of them only went to 2 appts then changed to a new PT because of bad service. Both of these people paid cash out of pocket because this place didn't take their insurance. One of them saw that they billed her insurance $500 for the 10 min appt, & the insurance would not pay it. She was under the impression that her insurance would pay it eventually, but she was stuck with the bill. This place didn't take my insurance either. Apparently many people in the neighborhood know this place is no good, & I wish I had asked around before scheduling there & giving them $150 cash. Avoid this place! Highly distracted & rushed staff do 10 to 15 min appts & charge $500 for it, they don't take insurance, seriously stuffy air & bad ventilation, very unsanitary bathroom. I'd like to save other people from having negative experiences at this place - every other PT I have ever been has been so much better than this place. RUN! 4/26 UPDATE: I stand by everything in my review. All staff were polite, friendly, professional, efficient & knowledgeable. My appt was less than 15 mins. I checked the time. The 4 other people I spoke to also said that appts were never more than 15 mins. This is not enough time. I will ask my neighbors to add their reviews so there are similar comments from more people. Again, all appts were consistently less than 15 mins for all 4 of us. My neighbor confirmed that her insurance was billed $500 for 1 appt. The poster in the waiting area promotes Allen Ling's graphic novel company, including a QR code to his website. See the graphic novel poster. This QR links to an "age restricted content" page requiring a box to confirm they are of age to access "information of an adult nature & subject matter, which might depict sexual activity & erotic art." I didn't confirm because I didn't want to view adult content. Search "Allen Ling graphic novel" or "Daughters of Django graphic novel" for more info. The QR in the poster worked while I was in the waiting area, & when I added this review. Today the QR doesn't work to his website gen7comics.com The facility was very hot & stuffy, above 68-70 degrees. Most people had wet hair & wet shirts from sweat. It was much hotter inside the building than outside. The CO2 ppm reading was above 900, which is close to unsafe air, indicating a high level of recently exhaled air (~1.33%). That means people are breathing air that was recently in someone else's lungs. HVAC experts & the CDC recommend 800 ppm or less.

Then, they sent their request for reimbursement to the *wrong* insurance company and after they didn't get paid (since the request was sent to the wrong insurer), they said they didn't want to work with my insurer and that I'd have to pay the full price. Then came their change of heart, after my insurer cleared up the misunderstanding and paid them. Source for Wellness said I could return for a service, once again paying a copay. So I made an appointment for a service and came to a very clear understanding with them that my insurance was indeed covering the treatment. I did this BEFORE the appointment so that there would be no misunderstanding on the day of treatment. But since my appointment was in the evening there was nobody in their office to settle payment before the treatment. So imagine my surprise when a couple of days AFTER the treatment, I was informed by them that I now have to pay for all services up front and then request reimbursement by myself. If I had known they'd make me pay everything up front I would not have come. The reason I chose this place was specifically BECAUSE they said earlier that they accept insurance. I'm done.

The first time I saw her, it was at the recommendation of a friend who was taking classes in the Hendrickson method. At the time, I was suffering from chronic back pain. I was quite surprised, because during that first visit, she did targeted massage work and used an activator tool. She suggested that I see her a couple more times and I did. She did some manual manipulations during the later sessions which I found surprisingly gentle and not scary at all. After three visits, my back pain was completely gone. Since then, I have learned how to move properly. But I'm an active person and can put my body through a lot of strain sometimes. So part of my management includes scheduling an appointment for a "tune up" on occasion. I've seen her for all kinds of aches and pains over the years - hip, foot, ankle, toe, elbow, as well as my back. She can work on it all. In fact, I just saw her Tuesday night because I'm training for a weightlifting certification event and tweaked my back during practice. I felt better as soon as I got off the table. Now it's Friday and I feel ready and able to do my weightlifting certification this weekend! I am honored to include Michelle as an essential member of my healthcare team.

My own case in recent times of lower and middle neck pain took me to two months worth of renown practitioners of bodywork, orthopedic acupuncture all of which were relieving for about one day. Sleep deprivation was becoming a crisis, and I decided to go to the famous Hendrickson clinic in Kensington only to learn that Tom Hendrickson retired and closed his clinic. One of his top practitioners was Dr. Michelle who had gone into private practice on Solano Avenue. I immediately signed up, and amazingly I got 90% relief on the first visit that was lasting and get me to sleep at night. I've gone once per week on four more occasions, and now the problem is fully resolved. Dr. Michelle's work is very gentle and extraordinarily precise. I teach human anatomy at local colleges, and I was surprised by her knowledge and precision. She works for a considerable amount of time preparing the musculature and has been using the gentle activator tool to correct scoliosis on me along with muscle education to release cramped scalenes and levator scapula muscles. On the last three occasions she did gentle cervical manipulations that fully completed the release of my neck cramps. I plan to go back for regular tune ups. I happily offer her my highest recommendation. I found that gentleness, full half hour preparations, precision and excellent knowledge of the body are some of the treasures she has to offer. If people go for her full half hour preparations, they will be much better benefited by Dr. Michelle's work. I'm very impressed and will be back regularly.
