I saw Dr. Jennifer Tran and was impressed with her approach to assessing my issues. She's thorough, friendly, and extremely knowledgable about the human body. She explained what she was assessing, asked relevant questions to understand potential causes, and provided only relevant adjustments and treatments. She explained what may be the root cause of my issues and gave relevant stretches and exercises for me to do for long term benefits. Prior to the 2 sessions, my shoulders, hips, and low back were so tight and it was causing me to get numbness, the inability to stretch out when I slept, and I felt so heavy due to the stiffness in my body. My issues were likely due to previous exercise and running injuries that I left untreated. I was shocked at how much better I felt after 2 sessions with her. It was like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. Following the relief from her sessions, I've continued with additional mobility exercises at home to maintain the benefits. Dr. Cohen & the team at Innate has genuinely saved my life! If I could give ten stars, I would. I have Hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (hEDS), and I could not ask for a better chiropractor. I have tried many practitioners who could barely keep me walking, and Dr. Cohen was able to get me out of support braces, stuck in bed most days in pain, and now I am dancing on my feet again! He is not only an excellent chiropractor, but also an incredibly kind, empathetic, and caring person who treats my chronic full-body condition with a gentle, effective, mind-body-spirit approach. In fairness, I have to disclose that I haven't been a client. I DID want to be from reviews. Prices for "chiropractic" not listed, so I called. The out of pocket cost for initial "chiropractic only" appt at $245 is THREE TIMES more than HIGHEST price I've ever paid. The follow ups at $199 are almost SIX TIMES the highest price I've ever paid. From my searches, the prices I've paid previously are pretty average. I suspect this companies ability to bill insurance companies for the "chiropractic" services is the root reason for the exuberant price. Having the ability to inflate prices 3-6 times more than the going rate, seems an obvious factor in gaining the ability to charge insurance companies. Another cog in the wheel of capitalization and causation of rediculous insurance rates. UPDATE AFTER OWNER RESPONSE Stefan, with all due respect, and business owner myself who frequents mostly "small businesses", above board service does not negate a price 3-6 times the price of a basic service, which is what I specifically asked pricing of. Just because you've justified it to yourself and patients who aren't paying at time of service (but all do in their high monthly insurance premiums), doesn't make it right no matter what symantics are used. read more

I came to Dr. Cohen 42 years old feeling tense, experiencing neck pain, and having ringing in my ear. Most recently I was experiencing shoulder pain caused by a preexisting condition and exacerbated by a tough CrossFit workout. Each session he progressively fixed my issues, and today I am not feeling any pain. He addressed each injury methodically, and without causing major pain or discomfort. I was slightly intimidated by images I have seen of people getting adjustments, however, nothing that Dr. Cohen did was scary. He explains everything he is doing and is a top notch Chiropractor. Some people have complained that the prices are too high, but I feel it has been worth every penny. I did not want to take any chances with Chiropractic care, and I don't think you should either. I have been seeing chiropractors since I was 13, with scoliosis developing and an injured neck... Both were realigned to full functionality and health. I am a lifelong endurance athlete who suddenly found myself with debilitating back pain, unable to run or do many of the activities that I not only enjoyed but that played a huge part in defining who I was. This was not only crushing mentally and physically, but dealt a severe blow to my overall wellbeing. For years since my back trouble began, I consulted with various health practitioners, including other chiropractors, and while there was some temporary relief, the pain and limited mobility persisted. Somehow, despite various methods of diagnosis, including x-ray analysis, none of the doctors could get to the bottom of the issues. Finally, I consulted with Dr. Stefan Cohen of Innate Chiropractic, which has resulted in three visits to date. Dr. Stefan's first concern is always getting to the root of the issue, much like an electrician troubleshoots circuitry. And since the body's issues are like a moving target, each visit identifies current and chronic issues and attempts to address them in appropriate fashion. Ultimately, Dr. Stefan identified two separate but related issues, did some adjustments, and had me go through various motions and exercises. I then got a customized home exercise program to help address a muscular weakness and imbalance, and since incorporating the exercises I've been able to get back out doing my favorite activity - running - free of pain and the nagging impingement that no one else could resolve in nearly five years. I like to think of Dr. Cohen as a geek of his trade, in the best sense of the term, as he is forever fascinated by the human body and constantly seeks to learn new ways to enhance his knowledge and skills. I visited Dr. Cohen with a cluster of issues - all caused by trauma/stress which he took his time in understanding and evaluating which practice will best help me. NET (NeuroEmotional Technique) was the practice applied and it was life changing. The pain/issues I was dealing with for years were explained and nearly resolved within a few sessions of seeing him. Well worth the 30-minute drive! I come from Vallejo for my appointments with Dr. Cohen, despite there being a chiropractor office literally 5 minutes from my house. I initially found him on the active release technique (ART) provider search. I wanted a second opinion for my severe arm numbness. Fast forward 10 visits later with Dr. Cohen, I AM CONFIDENT I DO NOT NEED SURGERY!! During my visits, Dr. Cohen also made sure to address muscle imbalances & inhibitions. I started seeing Dr. Cohen a few years ago when training for my first trail marathon. I was experiencing hip, back and other injuries that I couldn't shake and still participate in my endurance sport challenges; despite stretching, rolling, rest and seeing other chiropractors. Over the past 20 years I've seen quite a few chiropractors and none other then Dr. Cohen have provided such consistent and immediate relief, support and recommendations for "homework" (certain core and hip strength exercises; for instance). He got me successfully through my marathon, multiple half Ironmans, a full ironman and now helping address and prevent injury leading into my first ultra. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Cohen. I've been seeing him for years now for issues I have with my hips getting out of alignment my back and shoulder and neck pain from sitting in front of a computer and related issues. I think my favorite part about visiting Dr. Cohen Is that he takes a very holistic approach which I have never experienced with other chiropractors. From the beginning he looked at the way I moved and suggested exercises and strengthening and other things that would help me generally avoid pain. I've been going to Kenny at Innate Chiropractic for over a year at this point. There was a time when I would look for the cheapest massage therapist along Solano Ave, but then I broke my pinky. I had already been working with Dr Cohen, and am so grateful that he added Kenny to the wonderful staff! I've been coming to Dr. Cohen for a few months and he has been great. He's extremely knowledgeable and always keeping up on new techniques. When I came in I had been dealing with shin splints for over a year, that had gotten so bad I couldn't walk for more than 10 mins without them flaring up. He found the problem in the first visit and within a week my shin splints were gone. He also gives great exercises to continue at home to help progress. He's also worked on all my other issues I.e. back, hips. Dr. Cohen listens closely and approaches his patients very holistically. He diagnoses surprising (to me) connections between one part of the body and another and gently reawakens muscle groups that aren't firing properly. I went to see him because of a hip that was causing me some pain. I was afraid that this was one of those things that would eventually lead to surgery. Deep tissue massage was mediocre at best. The place is very small, cluttered and lack of privacy as I was able to watch another person's chiropractic session as I sat in lobby and walked by because door was kept open. Parking is difficult to find. I am not sure how they have 5 stars, maybe they have friends and family write reviews or pay Yelp. Service and facility did not reflect that rating. There are tons of other places, please avoid this one. By the way, if you go, ask about their cancellation fee since they will not tell you about it ahead of time and hide it on the fine print. I had just about lost all hope when I first went to see Dr. Cohen. I had seen 4 different doctors about constant stomach pain... primary care, urgent care, emergency care, and a GI doctor. I had done an upper endoscopy among many other tests, blood tests, stool tests, etc etc. I took all the meds they told me to take but I still was in pain and couldn't sleep at night. It had been months. I'd lost a lot of weight from not wanting to eat. I started looking elsewhere and an acupuncturist referred me to Dr. Cohen and said to ask for the "emotional technique." I was intrigued. In my first visit he connected my stomach ailments to my emotions. After two visits I was sleeping through the night again. Now after a few months, my stomach no longer hurts, I'm sleeping and eating again, I'm off all the meds the doctors gave me. I have no idea how he did this. Always believing in western medicine, I never gave much credence to alternative treatments like chiropractic care or acupuncture. But, it's the only thing that worked for me. This was my first time seeing a chiropractor, but an exercise coach suggested it might help with my frozen shoulder issues. Not knowing what to expect, I was pleased to find that Dr. Cohen's approach was different, yet complementary to what I was already getting with physical therapy, and I attribute the breakthrough from frozen to thawing with his different methodologies - using KT tape, cupping, fascia scraping, exploring emotional stress, etc. Even seemingly minor adjustments seemed to make a big difference.
