Koichi, in contrast, within the first couple weeks helped me down to a pain level of 0-4 and it stayed that way!

She explained what she was assessing, asked relevant questions to understand potential causes, and provided only relevant adjustments and treatments. She explained what may be the root cause of my issues and gave relevant stretches and exercises for me to do for long term benefits. Prior to the 2 sessions, my shoulders, hips, and low back were so tight and it was causing me to get numbness, the inability to stretch out when I slept, and I felt so heavy due to the stiffness in my body. My issues were likely due to previous exercise and running injuries that I left untreated. I was shocked at how much better I felt after 2 sessions with her. It was like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. Following the relief from her sessions, I've continued with additional mobility exercises at home to maintain the benefits. I highly recommend visiting her if you're experiencing any pain, discomfort, or abnormal mobility issues.

I…read morehave Hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (hEDS), and I could not ask for a better chiropractor. I have tried many practitioners who could barely keep me walking, and Dr. Cohen was able to get me out of support braces, stuck in bed most days in pain, and now I am dancing on my feet again! He is not only an excellent chiropractor, but also an incredibly kind, empathetic, and caring person who treats my chronic full-body condition with a gentle, effective, mind-body-spirit approach. The combination of chiropractic, PDTR, NET, and everything else that Dr. Cohen uses has been so effective. The other practitioners I have seen, Dr. Jen, Dr. Furda, Kenny Givens (massage therapist), and Michael Huff (orthobionomy) are all also very excellent, knowledgeable, and kind. Kenny Givens is my favorite medical massage therapist and I always come out of my appointments feeling better! The front desk staff is fantastic as well, Randi especially is so sweet and helpful. I recommend Innate to literally everyone I know, especially my friends with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome & other chronic conditions. Thank you so much to everyone at Innate for significantly improving my quality of life!

Feeling Better - Concentrating on certain muscles tend to have a longer lasting effect. As long as there is not too much pressure.

It's not going to be a gentle relaxing massage, but this sports massage will be worth the temporary discomfort to have the underlying issues worked through. He's also really good at distracting me while he's doing all the fixing. All of my gratitude for the work he does. Kind, caring, observant, funny, and honest about what's happening with my body, this business lives up to the name Feeling Better. Thank you for everything.

WARNING: SEX PEST!!!…read more I made an appointment with this guy based on his many 5-star reviews here on Yelp. It was a massive mistake not to further investigate. I booked an extra long massage because I've been struggling with intense back and hip pain. I took a Xanax shortly before our session to help me relax; I've been under a lot of pressure at work. Unfortunately, I became so relaxed that I pushed aside my awareness that this guy was crossing all kinds of boundaries. It wasn't until after I left and the meds wore off that I acknowledged to myself just how inappropriate this guy was. Here are some examples: 1. In response to my apology for running a few mins late, he said I should NEVER apologize, this experience all about me, and he made some comment about white men getting too much as it is. The remarks just felt like pandering, both over the top and calculated. 2. I asked him how he got into massage. He responded by saying that his ex-wife cheated on him and then he was fired from his job, where he was "making mistakes" but it wasn't his fault because he'd been poorly trained. Possible but also raises questions, including as to why he would share this info with a brand new client. He didn't even answer the question, lol. 3. He said that he was told in massage school that he has "no business being a massage therapist." Those were his words. I wondered what on earth could've prompted a professor or administrator to say that to a student. Well, by the end of our session, and especially after reading the other 1-star reviews (all written by women), I can certainly guess! 4. He pressed along my pelvic bone and bladder without warning. This is a sensitive area in more than one way, and I found the move to be totally inappropriate and unnecessary, 5. He kept resting his head on my calf, over and over again, lifting it from the table and holding it against his cheek. 6. He kept resting his head on my calf, over and over again, lifting it from the table and holding it against his cheek. 7. He kept telling jokes and making reference to sexually charged SNL skits and laughing at them at length. As in, long after I stopped responding. 8. He truly did not stop chattering away. 9. For good measure, he made reference to family members who accuse him of being a deadbeat. Just... why are you sharing this?? After some thought, I asked for a refund, citing his oversharing, inappropriate touching, and the many reviews that call him out for both. He promptly returned my money. Thanks, but it's not going to stop me from warning other women / femme presenting people about this guy. And dudes, don't support this guy. We need you to be our allies.

She took the time to really listen, thoroughly assess my injuries, and explain everything in a way that made me feel informed and confident in the treatment plan. Her approach is both skilled and compassionate. Each adjustment felt intentional and tailored to my recovery, not rushed or generic. Over the course of my treatment, I noticed steady improvements in my mobility, pain levels, and overall quality of life. She truly cares about long-term healing, not just temporary relief. If you're recovering from a motorcycle injury or any serious trauma, I can't recommend Doc Liu enough. She's knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely invested in her patients' recovery. I'm incredibly grateful for her care and the role she played in helping me get back to feeling like myself again.

The thing I like best about this style of chiropractic treatment, ART, is that there is an emphasis on healing in just a visit or two if possible and teaching you how to manage the injury or weakness through taping and/or exercises. This visit was for knee pain, some related to IT band tightness. Jess did some deep tissue work on the IT band with a pain-relieving lotion then did cupping with a little Chinese cupping therapy kit. With the cups in place she moved my leg in a way it wasn't able to move before she began the treatment because it was too painful. She explained that how she was using them was different than Chinese medicine because she wasn't using meridians. The cupping looked really freaky. Big disks of my skin were sucked up into the cups and the skin turned reddish purple. It can leave round bruises but I didn't get any. She slid the cups around a little with the aid of the lotion on my skin. She told me that I could purchase an inexpensive kit online and treat myself with the cups. I found a small one for about $15 and it has helped a lot. She also put two lengths of spider tech kinesiology tape around my knee to stabilize it. I've tried to replicate this at home though it is hard to get in the same exact spot but I think it has helped some anyway. She also suggested biking to strengthen my quadriceps. In any case, one visit with helpful suggestions and my knee is on the way to better when healing had been stuck. Highly recommended.
