Dr Jung was the exact person I needed to see after this seemingly simple movement caused an injury to my back. I called his office when they opened but his front desk was out. Luckily, he checked his phone and called me back an hour before he was done for the day. I made it there as quickly as I could with an injured back. He was very thorough during his analysis of what could potentially be wrong. He did a multitude of tests and asked many clarifying questions to confirm or deny his suspicions. His explanation of why things hurt and how things are all connected helped me understand the bigger picture of my injury. I was able to get X-rays the same day to verify if it was a bigger issue than what met his initial tests. I got adjusted and he set a follow up appointment. The initial consultation and follow up were very well priced! After the follow up he provided a potential schedule to further correct the deeper issue that could potentially cause me issues later down the line. Dr Jung is a very educated chiropractor who specializes in the adjusting of the natural curvature of the spine. I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking chiropractic care. Dr. Jung is amazing and helped me when I thought I was out of options. I was experiencing excruciating lower back pain despite going to The Joint, using a Tens Unit, and seeing my primary care doctor. I even went to the ER once because my pain was so severe. I was relieved when I was referred to Dr. Jung, who showed me via xrays that I had not only an extreme vertical curve in my back, but a second horizontal tilt in my lower back, putting all the pressure right where I was experiencing pain. I was in a semi serious 3 car accident which resulted in injuries to my neck and back and my car totaled. Via my Doctor's recommendation I started seeing Dr. Jung for neck and back pain and correction. Having never been to the Chiro in my life, I wasn't sure what to expect. After speaking to multiple Chiros over the phone I decided on Dr. Jung as he's extremely detail oriented, understanding, and very patient. After X-rays we saw that my neck and spine was severely out of alignment, and decided on the best course of action. I've been seeing him for the last 1.5 years consistently multiple times a week, and happy to report my neck and spine are back in alignment and the pain is gone. I have been going to Jung Chiropractic for several years and this review is long overdue. I originally started going to Jung Chiropractic for chronic neck pain. Dr. Jung did the initial assessment, including X-rays and developed a treatment plan. After months of traction, my chronic neck pain was gone. I continue to go to Jung Chiropractic for routine maintenance. Over the years, I have had injuries to my neck, back, shoulder, elbow, and knee. Dr. Jung is great at helping with those type of issues as well. Some of those things he was able to treat. Some he provided helpful information on what might be causing the problem and ways to recover. Dr Jung is a consummate professional. He is knowledgeable, friendly, and easy to talk to. I was sent to this chiropractor by my lawyer after an auto accident. Be aware that he'll have you come in repeatedly without helping your back. It may work for some, but the traction he used was very painful. It may have aggregation my spinal issues. I ended up having a spinal fusion five years later at Stanford that was successful. If you have a serious back injury, seek help from a orthopedic MD. Dr. Jung will not fix your back issue, and between he and the lawyer, they will take most your settlement. I was referred to Dr Jennifer Hammett by the receptionist across the street from them (another chiropractor) because I had gotten in a car accident, so I did my first consultation, she took X-rays, she went over the procedures, she referred me to an attorney due the car accident damages. Turns out I had lumbar scoliosis! With treatment of 32 visits I was able to notice my posture got so much better, I felt taller even! My family also noticed my posture getting better, no more back pains, no more shoulder pains. At the end of my treatment she ran another set of X-rays to see the results, I was so impressed as to how much better my neck posture was doing. Dr. Jung changed my posture, for the better! I suffered from a bad forward hunched posture growing up. When I met Dr. Jung (by luck and a random pick) I was about 23 years old (2006-2007) and he changed my posture in just a month or two. I started noticing dramatic changed in my posture, as Dr. Jung performed his magic through "CBP" techniques. I stand 6'1" and people all of sudden started asking me if I had grown an inch or so... I would say no, but family and friends would tell me that I look taller! Well that was because of the traction tables and Dr. Jung starting to re-shape my spine into it's natural position. I use to struggle to keep my back nice and straight. I had to make a conscientious decision to keep my back straight and when I got tired or stopped thinking about it, boom I would lean forward. By the time Dr. Jung had gotten my spine where he wanted it, I had no more issues holding myself up. It was actually the other way around. I had to push my shoulders and spine forward and make myself hunch over, and like a bent spring, my spine would automatically stand straight the moment I would let go. My spine was corrected YAYE! I saw Dr. Jung for about 8 months or so and I moved out of the Pinole area shortly after. Getting to see him even once a week was near impossible because of my work schedule. It is now 2014, and I have noticed my back starting to slouch forward like I use to. Unfortunately this was not a permanent fix for me, but he warned me that I need to visit him every so often to keep my back in line. I wish I could have listened but like I said, distance and schedule just wouldn't allow me. I was currently looking for another CBP Chiropractor in my area to help straighten my back out and I seen that Dr. Jung only had one review! So I wanted to give him 5 starson Yelp... Side note: Years later after seeing Dr. Jung, my wife started to work for a Chiropractor who did not believe in CBP and kind of talked bad about this process. When she took X-Ray's of my spine, she was so impressed on what she seen, that she wanted to know my original doctor's name to learn more because of my testimony! Her chiropractor that she worked for did nothing for my back and if anything left it sore once leaving. I don't have anything good or bad to say about Chiropractors, but I would not go to just any Chiropractor. If anyone would ever ask me if I had luck with one, I will and did always praise Dr. Jung and for what he did for me! Kind, helpful and friendly staff. They practice Chiropractic BioPhysics (CBP) which focuses on posture and spinal alignment through X-ray analysis, spinal adjustments and traction. The consultation includes X-rays and I believe the first adjustment/traction. Dr. Jung is amazing! He explains everything and is very thorough. The treatment program I did was 8 weeks with X-rays taken again halfway through. I would get headaches because of how I held my shoulders and lower back pain from standing/sitting for long periods of time and the treatment helped alleviate those problems. There is another chiropractor there, Dr. Hammet, who is very friendly and welcoming. Ben, the massage therapist, is awesome! Massages are tailored to your needs and specifications. He has been doing massage for several years; he's highly skilled, intuitive, and professional. He provides just the right amount of pressure and leaves you relaxed. I have been seeing Dr. Jung since 2004. In that time he has saved my life! I had horrible migraines and disabling sciatica all at the young age of 20. I was referred by a friend and I owe her everything for convincing me to go see Dr. Jung. Since I began treatment, I have referred countless friends and family to the incredible care of Dr. Jung. He has taught me about spine health and changed the quality of life for me and so many of my friends. Below is a letter that my Aunt wrote to Dr. Jung before moving out of state to provide a recommendation of care. -- If you wish to truly improve your health and quality of life... at least call to see what its all about. September 1st 2011 Dear Dr. Jung, It all began in September of 2010. I noticed my right foot started to go to sleep. Over the next year it increased to my other foot, up my legs, all the way up my spine and into my head. It felt like a vice on my head, creating numbness on my chin and into my ears. I was getting vertigo so bad that I couldn't do my normal day to day activities. My only relief was lying in bed and not moving my neck or head at all. I first went to my primary care doctor and she sent me for x-rays. She also sent me to see a neurologist. The neurologist then sent me for an MRI. After the neurologist evaluated my MRI and x-rays he sent me to physical therapy. I followed his instructions and completed 6 weeks of physical therapy and it did more harm than good. My primary care doctor sent me again to another doctor. This time it was a neurosurgeon. He also examined my MRI and x-rays and told me to go back to my doctor, continue taking my medications, which were making me sick, and to just persevere. When I asked him if my neck was causing any of my symptoms he said "No." At this point I was devastated. My primary care doctor had to put me on blood pressure medication and anxiety pills because my entire nervous system was under stress. This had affected my whole being. My Niece who had been a patient of yours urged me to come and see you. I had been apprehensive in the past about chiropractic but was willing to try anything to improve my quality of life. My primary care doctor was also apprehensive. However; after my first appointment with you, you offered to write my doctor a letter about treatment. She was so impressed with your letter. She said all of the questions she would have asked you were explained in the letter and told me "by all means go see Dr. Jung." Not only were her questions answered but so were mine. In our initial consultation you looked at my MRI and x-rays and found the problem immediately. You showed me on the films where and what it was. It was right there on the films. My primary care doctor never saw the actual films just the reports, but I can't for the sake of God understand why those two other doctors never addressed the problem you have been able to fix. I started treatment in your office in January 2011. We had our ups and downs, but improvement started coming and I knew that when the curvature was corrected it would all be better. The first improvement I felt was with the vertigo. Then the numbness in my chin and ears started to fade. Before coming to your office the nerve endings in my shoulders were so damaged that they would make my whole body shake. But as we ventured down our long journey I began to see more and more improvement. Getting my head back over my shoulders proved to be more taxing, but we got where I needed to be! You helped me to not get discouraged and to stick with treatment. It's amazing the difference this has made on my life. Dr. Jung I can't thank you enough for giving me my life back. I really do feel like you have saved my life. My condition was so horrible because it affected my body, my emotions, and my whole life. I had been having a terrible time with insomnia for 15 months when I met by best friends Chiropractor, who has a practice in Fairfield. She asked if I had tried Chiropractic adjustments and explained the function of the spine and how it can be directly connected to not being in a relaxed enough state to fall asleep. I was all ears and desperate at this point. My friend then told her that I didn't live in the Fairfield area and that I lived in Rodeo. She immediately told me about Dr. Jung and even called her husband who is also a Chiropractor over to talk to me about Dr. Jung. I have had such a positive experience with Dr. Jung. I have a somewhat rare case and was diagnosed with Meniere's. This causes extreme vertigo and can be very debilitating. I went to several doctors and they all basically said I would have to live with it. I was having these dizzy, spinning attacks every other week. I started seeing Dr Jung on Aug 7th of 2014 and to date I have not had an attack since then. Dr Jung was able to improve the curvature of my neck which I believe has contributed to ending these attacks. I will forever be grateful to Dr. Jung for making me feel normal again.
