Dr. Dizon has moved and I followed! Unfortunately, a fire took out the entire building where Sycamore Chiropractic used to be and so Dr. Dizon had to find a new place. I am just so happy he is still close and pretty local for a Herculean! Just two exits away from Hercules, and now located in Pinole, Dr. Dizon still offers amazing adjustments and pain relief. I came to this Chiropractic facility in hopes of finding a better Chiropractor. I left my old one and went to see Dr. Dizon. BEST DECISION EVER. Backstory: I got into a car accident in Vegas, so went to try and see a chiropractor for my back after having some pretty bad whiplash. I went to another facility in Pinole, and felt that they were too unprofessional and felt like the doctor over there did a premature move by "adjusting" my back too quick. I decided to leave and find a new person that wasn't so quick to jump to the gun in adjusting my back. Now the actual review: I made an appointment super last minute, and Dr. Dizon was able to see me the same day I had called. He evaluated my pain by a few simple physical tests. He was very professional and delicate with me, which I really appreciated. I saw him for treatments consistently for a few months and I noticed the pain going away. Definitely slowly but surly. I discovered Dr Dizon via Yelp. I was in a car accident in February 2011 - yep, should've post this a LONG time ago. Didn't think too much of it til I started getting neck pain and eventually tingling in my arms...I decided to seek chiropractic care but needed to find a new doctor (long story). Any way, Yelp reviews led me to Sycamore Chiropractic. Dr Dizon, after a quick but thorough consultation, asked me if I was looking a certain way when the crash happened, asked if I had these other symptoms etc. He told me what was wrong, what was out of alignment etc - there were things that I didn't realize were caused by the crash that I had attributed to other things. About 4-6 visits later, I was better than new! Dr Dizon is friendly, caring and professional. He wants you to truly get better(!) - its not just an endless string of visits. The update - I recently started seeing Dr Dizon again. A few months ago, I started volunteering, two days a week, as a SCUBA diver at a local aquarium. I wear a approximately 30 lb weight belt, plus all the equipment I wear or use, kinda takes a toll on the body. So, various symptoms cropped up and I was calling Sycamore Chiropractic again. I was always on the fence about going to a chiropractor. You hear these horror stories about how people get suckered into plans where they HAVE to go or get charged anyway. Or in some cases, the chiropractor makes things WORSE! Yikes! So, I have these thoughts in the back of my head as I decide to finally go after living through a couple of pretty bad car accidents, four years of ducking on a Navy ship and about 15 years of of labor intensive blue collar work. My neck is pretty much always creaky and my shoulders are often sore. Lately, I've had hip pain. I'm not interested in getting an RX to mask the pain, so that was out of the question. Anyway, I call and make an appointment. Upon entering the office, Dr Dizon immediately put me at ease. I filled out some paperwork and let him know of my chief complaint and history of pain. After running me through some tests and relaxing my muscles, he went to work. I walked out feeling immediate relief in my hips, and after the adjustment he did on my neck, the dull achy feeling I've had in my jaw is gone. I'm not saying he is a miracle worker and can fix any and everything wrong with you. What I am saying, is that I feel worlds better than I did before I went in, and am no longer feeling pain where I have had pain for a very long time. I am doing a follow up and look forward to having Dr Dizon treat me in the future when I need it. The price is very reasonable for the service provided. The atmosphere is calming. I first came here because I had gotten into an accident about 2 years ago or so. I was feeling sore around my back and neck so I wanted to find a chiropractor that was close to home. This office was practically down the street so I thought I'd try here. And let me say that Dr. Dizon knows his shit. I don't remember how many appointments I had with him but I didn't need all the appointments my insurance had quoted me for to feel a difference. I was feeling discomfort when I would drive or just while laying down, but that went away after a couple of sessions with Dr. Dizon. He didn't have to do a lot of cracking and that usually scares me because I had been to a different chiropractor before and being put in all these weird poses to be adjusted is uncomfortable and I didn't look forward to my appointments with him. My favorite thing that Dr. Dizon would use is the vibrating pads and the warm mat he'd place on my upper back. I only needed to lay there and i would probably fall asleep a little for the 10 minutes he left it on me. Now 2+ years later, I still come in every so often to have my arms and my wrists fixed. He knows exactly where to use the little tool that clicks on my arms and I still get the heating and vibrating pad because he tells me the root of my discomfort there is from my shoulders and having my arms up blow drying all of the time. After getting adjusted by Dr. Dizon, I swear by the treatment of chiropractic!!! I used to get massages on a monthly basis to relieve the tension in my back, neck and shoulders. Although it felt good while I was getting a massage, the pain would still be there afterward. However, the adjustment from Dr. Dizon works wonders! He really knows how to adjust to get rid of the pain quickly and really fix the problem. I also have allergies, and I basically suffered every day taking pills and dealing with a congested or runny nose. However, Dr. Dizon started adjusting me in the area that gets rid of allergies, and I swear by his treatment- it works!!!! I no longer deal with the annoying stuffy nose and am not taking every single allergy drug out there like I used to.
