He asked questions about my activity level, and explained what he'd assessed from having reviewed the films. Next morning, after taking more views specific to my injury so we could see how the fracture fragments had migrated into the joint space, I was eager to have him fix the damage not mentioned (or perhaps not seen) by the first flippant corporate MD. He even showed me a model of the plate that would hold everything back in place! Because of the time that had already passed since the accident, he and his staff created space for me to get into surgery that very same afternoon. Less than three weeks later, I have regained almost full range of motion and continue to be impressed by the thoroughly professional, kind and patient care provided by Dr. Cardon and his staff, who've guided me safely through all aspects of the healing process.

Initially, an assistant saw me and inquired on my complaint then a physician assistant, Diane examined, x-rayed then provided approaches. Since I have seeing a therapist for nine weeks, the logical step is having a cortisone injection on my trigger finger left thumb which I took. Hopefully this injection will address my issue and stay. A follow up appointment was scheduled in case this problem persist. All the staff were friendly, informative, knowledgeable and knew exactly what was needed. I had a full knee replacement…read more It was in very bad shape and other doctors told me because of the way my knee bent in, surgery would be challenging. The surgery went so well, I was walking the day of the surgery, physical therapy started the next day, after being prescribed 20 tablets of pain medication, I took only 3, and after six weeks I had virtually no hint (pain wise) that I even had knee surgery. A year later I am doing great . . . again with what I think is a perfect knee. Dr. Salyapongse is terrific. I highly recommend him and his team.

I had multi level lumbar fusion surgery with Dr. Su in December. I was in horrific pain and he…read moremoved a surgery to be able to get me in! The staff has been consistent and responsive - well beyond most Dr. Offices. Previously, I had cervical fusion/decompression surgery and lumbar decompression at UCSF. Every day I wish with all my heart that I'd gone with Dr. Su for those. It's hard not to blame myself because I'm convinced if I'd gone with Dr Su initially I wouldn't be left with cervical chronic pain. Dr Su's approach is to do the most minimal surgery because you can always do more, but can't correct surgery that shouldn't have happened. In my case, this lumbar fusion and reconstruction Dr Su did on November was to correct the first aggressive lumbar decompression at UCSF. I'm now 6 weeks post surgery and feel like I'm getting my life back! Nerve recovery has been difficult and painful, and the staff has been incredible at addressing it. For the first time I feel like I'm part of a team working to heal me. Shout out to PA's Connor and Julie, and Anna and Bruno for back office support. One more thing to consider...the practice consists of several high quality doctors that offer supporting procedures adjacent to surgery.

One of the things I appreciated most was how honest and transparent both you and Dr. Su were with my prognosis. Your directness allowed me to make informed decisions without false hope, while still feeling heard and respected. You didn't just prescribe a path--you listened to my concerns and worked with my choices. The main reason I chose to fly from Los Angeles--despite the costly flights and hotel stays--was because you believe in starting with conservative care before jumping to surgery. That meant everything to me. Although Dr. Su thought my lower back MRI showed serious issues, he still agreed to try epidural injections first. Thankfully, I only needed two. Those injections gave me my life back. Before meeting you both, I had been off work for six months. Every provider I saw in L.A. pushed for surgery. As a nurse, I've seen patients come back years later with even more pain after surgery. I know surgical techniques have evolved, but I wasn't ready to take that step without a team I could trust--and I trust you both. Just three weeks after my first injection, I returned to work. I'm on my feet 12 hours a day, and I was finally able to do it again. Thank you--truly. My husband got his wife back. My kids got their mother back. Before treatment, I looked and felt ten years older. Now, I feel like myself again. I had been managing well with just Tylenol and ibuprofen for the occasional mild pain. I had recently undergone back surgery and mentioned that my leg had been hurting. Even though I was there for my hip, Dr. Feng immediately took the concern seriously. He stopped what he was doing, performed a thorough examination of both of my legs, and told me he was concerned I might have blood clots. He sent me directly to the hospital for testing, where it was confirmed that I had blood clots in both legs. I am incredibly grateful for Dr. Feng's attentiveness, compassion, and professionalism.
