I love how inviting this space is! I've been seeing Dr. Brian for the past month and I would like to say my experience is exceptionally great starting with the front desk staff. Manalo (sp) is so welcoming and accommodating the minute you enter and leave the building! Dr. Brian is a wizard in his craft and I love that he's educating me in everything he does and why. You can tell he really cares for his patients and not just number to get in and out of the door. I've been dealing with some upper shoulder/neck pain and since I've been seeing him, I'm finally getting the relief I need. Thank you! read more

After 10 months as a patient at this incredible chiropractor office, I can confidently say it feels like a sanctuary. From the moment you walk in, you're enveloped in a warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes each visit a pleasure. Dr. Freddy, my chiropractor, is truly a healer. He takes the time to listen and meticulously asks about my pain and overall health, demonstrating a genuine care for my wellness. Having struggled with a nerve issue, I finally found a place where they not only understand my condition but also target the specific areas that need healing. It's clear that they're committed to providing personalized care, and the supportive community they've built is an added bonus. One unique aspect that I love is their choice of music. Instead of the typical instrumental relaxing tunes, they play energetic and vibrant tracks that elevate the atmosphere and make every visit feel uplifting. I'm incredibly grateful for the professionalism and compassion shown by Dr. Freddy and the entire staff. GRACIAS!!! read more

***This place saved my life*** I cannot express how grateful I am for Dr. Collins-Bride and the whole team here at The Source Chiropractic! I originally had some skepticism surrounding chiropractors in general since I had a prior negative experience many years ago at a different practice. Now, I highly recommend chiropractic treatment to anyone and everyone!!! I previously had back surgery when I was 18 years old and now, 10+ years later, my disc was herniated once again. The pain and exhaustion I experienced affected every single aspect of my life and I was at a breaking point. Luckily, we were able to find Dr. Collins-Bride through a mutual friend and he changed my life. My personalized treatment plan was very detailed (with progress videos!) and included regular check-ins with longer one-on-one sessions (see below). More than half-way through my treatment plan, I suffered an injury on the job and was completely devastated. Dr. Collins-Bride was so quick to adjust (pun intended ) my existing plan to accommodate my ultimate health goals post-injury. I paid for my original treatment plan upfront and I was not pressured to pay for my adjusted plan until my pre-paid sessions were completed. The majority of my appointments were held in the beautiful open floor plan- this can be intimidating at first, but once you're on the table it is more comfortable than you would think! The calming music is just loud enough that you can relax and also ensure conversation privacy between patients even though you may physically be in close proximity to one another. The friendly staff are very accommodating in all aspects- especially when it comes to scheduling appointments! They are very understanding and will work with you to do whatever it takes to ensure you stay on track and continue through your health journey, whatever it may be. I felt so supported by everyone in the practice; physically, mentally and emotionally. This is genuinely a safe space. They will truly help you heal in every way; body, mind and soul. Please note: Dr. Collins-Bride is my main provider but due to scheduling conflicts I have been personally seen/adjusted by Dr. Garcia (Freddy) and Dr. Trowbridge (Mara) as well! They were all very professional and knew my name/read my file so they knew exactly what I was going through/my treatment plan and still gave me the care and attention that Dr. Collins-Bride has always shown me. read more

My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Brandon for over a year at the Source Chiropractic Berkeley, and consider his work supporting pivotal positive change not only for our physical well being, but emotional growth as well. Form the moment you step into the space, you see/feel an environment of open healing at work, with staff at the front who welcome you with a smile and genuine interest in how you are each time you visit. Empathy, compassion and intuition based on experience are at the core of Dr. Brandon's work. I came to Dr Mara pretty desperate. I've had multiple surgeries over the past few years, and everything in my body was extremely tight and inflamed. Dr Mara has a gift for seeing the whole body and person, and then honing in on where to start to get everything untangled in a very gentle way. For example, I went with an extremely tight and sore neck, but it was through fascia release in my abdomen that I found the most relief in my neck (along with adjustments of course). That's right, she also does fascia release, cranial work, and energy work. I can see why Dr. Mara chose The Source to work with. They are more than a chiropractic office, they are a wealth of resources. From videos, to stretching suggestions, to affordable yoga and breath work classes, they are truly a center for healing. I highly recommend setting up an initial consultation with Dr. Mara! She will recommend other doctors there if she feels like there might be a better fit. read more

I met Dr. Brian last year and we briefly talked about my back issues and concerns over my other problems, but didn't think to pursue treatment until recently. My chronic back pain was constantly flaring up and I've just been in a lot of pain lately so I finally thought to reach out to him and he explained everything to me and decided to just go for it. I've done my discovery exam and two adjustments so far and I'm excited to continue my sessions. I'm already feeling a difference from before I had my first adjustment! I've had chiropractors before who weren't as thorough, gentle, or effective (I'd leave my adjustments feeling even worse or a lot more sore than I came), so I'm really looking forward to see where I am after this treatment plan! read more

I've been coming in to The Source for a number of months now after initially complaining of a few kinks/knots in my back and instability of my knee after injury. Dr Brendan and the whole staff, especially Vanessa and Elaina, since then offered me a warm and hospitable and experience. Dr Brendan has been instrumental to helping my back get back to a normal level and my knees have been improving since then and I cannot thank him enough for all he's done with the adjustments and advice in helping me rehabilitate any and every injury or incident that causes harm to me. I highly recommend The Source for anyone in the area and they incentivize students to come in, to help with the stresses of school and life. 5 stars read more

First and foremost, please consult with your doctor, and/or physician before seeking chiropractic care and consultation. Now that's out the way, where do I start? The Source Chiropractic is new to me and new to Oakland as this place originally used to be a dojo! Wouldn't be ironic if I used to attend the dojo and then had to attend this place to fix my injuries from that dojo? Aha! Even though that isn't the case, still a funny thought/tangent - The review itself - The staff is friendly, greets you by name, and the ambiance is peaceful as it is serene, in addition to a very diverse and young group of chiropractic professionals ready to help with your needs. My reason for going was due to the deal they had for $110 which included a free consultation/diagnosis, t-shirt, and an hour massage, sweet deal! The diagnosis involved a full body breakdown of my stance, posture, footing, walking, lateral movement and photos with video analysis of what needed to be adjusted/improved. Soon after receiving my diagnosis by Dr. Brian, who is very professional, knowledgeable, patient, and has such a warm-spirited attitude, - he carefully has been working with me to get my posture, shoulders, lower back, and hip imbalance (tightness, stiffness, old sport injuries, sedentary work lifestyle) in alignment. It's been about 7 adjustments now and I feel like I could dress up like Batman, fight crime all night and then go to a reggaeton club thereafter! Thank you! Even though my journey isn't complete (payment issues from me- full transparency - they offer pay per visit, or 6 month payment plan or pay in full option) I'm excited for what's to come at the end. Thank you to everyone at this practice for your time, patience, and professionalism, you truly have a great thing going on and I can't wait to hear, see and read other reviews from people with the same and/or greater visit/experience. Thank you! read more

The Source Chiropractic Berkeley - Dr. Brian Harper Business Card- The Source Chiropractor - Chiropractors Near Me - Berkeley, California

I've been going to Dr. Brendan for almost 6 months and I can say without a doubt that he (and the caring, supportive community at The Source) have helped me fundamentally change my relationship with my body. I went in because I was having hip pain. Not only is the pain miles better, now I have more energy, I'm standing taller, and I am much more active than before. Dr. Brendan is warm, compassionate, and can perceive energy flows in my body. I feel so safe and supported with every adjustment. I've also gotten a huge benefit from the events I get access to as a member of The Source. I especially loved the Healing Essentials workshop that taught me that healing is learning, and growth is opportunity. I definitely want to go back to Dr. Brendan's monthly breathwork event, that was a connected, introspective, and clearing ritual. I've recommended a number of friends to the Source, and everyone raves about the fundamental shifts that can happen when you seek the care and support of these talented chiropractors (and their fabulous staff.) I highly recommend checking out the Source Berkeley if you are dealing with any ache and pains, or if you want to be more in touch with your body, nervous system, and essence. Thank you, Dr. Brendan and team!! I'm so grateful to be part of the Source community! read more

After years of headaches (since mid 2020) from mask wearing, jaw jutting and just overall poor head and neck alignment I am headache free! I have been seeing Dr. Brendan for almost a year and my overall wellness and health has significantly improved under his and the Source's team's care. I had been all over the Bay Area trying out chiropractors for the last several years and The Source has been the most helpful with ALL of my needs. They are the perfect marriage of clinical and holistic healing. The past chiropractors were "just okay", and I never felt like I had received the attention my body and mind needed until my friend referred me to The Source and Dr. Brendan. Once you are under their care, you receive endless support and resources. If you have a specific problem area, or even multiple like myself, they will be sure to address it all and explain to you how your body responds to the adjustments they make. They are encouraging with the person's overall well-being, but are also respectful with the type of care you prefer to receive. They really do cater to your needs and wants, and I truly feel they have met mine! I have also seen other doctors whenever Dr. Brendan was unavailable, and they ALL are so great. I'm really impressed with how The Source's team is so cohesive as a unit and I can tell they choose their doctors and staff wisely to deliver superb service. I can also speak for my Dad who is in his 70s and has had sciatica and other problems (arthritis, lower back pain) and Dr. Brendan and team has helped him tremendously. He follows their recommended at-home exercises and has become more flexible and he always raves about how pain-free he has been since listening to Dr. Brendan's advice. I have been recommending The Source to all my family and friends. If you have been searching for the right chiropractor, look no further than The Source! read more

I was having a lot of pain in my lower back and decided to seek help. When I got there, I was very well attended to. The place is great. However, it takes an hour of conversation for 10 minutes of adjustment, I paid a certain amount and I deserved to leave there with a relieved back, but I was so stressed about having paid a certain amount and not having received any treatment for it that the next day I looked for another chiropractor. read more

I honestly wish I could give this place more stars. I've been a patient since August and it has been a transformational experience in such a short time. I've had 6 knee surgeries, which caused me to overcompensate and feel pain in other areas of my body (i.e. heel, hip, back). Since starting at The Source, some days I forget I've ever had surgery, I feel so good. The staff is super dope and their energy is always good. It's a beautiful space and it just feels good in there. I work with Dr. Brendan aka the Hope Dealer but I have also worked with Dr. Freddie and he is equally as amazing. I would recommend them to anyone and the price point is super affordable. read more

I assumed it was just part of getting older. Then, I found out about The Source Chiropractic while at a community event and decided to try a few sessions. Five months later, its one of the best decisions I made for my health. I normally see Dr. Brendan (always good) but today I saw Dr. Jordan and he was wiggling my ankles and legs and then asked, "Does this knee bother you?" It was my left knee. I said, "Yeah, that's my funky knee". Then he did a simple adjustment on it. It didn't feel like much at the moment but now I'm doing my before-bed stretches and putting weight on it in a lunge stretch and I haven't been able to do that in a long time without this strange discomfort, like something was sliding around. I've been curious about it for years and he just picked up on it like it was nothing. I still don't know what the heck was up with it but I know where to go for it :) read more
