I asked for a callous removal service, was told "it's fine you don't need it" I asked for it again, it was what I booked. She did not even try, just rubbed my feet a few times with the scraper. I said I had an allergy, was ignored. I asked her to not add the scrub I might be allergic to into the tub, she did it anyway. I'm she repeatedly attempted to shove the product in my face, telling me to "smell it!" The product that might give me anaphylaxis. To sum it up: terrible. First of all, i called to ask about prices and they said they needed my information to make an appointment because there were too many people. I got there and i was literally the only person. Immediately i felt the place was dirty.. i sat down and they started working on my feet right away, did NOT open a new pack of tools which was seriously alarming. I felt bad so i didnt say anything. I could tell right away it wasn't gonna be a good pedicure and it was not. You can see the nail polish is literally all over my skin. I told them i wanted my toes square and some were rounded some were square. For my pedicure i wanted an extra coat as you can see from my photo there were bumps and indents that even one more coat couldve covered up but they guy doing my nails literally argued with me telling me i didnt need more... like why not just do an extra coat..? Very happy with my gel manicure, I'm interested to see how long it'll last. Overall I felt like the process was slightly rushed but the results weren't terrible so I'm going to spin it as "efficient." My mother did a full set of acrylics and I thought the shaping and length was perfect! My daughter did a regular manicure and she was nervous about the cuticle clipping but the technician was very gentle and checked in with her multiple times which was so compassionate. My sister did pink gel and they look good. Upon further inspection my mother's nails are a bit chunky/lumpy, not smooth or even and she wants to find a place to fix them tomorrow :( read more

If I could give this place zero stars that's exactly what I would do. I was looking for a nail salon since I'm new to the Frederick area. I showed up 3 hours before the time the salon was set to close as a walk in. Yelp and the front door say that walk-ins are welcome. When I walked in the man in the front desk/work area asked me what he could help me with today. I told him I wanted a French Manicure, French Pedicure, and to get my eyebrows waxed. He asked if I was going to use fake nails and asked about other products. I told him I was going to use my own nails and was not interested in a full set or gel. The employee then looked at his computer and said "no, I'm not going to do all that today, sorry, you go somewhere else." I said "excuse me?" And he continued to say "you don't have an appointment and I'm not doing all of that to you today, come back tomorrow or just go somewhere else." After telling me to go somewhere else for the second time I pretty much felt like I was being kicked out. This place was still open for another 3 hours, there was only 1 other person waiting in the front and he had multiple employees working. I walked out and went to another place with treated me MUCH better. What made me the most upset is that he didn't even give me a reason or showed any type of sympathy. Don't have a sign that says "walk ins welcomed" and then turn down business. I took my $100 and went somewhere that knows how to treat customers. I WILL NOT RETURN TO THIS PLACE. The polish job itself wasn't bad + the technician was friendly, but my cuticles were cut without being asked first (painful) and they peeled terribly a few days after the manicure, making them look even worse than before the manicure. A quick drying oil was also applied to the nails before I left the salon, which caused weird little bubbles in the polish. read more

I've been to Princess Nail and Spa twice now - both times with my mom for a pedicure and brow/lip waxing. Their services are great - no complaints! The spa pedicure is always relaxing with an added massage at the end and their waxing is on point. I went to another nail place in the Frederick area and they waxed off half of my eyebrow and the pedicure was sub par. I tried to go to a second nail salon and they cancelled my appointment without letting me know. So now I go here and I love it. The place is clean and affordable. Was here visiting after a death in the family (I grew up around here and come to visit often because my family still lives here, but I live in Brooklyn) and wanted a nice pedicure to take my mind off of things. Kim took amazing care of me - she gave me an incredible pedicure for $25 & even cut my toenails in a way that made me realize they had been digging into my skin, so not only do they look great, but they feel amazing! Great massage and just overall very attentive. As a side note, I came around 3 on Saturday, but they were busy and asked if I could come back at 5, which was totally fine for me - but, you may want to call ahead and check to see if they're busy/schedule an appointment. Trust me, it's worth it! My only issue is that I strongly prefer Essie (I'm a bit of an addict!) and they didn't have a great Essie selection - maybe only 8 colors? Honestly, nothing I'll lose sleep over at night, but if you're hoping for the latest Essie shades, you may want to bring them yourselves. But, great OPI selection! This was my first visit and I am so happy that I listened to the Yelp reviews! The name scared me a little... there's just something about the word "princess" that made me doubt lol. Like I said though, I am so happy I took the chance and went in. I called ahead of time to schedule an appointment. This worked out well since there was only 2 people working, and both were finishing with clients when I came in. I'm just not a fan of sitting and waiting an hour or more for my turn, I'm sure I'm not alone. I didn't get his name, but the man who was working took care of me. I got a manicure with gel polish. He paid very close attention to every detail of my nails. I don't think my cuticles have ever looked so good! He was able to give me a perfect shape (a roundish square), and didn't mess with my length (which I always get nervous about since they are my real nails). They look really good and are exactly how I will be getting them in the future. Leaving, my nails feel really strong and look clean. I couldn't ask for anything more. Had a fantastic spa pedicure and gel manicure at this lovely salon tucked into the shops near the Burger King at the end of Route 40W/old Camp Road. Six Spa pedicure chairs and 8 nail stations--lots of room for a girlfriends day out or a last minute stop. Shop is neat and clean and the owners are so friendly and truly care about their business. I had a great conversation with Qwan about nail products and pros and cons of different options. Loyalty cards are offered to encourage repeat business with bonus points for using debit or cash vs. credit cards -- small businesses often suffer from heavy transaction fees charged by credit card processors. The owners were very nice and were willing to stay a little late to finish up our pedicures and manicures. They have a wonderful selection of gel colors. And do a great job. I arrived Saturday evening around 5:45 p.m. The horrendous rain had kept most "walk-ins" away but the appointment book was chocked full. I received a spa pedicure and gel manicure for what I considered to be a reasonable price of $60. The salon was extremely clean and Kim did everything she could to make sure I was satisfied. They both answered our many questions, cheerfully told us that yes, of course we could have any design we wanted, made suggestions, and kept us delightfully entertained and socialized as we were buffed, clipped (with clean, personalized tools!), polished, filed, designed, massaged, and paraffin-dipped for an incredibly low price - much lower than we paid at our other salon for such glorious service. Bebe has always taken her time and done a fantastic job with my manicures and pedicures. The pedicures themselves looked great, but my guest didn't feel the least bit relaxed because every couple minutes, they'd ask her to move her legs or feet around. Also I understand that being on time is important to the flow of business, but it was awkward when we were sitting at the drying station and one of the staff came up to us and asked if we were first-time guests. I have finally found my new nail salon after 15 years of going to different places. Kim was amazing. She really went above and beyond with the pedicure and manicure. Most places just want to rush you along. Not Kim. She did three coats for the gel manicure, and made sure I was under the UV light long enough. She said you don't want to rush it.
