Visited Bethlehem with a large group of 12 of us and needed a place to eat. Looked online and found this steakhouse that has great prices, good reviews and a lots of space inside. I made a reservation in advance. Once there I ordered the calamari, the stuffed mushrooms and a pomegranate frozen margarita to start. Everything was great but the stuffed mushrooms really stood out- they had crab meat inside and were delicious. For entree I got the NY strip with the loaded baked potatoes and a Cesar salad. Everything was cooked perfectly and flavorful . I really loved the service , everyone was so nice , I love how they accommodated my large group and the pricing was excellent. We were not greeted for 15 minutes from the time we were seated. It was busy so I will not decrease my rating but we've not had this experience before. We've been here five other times on our way to our sons college golf championshipsOur waitress was very sweet and did a great job. We made a reservation for New Year's Eve dinner. Our waitress was great and let us know upfront that there was a 50-minute hold time, so we would need to order more quickly than usual. We all ordered the prime rib with different sides, along with fried calamari and potato skins as appetizers. The calamari was just okay and not at all like the photos I've seen in other reviews--it seemed to be cooked in cornmeal rather than flour. The potato skins were also just okay. Unfortunately, the prime rib was very bland and lacked flavor, and it took over an hour for our dinner to arrive. I had another restaurant booked for New Year's Eve but chose this place thinking it would be the better option. I honestly wish I had gone with my original choice. I had the pleasure of attending a 70th birthday party at Prime this evening. The food and drinks were very good. We had a limited menu to choose from for dinner which included, filet mignon, pasta primavera, chicken, salmon. Everyone seemed pleased with their selections. Mine was delicious! Another highlight of the evening was our serving staff. These young women, Sage and Brianna, could easily have been overwhelmed, but, no, they both remained calm, collected and personable. I also added an Expresso martini = no alcohol added. When I asked the waiter he replied that's the after dinner drink version. Well either version is $12 & I did not receive alcohol in mine. We came here for our anniversary dinner with family. We had a wonderful dinner. Several of us had the Thursday 3 course special. You can not beat this deal!! The favorite salad among the group was the wedge salad, I had the pulled pork mac and cheese as an appetizer. It was delicious . The mac and cheese was gooey and cheesy, not dried out. The pulled pork was tender with just a hint of barbecue sauce. For the main course, i had the steak medallions. They were cooked perfectly and the demi-glace was rich and delicious! I don't know what was on it but it definitely was not lump crabmeat, at the very best it was canned queen crab and there wasn't enough to even mention. I was very disappointed. Disappointing Experience at Prime Steakhouse Just left Prime Steakhouse, and unfortunately, it's not what it used to be. We were "greeted" by the hosts -- and I use that term loosely. Not very welcoming at all. Our waitress was fantastic, but the food was a major letdown. We had six people at our table: three ordered steaks, one had chicken, and one had pasta with seafood. The food arrived cold across the board. In fairness, larger tables can be tricky to time, but pasta should be cooked last so it's fresh -- not overdone and lukewarm. The seafood in the penne was cold (never pleasant), and the chicken was dry. Overall, it was a very unsatisfactory meal. After years of dining there and making great memories, it's disappointing to say we likely won't be returning anytime soon. read more

Especially want to single out Val in the bar. a great lady that will take care of you and make you feel at home when a stranger. Just to be clear, the service was great. The bartenders were warm, courteous, and accommodating. I went on Thanksgiving, or I suppose like Valentine's Day and New Year's, is not a good day to go to a restaurant and judge it objectively. But the Thanksgiving dinner I had was just so bland and boring, that I literally wanted to go purge and go somewhere else and have another dinner. Everything was just squishy and tasteless. Once the bread cooled off, it was stiff and dry. The fat and calories probably cut a good eight months off my life, and added no pleasure. This used to be one of our favorite restaurants in Bethlehem but it has been very different the past 2 visits. We were there months ago and Sunday this past weekend. These last 2 visits were filled with unsatisfactory service and quality. I ordered my steak medium and it was serviced well. Then the worst part was waiting 2 hours for our meals and even the manager had no apologetic response. It will be a long, long time until we will ever try it here again. Overall this restaurant has been very consistent in serving well cooked meals at respectable prices. They know how to do steaks and prime rib. The NY Strip and Prime Rib are of high quality and cooked exactly as ordered. The drink and cocktail menu is not extensive but offers a nice variety to choose from. Appetizers are your standards and some that are not so common to find. Well worth trying some. Soups are very good, especially the French Onion. Highly recommend you try. Portions are good and service has always been great. The atmosphere is relaxed and you should be comfortable dining there for any occasion. I sent them 3 messages, below, and was told they'd get back to me. That was 2 weeks ago. I gave them 1 star bc the customer service was worse than their food. They simply don't care. My husband and I rarely go out to eat but decided to for our 30th anniversary. We've been to your restaurant many times, usually with a party of at least 8, and generally were very happy with our meals... until tonight. My husband and I both ordered chicken Oscar and what a disappointment. Our chicken was DRY, very over cooked, there was almost no crab meat. The crab is usually sweet and the 6 little pieces we got had no flavor. It was weird, it literally tasted like nothing. Since it was a special occasion, I opted not to make a big deal about it. I asked for extra sauce so it was edible and the first thing I was told was, " it's going to cost extra". I told him to forget it, it was only because the chicken was so dry. He said he'd talk to management. Next thing I know he comes with a take out box and bag. That was it. When we come as a group, our bill is at least 400 dollars. Very, very, disappointed that one of the few times my husband and I get out alone, it was such a sup par meal. I'm not sure I'd risk coming back, especially with a large group. read more

Probably not the beat rating to give but basing it on the holiday menu and what we chose. I wouldn't have a party there. It was VERY unorthodox. I had a celebration for my son's Communion. I brought the cake the night before and told them to be careful with it and I wanted it displayed when my guests involved (about 20 or so people). They displayed my cake all right -- completely smashed! I had to walk around and show my guests a photo of what the cake was supposed to look like after paying $200 for the cake! All the girl did was hand me an icing tube and take off the extra cake plate charge. No apology from a manager or call after I wrote and complained. I thought we were going to be in that nice room with the fireplace too and linens. No linens. Bare tables like a steakhouse. I came the night before and set up where people were sitting with cards. They messed that up too and people were squeezed into the wrong tables! I did this to accommodate people of all different sizes they would be comfortable. Went for Valentines Day, fixed menu. The servers were great, working so hard. unfortunately the food was off. we went early, 3:45 for dinner so I don't think they were running out of food. Ordered stuffed mushrooms, when they came, we couldn't find any mushrooms, just scoops of filling with some chopped up mushroom pieces hidden underneath. Couldn't believe what I was seeing. Then came the wedge salad. A hunk of iceberg with core still there, blue cheese dressing and some chopped up tomatoes. I have never seen a wedge without bacon so I asked for some, which they brought from the salad bar. Then came the baked potatoes, which should have had sour cream and chives, but came with sour cream and a handful of chopped green onions on top. The ribeye was thankfully very good. Then the dessert for 2 came smashed and enough for one small child. So disappointing. Have been there a few times before, but quality has gone downhill. This year we made reservations for Thanksgiving dinner, due to me having knee surgery and being unable to put weight on my leg to cook a meal. We had 5 adults, a 10 year old ( which ordered an adult meal) and 5 year old that ordered from the kids menu. They had the traditional Turkey meal- which included a Caesar or house salad, meal includes Turkey white meat on top of homemade stuffing, with gravy, a cup of sweet corn, cranberry sauce , and whipped sweet potatoes ( which was delicious ) everyone else in our party opt out and had whipped garlic mashed potatoes. Each meal came with a slice of apple , pumpkin or apple Carmel cheese cake. Everyone brought home there dessert. ( so no pictures of the dessert) Granddaughter had Mac and cheese. We had a great experience here! We called same day and we were able to get a reservation for a party of 4. The entire staff was super friendly. Our server had a great understanding of the menu, the specials, and answered all questions perfectly. I cannot remember her name but she was shorter with light brown hair, and did a fantastic job. The host and managers were very friendly and quick at their jobs too! The food itself was so savory. Steaks were cooked to temps, and the way it was displayed on the plate was perfect. I got the shrimp and my partner got the salmon. I would have gotten better at our normal diner. We did look at the steaks, but the price jumped from the rib eye being $24 in the summer to $54 now. What a fantastic find, work week, in Allentown, I was looking for a good place to have a nice dinner, not many around in this area. We had Bob as our waiter He was awesome! Thursdays they have a prefix menu ($29 3 course meal) which coincidentally we were there on a Thursday. I had the filet mignon medallions, grilled asparagus, lettuce, wedge, calamari, decadent chocolate cake and the bourbon tea as cocktail. Everything was fantastic! We are regular patrons of Prime and usually enjoy whatever we order. However the past sunday, Easter Sunday, three of us ordered the ham steak special. It was terrible. the ham was sliced thin and way ovecooked. It was tough as rubber and very salty. It looked like it had been under the heat lamps too long. The vegtables were ok but even the dessert was off. Not up to your usual standards. We don't like to complain and didn't want to wait to oreer another seletion so we paid the bill, took everything home and tthrew tthe ham away. I hope this was just a one off experience. Your regular dinners are usually great. Even your Thanksgiving special was good so I'm not sure what hapooend on Easter. read more

The Prime rib quesadilla and salad is delicious. It is necessary to split this entree because it is too big for just one customer. The meat is so tender that it just melts in your mouth. Worst experience I've had at a restaurant. We went on a Tuesday night. 10 min wait to sit down which wasn't bad at all. And that was where anything positive I can say stopped. There were 3 of us (took my cousin out cause he was having a baby) and we didn't see our waiter for 30 minutes. He finally stopped by and gave us waters. We were ready to order but he had to come back. Took another 15 min to get back and take our order. It took another hour for our food to arrive. We had actually gotten up to walk out, and as we said we were leaving our food showed up. We decided to stay, but noone came over to check on us or apologize for the wait. I can't say for the other two meals but mine was horrifically bad. The sweet potato was mush. And the chicken was sawdust. The vegetable medley was ok, that was the best part of the meal. We never saw our waiter. Didn't stop to see how our food was, nothing. Didn't refill our drinks, he whizzed by a few times to drop off a beer (for my cousin, not the expecting mother) because he wanted that higher check. Other than that zero interaction until he dropped off the check at the end. He didn't even ask if we wanted dessert (which I didn't, if the food was that bad I can't imagine how bad the dessert was). And just overall acted like he had other things to do than actually wait our table. There are way way way better places to go. Go to Blue. Go to Texas Roadhouse (which has fantastic service). Go to Edge in Bethlehem. Even Longhorn steakhouse was way better. Do NOT go here! read more
