My girls had an absolute blast going to see the new lion king movie. We decided to go try out the theatre in red bluff instead of Redding since it's literally $1.50 cheaper PER ticket than the Redding one. And there were 5 of us. At this location a matinee showing is only $8.00 while in Redding the cheapest ticket for a matinee movie is $11.50 and the prices go up substantially from there depending on if you want the surround sound or the fancy reclining seat. This theatre here is simple and old school. And absolutely perfect for me and my families budget. Trust me, the buttered popcorn is just as delicious!! I highly recommend any local folks try this place out as an alternative to the fancy chain theatre in Redding! Your pocketbook will thank you!! read more

Great service, friendly staff. I was lucky enough to have the whole room to myself. Staff even restarted the movie for me since I missed a few minutes. Awesome experience. read more

I have been a patron here for many years and am so spoiled. They came thru during worst of pandemic and made up a drive-in - no other theater did that. The personnel are great - very friendly and helpful. A great selection every week - something for everyone's taste. Their veteran's movie benefits warm my heart. Thank you, Prime Cinemas. Everything I wrote in the previous review is still very very true. This place should do seminars to show what customer service is. The last time my wife and I went to the movies, I noticed a sign that said "Prime Cinemas Supports Our Troops". Upon further inspection, they don't just love troops, they love veterans, and the families of veterans. Here's the deal they have: The Prime Cinemas Military Discount Policy: For Veterans & Active Duty as well as their spouses and children 17 and under. Requires valid military or veteran ID. EVERY day, EVERY film is $5.75. spouses and children of veteran or service member get free small popcorn. Tuesdays, FREE small popcorn and soda with paid admission. Not only that, on your birthday you get in for free too! SO, yesterday was my stepson's 13th birthday. we went in, he got in for free, they even gave the discount to the 2 friends my stepson had with him. At this point, I'm happier than a pig knee deep in manure. However, the story gets even better. as the boys got settled, I ran back out and asked the manager if they could sing happy birthday to my stepson. They got the people in the theatre to sing along. He was embarrassed... I fulfilled my obligation as a parent to make them happy, and also embarrass them whenever possible. The boys loved the movie, and I was a happy padre. Here's the video of them singing happy birthday to my stepson: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JiuHg4yOE1k All in all, This theatre understands and embraces customer service. I love this place and hope they stick around in RB for many many years to come! Getting the discounts for being a Veteran, and the level of customer service they provided is one of the reasons why Red Bluff truly is a great place to live. Thank you Prime Cinemas Red Bluff for being an exceptional business in our town! read more

This little theater is a Gem because the fact that it's so small the popcorn is usually quite fresh the seats are pretty comfy The staff is always respectfully dressed and very polite and friendly. The Terrific Tuesdays are a nice bargain and the bathrooms and carpets are Nice and Clean. Its our Go To Date night. read more

My daughter and I are both seniors and we chose two different movies she was 15 minutes early for hers and I was 30 minutes early for mine we went into a showing of the grinch to wait for our movies. An usher asked me for my tickets and asked us to leave. I purchased two tickets for the grinch. I felt management was being petty. Although there are several larger nicer theaters around I have always came here because I wanted to support my local business. I will not be back. read more

Rude girl "supervisor" at front desk sitting on her butt doing nothing. The place is extremely small and had garbage on the floor. My boyfriend and I do not live in this town. He is here for work. We wanted to watch a movie together since I came to visit him with our son but were told we couldn't because we wanted to watch a rated R movie. They have a policy that no child under the age of 7 are allowed in Rated R movies ... our son is 3 months old. My boyfriend goes in after I walk out and asks to speak to a manager apparently the girl was the closest they had to one. Another boy tells my boyfriend that it's not about the age but about the child possible crying during the film. I dont see how that correlates, a child could cry in a pg movie or any other movie. No wonder this ran down little cinema was a ghost town when we walked in. They obviously dont want people to come in. Definitely do not recommend this place and will never step foot in that unkept place again. read more

Ths theater is not one of my favs. Forget that RB is not one of my fav cities of ALL tm lol but ths theater...meh. nobody is ever here. Every tm I have gone to visit ths theater, the entire hs bn MINE, ALL MINE. That's kinda creepy. I've bn here lk 5 or 6xs. I realize I'm obnoxious but hey...?! WTH?! Whr are the people?! I'm lk terrified to buy concessions for fear they're lk week old donuts or something- idk. I always ask for a ice water w straw. Lame. Shut-up. I KNOW. The floors are sticky and the theater seats reek of one hundred yr old buttered flavored popcorn and a**. Seriously- its nasty. Staff nvr hs anything to do and is annoyed to hvt do something. Whatever. I want to hv that same attitude but 2 wrongs don't right and it jst mks u a d*ck and me an a**. One may lk gd on U but the othr definitely NOT a gd lk for me. read more

Great Cinema. No membership required now. Prices are lower and movie selection is great. No reason to go out of town to see a movie. Check out the latest show and enjoy some popcorn with real butter. read more

Thanks for removing the " membership" part of your business. I obviously wasn't the only one who thought it " too much" for this town. Now that things are back to the normal, my family and I are thrilled to be back in your business. read more

I am highly biased-- I am the Social Media Liason. We need to change this to Prime Cinemas Red Bluff. This changed hands to new ownership 2 years ago. read more

We love this theater! We have been coming here for the last 5 or 6 yrs. It's about the same distance from Orland as Chico but a super ez drive right up the 5 Frwy. (about 30 miles) We like the fact that it is usually not crowed to the point you can't find a decent seat. We're business owners ourselves and know what it's like to compete with the big guys. The movie selection is good and the prices reflect small town friendliness. The staff is very accommodating and the concession prices are way below the "big city" theaters. Highly recommend. read more

I am very unhappy with this theater. We have went here for years and like to support local business. But they decided to make it a rule that if you buy the large popcorn you cannot get a refill until you bring back the empty popcorn bag. My husband and I differ on adding butter so we always bring an empty bag to refill the popcorn right after buying it. But now they decided that wasn't acceptable, even though it doesn't cost them anymore. Who makes up these rules that puts off customers?? It was enough to make us leave without giving them our business. We don't plan on going back. read more

I love the prices the snacks the movies are a fantastic selection I personally the scary movies and there is always one out for me able to see or comedy, you name it and the employees are very kind to the customers. Red Bluff may be a small place but we they have an amazing move theater. I love this place. It's super amazing I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR A MOVIE. read more

So I guess to make it cost effective I should bring along 5 friends whenever I want to see a movie. It is pretty sad when two tickets to see a matinee is only 5.50 cheaper than 6 tickets. read more

This theatre is now "membership based" and in order to see a movie at least one person in your party must be a member. If no one in your party has a monthly pass then one of you must purchase a day pass for fourteen dollars. They justify the price by saying you can see as many movies as you want to during that one day. But really who sees more than one movie in a day? Not too many of us have time for that. So once you purchase this day pass the other members of your party get a ticket and a "reduced price" (which changes depending on the movie). We tried to watch Guardians of the Galaxy and it was going to cost $14 for a day pass plus $8.50 for a guest pass. I'm told this is a last ditch effort to keep the movie theater open, but if this is their solution they may as well just close. I'd rather drive to Anderson. read more

Used to be good, but apparently within the last week they stopped offering refills 30 minutes after the movie starts. I don't know about you but I can't finish a large popcorn and/or large drink in 30 minutes. I wish they would have told me that when purchasing so I could have save $10-$15 and just got a cup of water. read more

Had good movies and good price great place to take the family to I highly recommend it to go and check it out you won't be sorry

I was given readmittance passes "good any day of the week including special engagements" as compensation for their inability to play Penguins of Madagascar during the power outage that occured during last year's storm. I was told upon receiving them there was no expiration, and provided it wasn't a premier it could be used for any movie. After being informed they weren't valid for Star Wars the force awakens ,I asked to receive my monetary value back of which these were to cover. I was further informed they have no way to issue a refund as there is no way to provide proof of ticket value. All THAT COP OUT SAYS TO ME IS YOUR COMPANY LACKS BASIC COURTESY IN HONORING YOUR OWN WORD. You will never receive my patronage again, and I will keep these "REDEEMABLE" passes and continue to EVERYONE I fall into theatrical conversation with about your service. In particular, thank you to the 5:00 pm staff and on shift manager for being so gracious. Truly a worth while experience. read more

This is a bad policy to join so that the movie house can insure the money paid by a customer weather they go to a movie or not...If you pay cash you must pay for 6 months in advance. bull. they do not except cash only credit cards which they take your money out of it every month...foolish people...I plan to go to Anderson or Redding the movies are cheaper and at Park marina the movies cost $1.50 for any movie any day all week....very good deal....that is my choice... read more

I live between Red Bluff and Los Molinos and only go to 5 or 6 movies a year. I went to see "Guardians of the Galaxy" today. Imagine my surprise when I was informed that the Red Bluff Prime Cinemas movie theater was now a "members only" theater, and that my Prime Cinema gift card (purchased in December 2013) could only be used towards the purchase of a membership. FOURTEEN DOLLARS for a "day membership" to see one movie might be expected for a red carpet premiere in New York, but for a movie that has been in theaters for a couple of weeks, $14 is highway robbery. I agree with Tracy K's review, - there is a SEVERE lack of clear pricing provided at the theater, and the staff attempts at explaining the membership only make things worse - I figure by the time the staff was able to coherently explain the new membership policy, I would have missed the first half of the movie I was there to see. If I had not had a gift card, I would have left and gone to see "Guardians of the Galaxy" in Anderson on another day. Also, there is no mention of the new "membership" policy on the messages when calling the theater for movie times. I have no problem with Prime Cinemas selling memberships to frequent movie goers, but they should leave the single ticket option for those of us who don't feel the need to go to the movies more than a few times a year. In my case, it doesn't really matter since I will NEVER go to the Red Bluff Prime Cinema again. Valley Cinema at the Anderson outlets will now get my business. More movies available there, more in 3D, and the concession prices are MUCH better than Red Bluff. read more

the popcorn was stale and did not taste very good, could no eat it. too bad you could not enjoy a movie and a fresh bag of popcorn...

Stupid policy of $19 for a monthly membership or $14 for a single with out any one to go to the movie with. I left without buying a ticket and will not return!! For that price, I will wait until a movie comes out on DVD and buy it then!!! read more

Fairly standard for a small theater, the video and audio quality of the movie we saw (TMNT, 8/9/14) was good, premises was cleanly. Limited parking, concessions seemed a little high. My major complaint, the members-only policy. The expense is not that high for regular movie goers, but it doubles the cost for people who only go to the movies once a month. Also, there is a SEVERE lack of clear pricing provided at the theater and the staff attempts at "explaining" only compounded the problem. I think I'd rather save the "member fees" and spend them on the gas to drive to another venue. read more

Here 's the story, returned the nasty popcorn, and the girl belittle me in front of 5 other people, I was so shocked, I'll I wanted was a new bag of corn, it would of been nice. I had to finally ask if she is going to get me a new bag or give me my money back. Decide.. Then she tells me that someone started a rumor that they had bad popcorn, I was so shocked, because I had no idea, considering I don't go to the movies that often. Wow, things not to say to a customer. Never tell your stores business to customers.. The kid (young man) was kind enough to get me a new bag and he was thanked. I hope she learned to never argue with someone that is a customer, with others standing around in auhhhh, staring at her.. read more
