The picture and the sound is fantastic, the place is clean, the people are friendly and helpful, and the fully reclining lounge seats are very comfortable. You can now do everything online ahead of time through the Cinemark app. You can not only buy your tickets ahead of time and choose your seats, you can also buy your concessions ahead of time. They will send you a QR code that they scan to get into the theater, and then your concessions will be on a shelf directly behind the person that scans your ticket. My partner and I came to Redding for an errand so we bought the tickets in advance. Unfortunately we were 5-10 minutes late but we did our best trying to make it on time and find the place. Quickly we were told our tickets would not be valid or acceptable. I kindly ask if we could please get a new ticket or a refund due to being from out of town. The lady asked the manager and thankfully she said yes! This made our day and we are forever grateful and thankful. I would love to return after this kind gesture. The barest minimum movie theater. Some nice people work there but the place needs a remodel. Peeling seats, poor projector quality compared to other theaters, limited amount of seats, the popcorn is really hit or miss. I have visited about a dozen different Cinemark locations over the last 20 years and this is the most neglected and low quality and it also is one of the most expensive locations ticket wise compared to other much newer/nicer Cinemarks. Again, the only thing I like about this location is the employees even if some of them are poorly trained especially around Cinemark Movie Club. People were super nice and we had great service in the concession line. Only issue is that it was SUPER FREEZING! Like uncomfortably freezing. It almost made it unbearable to finish the showing. We did have heaters in the seats but even that was not enough to make you comfortable. I should have known something was amiss when the people in front of us going into the theater both had comforters. I thought, that seems a little excessive, little did I know I should have taken it as a warning!! Turn up the heat and let people enjoy a movie without wearing a parka!! read more

Walked in here to see the latest rendition of the Ghostbusters movie, I was thoroughly impressed with the place, it was huge, nice and clean, they had a good selection of snacks and even had some beer here to my surprise . I think this was a recent new addition/remodel (there were sample recliners in the movie theater lobby saying coming soon!), but we were delightfully surprised to find out that the theater had huge, comfy recliner seats. Seats are assigned when you purchase tickets (you can choose) but we had the whole theater to ourselves for a late night showing on a Monday night, so we just sat wherever when we walked in. An even bigger surprise (good thing my husband realized this, but we didn't find out until halfway through)....the seats are heated!!!!! The theater is pretty cold so it was a nice, fancy touch...even a little too hot at times, but you can turn it on/off yourself. Luxury theater seating for a normal movie ticket price ($9.25). read more

My elderly mom was watching DOG on March 13 around 2:30 and started to violently get sick. She, unfortunately, made a mess. A kind female attendant came to her aide. My mom asked for help with her car. Asking if someone could bring it around to the side exit for her because she came in without her walker. The girl was very kind and got another coworker possibly a manager to get my moms car. They tried to help her to the car. She declined their help, embarrassed as she was covered in vomit. I appreciate their help and consideration for my elderly mom, while she still claims her independence, knowing that kind people will help her makes my heart at ease. read more

They did not let me in because I didn't have a car and was carrying a backpack and a grocery bag. They discriminated their clients based on unreasonable justifications. I am visiting Redding for only a weekend and I decided to go to the movies. I was in the Starbucks nearby and decided to walk there, also because I didn't rent a car. The ticket vendor simply told me they do not allow backpacks or grocery bags inside. I never heard of a movie theater having such rules. And I live in NYC, where I never heard of anything remotely similar to that. read more

March 13, 2020 Day 1 of COVID-19 National Emergency Came to watch "Onward" by Disney Pixar for my birthday. We got on and reserved our seats in the deluxe power Luxury Loungers on Thursday night since we'd be coming down from an hour away. The prices may have increased, but at least you get the seat you picked out, and it's waiting for you when you come in. We came in ten minutes before the movie, since we had no tickets to buy and our seats were picked out 24 hours earlier. The usher scanned our QR code and informed us that they are no longer enforcing the reserved seating and it was now "first come, first served", just like the 20th century! Our preferred seats were mostly open, and a kind couple agreed to move down a couple seats so we could sit together. The service was within acceptable parameters, the air was a decent temperature, the sound was loud, and the picture was clear, just a little bummed about the new seating policy. read more

Wife and i went to movies 14 to watch a 645 showing of "The curse of La Llorona" based on the on line information. When we showed up we were told that they where not showing it. They basically decided to play the Avengers End Game in every room available and did not bother updating the information on the internet and they basically told me that the internet is wrong and i needed to upload their app for the correct information. I dont blame the workers for this i blame the management. I understand your trying to fill every chair at the theater but next time update the info on the internet and dont tell me whats on the internet is wrong and that i need to download your app just because your too lazy to update the information. This could be a nice place to see a movie. The seats are comfortable and the staff on most occasions has been friendly and efficient. But... every single time I have been there, floors have been filthy. I have seen employees standing around chatting and not doing anything about the popcorn and candy wrappers that always seem to be on the floor of the lobby. Even more annoying, I recenlty went to a movie on a busy weekend night. I got in one of the very long lines at the concession stand. When I got to the front of the line and ordered a soda, I was told that I was in the bar line and I would have to get into a different line for a soda. When I asked why they didn't have a sign up to alert customers of this, I just got a blank stare with no additional explanation or apology. Lots of room for improvement here. read more

Loved their new lounge chairs. They recline electrically and leave you plenty of leg space, though we never had someone pass by us. Those chairs include electric seat warmers, too. We were in the XD theater which has great sound and video. They are making a movie experience fun again. read more

First movie for me since Covid and first time since theater was renovated. Very disappointed. Theater smelled like burnt popcorn. Trash cans were full and women's restroom smelled like pee. My husband said the men's restroom smelled like pee too. Probably won't go back. read more

Cinemark 14 (formerly Movies 10) gets my 5-star rating in part because it represents another Redding business willing to step up to the challenge of staying mainstream. As north-state residents know, local movie theaters tend become antiquated while they're milked of every last penny before people simply stop going. Cinemark 14 underwent a major renovation which among other features added 3D movie capabilities; completely new tiered seating rows with comfortable, reclining chairs; an updated arcade; and an overall facelift on the interior and exterior giving it a more modern appeal. With the addition of electronic ticket machines and easy ticket purchases with Fandango and the like, the overall wait time has decreased drastically for those spontaneous movie trips or huge, blockbuster movie viewings that would normally land you in a massively long line (even in Redding). Don't worry though, you still have to pay for it all - 2 large popcorns and 2 large drinks will run you well into the $20+ range. But with all the new Cinemark 14 amenities, I suddenly feel a little better about eating ridiculously over-priced popcorn while watching my favorite movies! read more

The reclining seats are nice if you get one; not all do. The seat warmers are an awesome idea too, that is assuming yours isn't broken. The snack bar has good offerings. This theatre is newly remodeled with reclining seats and seat warmers. In case you can't find the button, it's beneath the recliner button and has two settings-- red is warmest, push it again and it'll turn orange-- lowest, push it again and it'll turn off. It shuts off automatically after about 20 minutes. They serve alcohol as well as snack items like mozzarella sticks. The theaters are very clean! Join movie club if you're a regular and you'll save hundreds of dollars, no joke! You'll get 20% off concessions, no reservation fees and a free ticket every month! We moved away recently and I'm missing this theatre more and more. No one else compares! read more

I've somehow grown into the habit of watching a movie here every time I'm in Redding...which seems like a waste since there's so much outside nature to enjoy, but I think it's just cuz I'm on vacation, so why not? This Cinemark pretty nice - they have your standard arcade, movie theater food, and current movies. It makes it feel like Redding isn't totally out in the country (I mean, I guess it IS a city...lol). The only thing I don't really like is that you have to buy your food before you go into the theater area (meaning all the concessions are outside or the ticketed area). I mean, there is a SMALL concession stand once you get inside, but it's not always open. I guess that's not a huge deal, but makes it a little annoying. Also, the bathrooms are all located near exits, which sort of makes sense...except that they're not really centrally located, ALSO. Lol, maybe I'm just spoiled by bigger Bay Area theaters. These 3 stars stand for potential. This theater has everything it needs to be a great place to see a movie. However some much needed improvement is in order. Staff is polite, friendly, helpful this is good. But the first thing you notice when you enter the building is the smell of burnt popcorn. Dont look down, the floor is dirty and covered in trash. Next you buy you're snacks and sit down. The popcorn is stale and chewy, the soda is warm. Watch your movie and then leave before the lights come back on. The seats are old, pleather is cracking and mine had actual holes in the seat back. So in conclusion, a little attention to detail and this theater can be a great place to see a movie. read more

In Redding, CA there are honestly not a lot of choices for the Movie Theater. Lets face it, most theaters are owned by some huge conglomerate anyways. This Redding, CA theater is one of about 500 theaters owned by Cinemark. The Theater has 14 screens and has both 3D and XD Movie Screens. The Lobby has some video games as well as a concession area to get Popcorn, Soda, Candy and the like. There are Restrooms that are off the main lobby, that require you to walk around through the line to the movie theaters then back towards the restrooms. The restrooms are plenty large and clean, but lack paper towels, and use the air dryers for your hands. The popcorn is good, not the best I have had and not the worst. I'm more of a fan of having real butter on my Popcorn. A definite plus is the fact that they sell Coke Products. The theaters themselves are very clean, with most having rocking chairs and cup holders for your soft drink. Some of the screens are set up stadium style, and allow for hundreds to watch a hot new movie. I like the fact that they show some classic movies every now and then. Overall this is a very nice, clean, movie theater. read more
