I had a nice time at the Red Bluff Round-Up Rodeo. We went on the Sunday and it was a good turn out. I thought the Military flyover at the beginning was cool. It was a hot day and our seats for the first hour or so were in the sun but thankfully the sun went behind the grand stands and gave us much needed shade. I suggest to keep the sun in mind when you are planning to attend the rodeo and where you will be seated. I thought the variety of rodeo events was nice, although I would have liked to see the mutton busting with the kids riding the sheep. I have never seen cowboys dress up while riding before, during the "Wild Ride", we saw some very creative outfits but my favorite was "Forest Gump". I was disappointed by the lack of shopping offered and the booths they did have, most of them were selling the same things. I guess I was just expecting more options and things to shop around for. Lastly, I was not the biggest fan of the "Wild Horse Race" that was held at the end of the day on Sunday. I feel as though there was not a lot of lead up or introduction to the event. I had never been to the Red Bluff Rodeo before, so I didn't know what to expect. All of a sudden horses were running down the track while cowboys were running after them, shooting guns and yelling. It felt very chaotic, unorganized and just caught me off guard. read more

I was invited to the red bluff round-up during the three day rodeo. Friday night we danced with some of the contestants in the rodeo- drinks were on the lite side- I was super glad that we didn't spend too much money on drinks as we had a few before we entered. the second day I swore I would get some of the fair food- but I digress I ended up skipping that and drinking instead- we had tickets to the concert (semi big name country singer) after the second day of rodeo fun and sat outside- perfect for people watching. The last day before my journey home I finally decided to eat the food- I shared the box of fries and it was amazing (must put on your own salt. The opening ceremony each day is epic: it begins with ken flying in over the arena by parachute free fall of the american flag as the jets fly over- there may not be anything more patriotic than that. read more

Went to the Chris Lane show here, and it was horrible. In the lower corral there were probably 5 fights, and when security was told they said "cant do anything about it" felt extremely unsafe and at one point a man was pushing and shoving hurting a lot of people. Security was notified and again nothing was done. As well as extreme amounts of underage drinking. Will never go see anyone perform there again. Horrendous read more

Teri M. took the words right out of my mouth. We attended on Sunday and had a wonderful day, until the last event, The Wild Horserace. Those poor horses were absolutely terrified. Why the Red Bluff Round-Up would include such an event in their otherwise great rodeo is beyond comprehension, unless they are trying to teach us how NOT to treat animals. Shame on them for sanctioning such a thing. And the horse that Teri M. saw get injured had to be put down. read more

This is THE BEST rodeo you will ever go to! Probably 10,000 people there during the two days, lots of vendors, and wow what a rodeo. Completely pro (MAKE SURE you are there for Sunday's "Wild Ride" hahahah you'll love it!), staff is helpful, and if you can go around back to where the arena meets the race track you will find a corn dog stand (near where they are serving hard liquor drinks). OMG get one. and if you don't like corn dogs get one of their burgers. SUPER yummy. Yep, I'll be coming back to this rodeo every year. 2016 HERE I COME!! read more

My husband and I attended for the first time on day 2 of the rodeo! It was well done, music was great, announcers were great, everything was well timed! Than the last event of riding wild horses....we were on the side of the arena where we could see these magnificent animals scared out of their minds! Lots of people, loud noises, music.. these animals were visibly stressed. As minutes wore on, the handlers started hitting them with ropes and the saddles they were trying to put on them. In all fairness there was a team of three in purple that were talking to the animal trying to calm it down. We witnessed at least two horses so frantic they flipped over and fell in their desire to be freed from the abuse. One horse broke free, only to get tangled up in its rope and fall. I'm not sure the horse survived. I am sick to my stomach! This is not family entertainment, i feel for any parent raising children and trying to teach them kindness and respect for all life to witness what was seen at the rodeo tonight, it was traumatic for us as adults I can only imagine what the kids were feeling. read more

I am a long time fan of Rodeos, both as a participant and as a spectator and for the most part the Rodeo was great. I love a good Rodeo and Red Bluff didn't disappoint until the end. I was extremely saddened by the Wild Horse Race event at the end of the Rodeo. Billed as the "Grand Finale" this event ruined the entire Rodeo for myself and my party. Why would the Rodeo Association involve themselves with an organization that abuses such magnificent animals? I personally witnessed these horses being hit with ropes and blankets, slapped, kicked and punched, rocks thrown at them, bullied, spooked etc. all in the name of entertainment and to get them "amped up for the race". Unacceptable and inexcusable!! These horses were scared, angry, agitated and at this point out of control. I can't even begin to tell you the anger I felt and still feel by what I saw. Knowing my 3 year old Grand Daughter as well as hundreds of other children also saw grown men abusing animals in this fashion is unconscionable. These so called "Macho Men" were mistreating these animals so badly causing them to rear and fall which could have (and may have) resulted in the horses being hurt. Additionally, the rocks and dirt these men were throwing hit my Grand Daughter and myself and I'm pretty sure other people were hit also. It boggles my mind that the Round-Ups own "pick-up men" sat on there own mounts and witnessed this atrocity and did nothing to stop it. And this was after the Announcers stated how "well all the horses are treated on the Rodeo circuit". I find it hard to believe that the Red Bluff Round-Up President, Board of Directors, U. S. Representative, State Senator, Assemblyman, and the numerous Round-Up Sponsors would permit this type of event in their Rodeo and I implore them all to stop this senseless abusive event. I would have given this event 5 stars but any event that allows animals to be abused deserve none. read more

The Red Bluff Round Up is as good as it gets. This community is represented well with one of the finest rodeos in the nation. I have been attending rodeos for over 30 years and the Red Bluff Round Up is the best I have seen. The wild horse race and the wild ride are just the icing on the cake of this otherwise exciting event. This is a great event for adults and families alike. We bring our little kids and love seeing all the horses, bulls, Clydesdales and clowns. The Rodeo continues to get better every year! read more

It's a good time for all! Where the animals also compete as athletes and are better cared for than their human co-competitors. It's a refreshing blast of western Americana. read more

The red bluff store is very good. However the corporate web site sucks. It won;t let me order just a pizza without trying to sell me a bunch of shit. The menu is hard to navigate with out mistakingly ordering something I don't want. Also the practice of not alowing your drivers to carry peppers or cheeze is not productive. The prices in recent years is raising above and beyond the national inflation rate. In other words you are doing the exact same thing that every other buisness is doing to raise prices and fuck the little man. tennisondavid@gmail.com read more
