I cannot in good conscious recommend purchasing from MoonBeam Farm on Etsy. They seem to be intentionally misleading buyers into believing they are getting something other than what they are with their pictures and descriptions. I purchased 2 of their largest loofah sponges for a gift basket I was putting together. Shipping for the 2 sponges was rather high at a third of the cost of my total purchase ($12.50 shipping). When I hadn't received any shipment notification or tracking for my purchase I made an inquiry to get tracking, only to be told that they weren't shipped and weren't "scheduled to be shipped" until a full week after they were purchased and paid for... I thought ok, they shouldn't take long to arrive, stupidly assuming that they would be sent priority mail since the shipping was so high. Ship times are misrepresented on their page and I didn't receive my package until 16 days after purchase...not including the day I purchased. I opened the rather small box with 2 of the most pitifully small loofahs I have ever seen. 1 of them would have been considered grade B with discoloration while the other was just ridiculously small. I can't honestly imagine why they would have sent these pitiful sponges to anyone unless it was as a free gift with a purchase...but that wasn't the case, which leads me to believe it was intentional and they just figured they would get away with it. I sent an email with pictures of the items I received. Before long I received back a very standard canned response asking for pictures (which I had already sent). I got a message back about "I don't know what I was thinking" and that they would send the correct items by the end of the week. I did request that they expedite my shipment as it didn't seem fair to expect me to wait another 2 plus weeks to receive what I purchased. I also let them know I was unhappy that they charged $12.50 for a box that cost them $6 to ship and then sent it the slowest cheapest way possible which also did not meet the posted transit times of when to expect your purchase. They made an excuse saying Etsy sets the shipping rates, to which my response was yes, but YOU choose when you ship the item and by what method. When I finally did receive the replacement order they were at least reasonable loofah sponges, however nothing overly remarkable and certainly not what is represented in the video of the item I purchased. I should have probably spent more time reviewing all the details of the seller. Looking at all their reviews it is clear to me that some of the reviews are not genuine and likely posted by friends, family or employees trying to make the company look good. If you look through them you can see the difference between a real review and a fake one. Originally, I was going to purchase the whole unpeeled loofahs, but thankfully, I read another person's review which noted the item is NOT whole (as listed) since the seeds are removed. Again this is another example of how the seller is intentionally misleading their buyers and misrepresenting what they are selling.

Did you know this is how loofahs grow?

Stayed here as part of Harvest Hosts and learned that loofahs are a vegetable! What the?! Lol Great spot to spend the evening. Caz is passionate about her farm and what she is working to turn it into. Fantastic products in their shop, made right here on the farm. You can shop them on Etsy too. Help support local!

What a cute place! My husband found this place on Facebook marketing and thought: let's go! So we did. It's a fairly small and quaint place. Lavender season is coming to an end, so most of the lavender was gone. The loofah plants were still growing strong! They were still flowering and bees were everywhere! The lady gave us a small tour of the loofah plants. She said there are 6 different bees that visit their farm - there are no beehives on the farm! With all the crops pollinating, they made a hybrid loofah of sorts. As you can see in the pictures - they are huge! They sell seeds to try to grow tour own (which we bought). Inside the little red barn is the store. They sell lotions, oils, loofahs, and other gifts. She gave us a look in the back where they make everything. They had just made a loofah with Shea butter as a soap. As I was shopping for family, I was really hooked on that shea butter loofah, and she offered to pack it up for us - sold! The owner Caz Hansen also offers classes, which can be found on the website. One class was how to harvest and dry the lavender. Could be fun! So in short, super friendly, homemade, natural, and worth at least a visit. I bet it's beautiful in the lavender peak season!

We stopped here while passing through Corning on a cross-country trip, the owner Caz is so nice! She answered questions, chatted about farming, and showed us how loofahs grow because who knew!!? She even entertained my 12 month old for a bit. We bought some amazing smelling products, she offered us some veggies she had just picked and let us clip some lavender wands for the road!! AMAZING!! This place is a must stop. Also check out her Etsy store!!!

    Sunset at the farm

Adorable little farm with easy access to the 5. Close to the olive pit, which makes a great 2-1 stop. We visited via our harvest host membership, and we would recommend staying/visiting. Beautiful sunsets in the warm Cali air.

    Loofahs in the making!

We got in comfortably with our 44ft 5th wheel and parked easily along the lavender fields for the night.
