8/2/2025- Got up…read moreextra early to make our annual peach trip- Lucked out with the freestone "Oh Henry" variety.. Huge crops this year! Bought two boxes plus one big one.. Sharing some with family and to take back home- Owner was so nice! Even gave some samples of pluots- Not sure why Yelp had taken it down because Yelper's said it was closed down.. Check social media and website to confirm hours..

I was driving down Highway 70 through the town of Marysville. For folks familiar with the area,…read moreit's rural farmland and orchards with a bunch of little roadside farm stands. The landscape is nondescript and is very similar looking as you drive past multiple orchards. But Sodaro Orchards little hand crafted roadside signs stood out from all the rest, those caught my eye. I made that u turn back to check them out. I turned off the main road and drove down a small gravel road. Just follow the additional handcrafted artsy signs. On the right is the fruit stand. You can't miss it. It's not far at all from the main road. In season now are plums, Plouts, peaches (o Henry and white varieties), nectarines... stone fruit! Also they had tomatoes, corn, yellow onions, Bartlett pears, local honey... I'm sure I'm missing something. Everything looked fresh but to me the superstar was the peaches. I bought a bunch of O Henry peaches. A whole flat is $25. The peaches were a good ole healthy size. Gorgeous color and texture. They had copies of their family peach cobbler recipe. I made one that night. I followed the recipe and it turned out gorgeously picture perfect gorgeousand delightfully delectable. Bubbly peach syrupy goodness. Plus the peaches were also darn good just eating them as is. The fella manning the stand was awesome. Great outgoing upbeat personality. #SodaroOrchardsFruitStandInMarysville #SodaroOrchardsPeaches

Free flowers to pick?! :D…read more I first heard about this place through a social media post, and I was like "I need to go visit this spot and pick some flowers!" One Thursday last month, we got to do just that. My sister, Sesame (my friend's dog that we were doggie-sitting), and I took a little day trip to Woodland. It was super hot that day with the temperature at 98degrees! Ugh... I got out my wagon to put Sesame in there so that she doesn't have to walk on the hot ground. We each picked a bouquet of flowers, and they were pretty. They did start wilting immediately the next day. But nonetheless, I'm glad we got to experience this place. It would be better to go either earlier in the morning or later when it less hot though. Parking was easy as they have their own little parking area. Watch for their signs to enter in the right area as the neighbor has sighs too that shows that people have tried to go their space accidentally.

How thoughtful the Mezger Family is to allow people on their property and pick their beautiful crop…read moreof Zinnias for no cost. The location is well marked. You bring your own cutters and bucket. It's the honor system. When we were there everyone was respectful. Most of the Zinnias in full bloom had been cut but we still enjoyed and came home with bulbs to soon show their beauty. A Fun, relaxing time, to put the phone away, except to capture beautiful photos, and enjoy the outdoors. Big thank you to the Mezger Family. Tip: Make sure you check out their FB page for updates on closures before you road trip
