My husband was even interested in everything that we learned. We had lots of questions and Caz answered them. The man who works on the farm was so kind to bring out some fresh lavender for us to have. Thank You! We took a self guided tour of the loofas. Fascinating. I had fun shopping in the store. There were so many different items for sale. I got some fun gifts for my girlfriends back in San Diego. If you love lavender, like I do, or if you're curious about loofa, be sure to plan a stop at this farm. Be sure to check out their website for current hours. www.MoonBeamFarm.com They offer classes. Moonbeam Farm and Country Store have such a cute selection of lavender products and gifts. The staff was so friendly and helpful. They said their products are all organic and do not include parabens. The landscape is nondescript and is very similar looking as you drive past multiple orchards. But Sodaro Orchards little hand crafted roadside signs stood out from all the rest, those caught my eye. I made that u turn back to check them out. I turned off the main road and drove down a small gravel road. Just follow the additional handcrafted artsy signs. On the right is the fruit stand. You can't miss it. It's not far at all from the main road. In season now are plums, Plouts, peaches (o Henry and white varieties), nectarines... stone fruit! Also they had tomatoes, corn, yellow onions, Bartlett pears, local honey... I'm sure I'm missing something. Everything looked fresh but to me the superstar was the peaches. I bought a bunch of O Henry peaches. A whole flat is $25. The peaches were a good ole healthy size. Gorgeous color and texture. They had copies of their family peach cobbler recipe. I made one that night. I followed the recipe and it turned out gorgeously picture perfect gorgeousand delightfully delectable. Bubbly peach syrupy goodness. Plus the peaches were also darn good just eating them as is. The fella manning the stand was awesome. Great outgoing upbeat personality. #SodaroOrchardsFruitStandInMarysville #SodaroOrchardsPeaches

She had them in the freezer. 3 pies, and @2 pounds of peaches was $85.00. The marrionberry pie was incredible!!!! You take and bake. Instructions are on the box and easy to follow. Now that my…read morethree youngest kids eat strawberries like they're candy and it was Mother's Day it seemed like the best time to go! Although, it was a bit of a drive for us coming from Sacramento/Elk Grove we were able to maximize our time there. The strawberry farm is family owned and located not too far from other businesses in the area if you wanted to find something to eat or find somewhere else to hang out afterwards. There was a food truck, Laopino, that had delicious lumpias, music, a bubble machine, plus a few games and activities to keep the little ones occupied, and shaded tables to enjoy your fresh harvests. :) Tickets are only available online. Weekend tickets are released on Thursdays at 7 pm. When choosing our date and time it shows we only had an hour to pick but really we got to take our time and enjoy our morning. I feel they show you have a one hour slot to help stagger guests in. I love how they had a little gift shop set up, another tent with fresh flowers, drinks, and beautiful cookies at the register to purchase. The strawberry fields had plenty to choose from. We saw lots of bright red ones varying from all sizes. The staff also informed us there were 6 types of strawberries being grown! My kids enjoyed only for a short while and mainly wanted to stay in the kid area. There are also plenty of photo ops on the farm too! We would absolutely return in the future. Highly recommend!

Being able to include her in picking the strawberries then taking them home to eat fresh off the vine was everything and more. They offer 6 different varieties of strawberries, yup you read that right. I had no idea there were more than one variety, so this educational part was cool. The farm can get crowded and with this Sac heat, I highly recommend scheduling your reservation early and on a weekday. The farm is family owned and everyone is so nice. Would absolutely recommend this idea to families with your kiddos.

Free flowers to pick?! :D…read more I first heard about this place through a social media post, and I was like "I need to go visit this spot and pick some flowers!" One Thursday last month, we got to do just that. My sister, Sesame (my friend's dog that we were doggie-sitting), and I took a little day trip to Woodland. It was super hot that day with the temperature at 98degrees! Ugh... I got out my wagon to put Sesame in there so that she doesn't have to walk on the hot ground. We each picked a bouquet of flowers, and they were pretty. They did start wilting immediately the next day. But nonetheless, I'm glad we got to experience this place. It would be better to go either earlier in the morning or later when it less hot though. Parking was easy as they have their own little parking area. Watch for their signs to enter in the right area as the neighbor has sighs too that shows that people have tried to go their space accidentally.
